The sweet lemon scent also made me feel good.
ConsAfter using it, my hair felt much stiffer compared to other products.

It is predominantly a sweet aroma, and after washing, the scalp feels refreshing.
ConsThe hair becomes stiff. And judging from the presence of sensitizing ingredients, prolonged use may be cautious as it may cause back acne or body acne.

ConsI'm not sure if this shampoo is the cause, but coincidentally, when I use this shampoo, I get breakouts on my hairline and forehead area. The issues go away when I switch to a different shampoo. I believe this shampoo is the culprit, so I can no longer use it. I really want to use Lush products, but it's too disappointing.
TipIt's best to do a patch test beforehand if possible.

You know the famous Lush Big Shampoo, right? I've used 2-3 bottles of that, and both it and this one have sea salt that creates a really invigorating lather when you massage it into your scalp. It feels so refreshing ㅠㅠㅠ I think the wasabi and caffeine ingredients also contribute to the cooling sensation, but it just feels so revitalizing - it's great!
ConsTo be honest, the only downside, if you can call it that, is that Lush products aren't exactly cheap..., the price! :)
Tip+ Since Lush products try to minimize the use of harmful chemicals, your hair may feel a bit drier after using them compared to regular shampoos! It's a good idea to use a separate conditioner, essence, etc. to take care of your hair. +You all know Lush has a big annual Fresh sale, right? As a Lush fanatic, I managed to snag the Wasabi Shan Kui Shampoo during this year's Fresh sale :)🤍

ConsThe price!! The prices of Lush products are always a bit disappointing. If they were just a little more affordable, they would be even better.

Trial Reviewers' reviews undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThe name of the shampoo is Wasabi Shan Quee, but it doesn't have the pungent wasabi-like scent. Instead, it has a refreshing and sweet fruity aroma, reminiscent of a blend of kiwi and lemon. The product quality is really good, so I'm inclined to repurchase it, but the price makes me hesitant. 😢 I'd recommend this shampoo to people with thin hair and lack of volume. It thoroughly cleanses the scalp, leaving a cool and refreshing sensation. Regardless of whether your scalp is oily, dry, or sensitive, this shampoo can be used without significant aversion.
ConsThe only downside is the price, which is too expensive. Especially in Korea, Lush products are much more expensive compared to other countries, and this is my biggest complaint. It seems like they are importing the products from the UK, and I'm curious if they can't source the raw materials domestically like other countries.
TipA pro tip is to wash your hair in two steps. This way, your hair will be cleansed more thoroughly, and you can also conserve the shampoo. First, use a small coin-sized amount, work it into your palms, and gently massage it into your scalp. This is the pre-wash step. After rinsing, use the same amount of shampoo for the second wash, and you'll get much more lather. This method helps keep your hair cleaner and less greasy for a longer time.

Trial Reviewers' reviews undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis seems to be a pretty decent cool shampoo. It's definitely not a shiny, glossy shampoo, but more of a sebum-controlling shampoo with strong cleansing power. However, it doesn't make the hair too stiff either, leaving it with a moderately squeaky-clean and bouncy feel, which is not unpleasant. But the most defining aspects of this product seem to be the fragrance and the cooling effect. It has a sweet bubblegum-like scent, which may be divisive - I've found that I sometimes enjoy it, while at other times it can feel too sweet. It's certainly not a sophisticated fragrance. The cooling effect is not overpowering, but a pleasant, subtle one that most people will likely appreciate. With my oily scalp, frequent breakouts, and itchiness, I'm glad to report that this shampoo did not cause any irritation! That's a solid baseline for me.
ConsI feel like the fragrance could have been a bit more refreshing and invigorating to better match the overall concept of the product. The sudden transition from a cool shampoo to a bubblegum scent feels a bit jarring. There are also times when the fragrance can feel a bit cloying, further straying from the identity of a cool shampoo. As for the price, I'm honestly not sure if it's worth it - Lush products tend to be on the pricier side in general.

Cons-Sticky/heavy feeling: While I haven't tried all of Lush's shampoos, most of them tend to feel a bit sticky when rinsing. And as someone with a slightly oily scalp, I don't like the slick, heavy feeling that some nourishing or perfumed shampoos leave behind. Those shampoos may rinse out smoothly, but they leave residue in my hair, making it feel greasy and prone to breakouts. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the sticky Lush shampoos.
TipLeaving the shampoo on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing can provide an extremely refreshing and clean feeling - highly recommended!

I use this shampoo about 2 times a week, and it feels like I just got a scalp scrub - it's so cooling! I was worried the wasabi scent might be off-putting, but it's not at all like that! It's actually slightly sweet?
ConsThe only downside is that the amount is small and it's a bit pricey? But since it's not meant for daily use, I think it's appropriate.

It seems to have a menthol component, so those who enjoy the cool feeling of products like Head & Shoulders will likely love this. The fragrance is better than expected - a lemony soda with a hint of yogurt, creating a crisp, sweet, and slightly nostalgic bubble gum-like scent and texture. Personally, I really enjoy this fragrance. Before using this, I was using Daddy-O, and while the fragrance doesn't last as long, this shampoo leaves my hair less stiff. The cleansing power is also better. I believe this is a shampoo for oily hair, and the oiliness seems to take longer to return compared to before.
ConsThis is the most expensive among the Lush shampoos, so the value for money is a bit disappointing. While it leaves my hair less stiff than Daddy-O, it's still a bit stiff. You'll need to use a treatment or conditioner after shampooing. The weak fragrance longevity could be an issue for those who prioritize scent.
