The fragrance is aromatic and slightly sweet at the end, with no hint of wasabi. While the presence of salt makes it a bit burdensome to use daily, my scalp feels refreshed and invigorated after using it.
ConsThe price is quite expensive, and there are salt granules, so it may be too irritating for daily use.
TipScoop it up in the palm of your hand, press it with the other hand, and apply it to the scalp. Shampooing afterward will ensure the salt granules are well-distributed, resulting in a more refreshing sensation. Be sure to let it sit for about 5 minutes after shampooing, and you will experience a truly pleasant and Hwahae-like refreshing sensation.

The sweet lemon scent is also a mood-lifter.
ConsAfter use, I noticed my hair felt significantly stiffer compared to other products.

It has a predominantly sweet scent, and after washing, my scalp feels refreshingly cool.
ConsIt makes my hair feel stiff. Also, considering it contains ingredients that aren't great for sensitive skin, I'm cautious about long-term use as it might cause back acne or body blemishes.

ConsI'm not sure if this shampoo is the cause, but coincidentally, when I use it, I get blemishes along my hairline and on my forehead where my hair touches. The problem clears up as soon as I switch to a different shampoo. I suspect this product is the culprit, so I can't use it anymore. I really like Lush products and want to use them, but this is quite disappointing.
TipIf possible, make sure to do a patch test first.

The fragrance is just right - refreshing and sweet, which is surprising because I usually dislike strong citrus scents like lemon or grapefruit. It makes washing my hair a delightful experience. The real star is how it feels when you use it. You know how famous Lush's Big shampoo is, right? I've used about 2-3 bottles of Big, and both contain sea salt. When you lather it up and massage it into your scalp, it feels incredibly refreshing. I think the wasabi and caffeine ingredients make it feel even more invigorating. It leaves my hair feeling so clean and fresh!
ConsIf I had to point out one drawback, it would be the price. Lush products aren't exactly known for being cheap.
TipJust a heads up - since Lush products aim to be eco-friendly and minimize harmful chemicals, your hair might feel a bit drier compared to mainstream shampoos. It's a good idea to use a conditioner or hair essence afterward for extra care! Also, don't forget that Lush has a big Fresh sale once a year. As a die-hard Lush fan, I managed to snag the Wasabi Shan Kui shampoo during this year's Fresh sale!

I really like it!
ConsThe price! Lush's products are always great, but the high cost is always disappointing. If they could make it just a bit more affordable, it would be perfect.

Instead, it offers a refreshing and sweet fruity aroma, reminiscent of a blend of kiwi and lemon - a delightfully crisp fragrance. The product's effectiveness is truly impressive, making me consider repurchasing. However, the price gives me pause. It's particularly recommended for those with thin hair lacking volume. It thoroughly cleanses the scalp, providing a cool, invigorating sensation. This shampoo seems suitable for all scalp types - oily, dry, or sensitive - so it's likely to be well-received by most users.
ConsThe only downside is the steep price point! Especially considering that Lush products in Korea are significantly more expensive compared to other countries, which is my main grievance. I'm curious why they import the products from the UK instead of sourcing ingredients locally and manufacturing in Korea, like they do in some other countries.
TipHere's a pro tip: divide your hair washing into two phases. This method ensures a thorough cleanse and helps conserve shampoo. For the first wash, use a small, coin-sized amount. Lather it in your palms, then massage it into your scalp, focusing on the roots rather than the lengths. Take your time with this step, giving your scalp a thorough massage. Rinse, then repeat with the same amount for the second wash - you'll notice a much richer lather. This technique helps keep your hair cleaner for longer, reduces oiliness, and minimizes odor.

It's not the type that makes your hair silky smooth, but rather a strong cleansing shampoo suitable for oily scalps, as you'd expect. However, it doesn't leave your hair feeling too stiff. Instead, it finishes with a nice balance of cleanliness and bounce, which left a good impression on me. The most striking aspects of this product are definitely its scent and cooling effect. It has a sweet bubblegum fragrance, which might be hit or miss for some people. I found that my opinion on the scent varied depending on my mood - sometimes it felt pleasant, other times too sweet. It's certainly not a sophisticated fragrance. The cooling sensation isn't intense, but rather a subtle, pleasant feeling that I think most people will enjoy. I have an oily scalp prone to blemishes and itchiness, but this shampoo didn't cause any irritation! For me, that alone makes it a solid choice.
ConsI feel the fragrance could have been more refreshing and invigorating to better match the overall concept of the product. The sudden bubblegum scent in what's supposed to be a cool, refreshing shampoo feels a bit out of place. Sometimes the scent even comes across as slightly sticky, which seems to contradict the 'cool shampoo' identity even more. As for the price, well... I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the cost, as is often the case with Lush products.

It feels incredibly refreshing and cool (thanks to the menthol ingredient). - Pleasant scent & excellent longevity: The sweet and tangy fragrance is mood-lifting. - Scrub effect: The particles in the shampoo provide a scalp scrub effect when massaged into the hair.
Cons- Squeaky clean feel: While I haven't tried all of Lush's shampoos, most of them tend to leave hair feeling quite 'stripped' when rinsing. Personally, I have a slightly oily scalp and dislike the slippery residue left by high-nourishing or perfumed shampoos. Those shampoos rinse out smoothly, but I feel they leave residue on the hair and can lead to more pimples and oiliness. I actually prefer the 'squeaky clean' feel of Lush shampoos.
TipHighly recommend leaving the shampoo on for 1-2 minutes after lathering, then rinsing for an ultimate clean and refreshed feeling.

I use this shampoo about twice a week, and it feels like I've just had a professional scalp treatment - so invigorating! I was initially concerned about the scent, given that it contains wasabi, but it doesn't smell like that at all! It actually has a slightly sweet aroma.
ConsThere's really nothing to complain about... except maybe that the quantity is a bit small and it's on the pricier side? But since it's probably too intense for daily use on the scalp anyway, I think the amount is just right!
