The biggest advantage is how gentle it is! I've tried many toner pads, and this one stands out as both mild and hydrating. It's a really nice product. There's hardly any scent, which is great. The pads are quite thick and have a deep embossed texture. For me, this means they don't adhere to the skin as well as I'd like. It's not really a drawback, just more of a characteristic to note. - ne**********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessDead Skin CellsApr 26, 2025
For dry skin, this seems to have the best absorption among toner pads. The tweezers are also quite effective compared to others, making it convenient to use. However, I wouldn't recommend it for super sensitive skin. I tried it because it was supposed to be effective for blemishes, but it didn't live up to my expectations. I won't be repurchasing... - yj***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2025
Skin type: Dry, prone to redness and blemishes during seasonal changes Product highlights: - Dual-action pads that exfoliate with LHA, provide deep hydration with rice bran water, and balance skin pH - Moisturizing skincare with barley beta-glucan, which has superior hydration retention compared to hyaluronic acid - Generous shelf life of over 2 years User experience: - No stinging or irritation, even on sensitive or reddened skin - Soft, dual-sided pads (one smooth, one textured) that leave no residue - Lightweight hydration suitable for both quick absorption and as an exfoliating toner Overall impression & tips: - Excellent for refining skin texture using either side of the pad - Perfect for quickly replenishing moisture in your skincare routine The fast absorption might disappoint those looking for a more prolonged moisturizing effect - ju*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 23, 2025
I bought this for easy daily exfoliation! The best part is the one-touch opening and built-in tweezers with storage. Usually, I avoid products that are a hassle to use, but this one's so convenient I've been using it consistently for two weeks. Unlike most toner pads that are drenched in essence, these aren't overly saturated - but they're not dry either, which is perfect! The feel was surprisingly substantial. I expected a quick, drying wipe, but these have more viscosity than typical toner pads, leaving my skin feeling hydrated. Despite this, they absorb well without feeling heavy. I'm really satisfied with how they gently exfoliate without irritation, and I feel like they even help smooth out dead skin cells that accumulate overnight when I use them in the morning. I don't have any major complaints. If anything, it's so gentle that I wish it focused a bit more on exfoliation. - ch*************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 9, 2025
The toner-soaked pads are generously saturated, and best of all, they don't leave any lint behind! They're incredibly gentle too. Even with my sensitive, eczema-prone skin, I can use them without any tingling sensation, even when I'm in a rush and apply more pressure than usual. They cleanse softly and effectively! The formula isn't sticky and seems to provide good hydration. Above all, the entire Green Barley series is working wonders for my uneven skin texture! The price is quite steep. Even when purchased on sale, it still feels expensive. Also, it sometimes feels like it's not fully absorbing into the skin. - h_*****Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 8, 2025
As someone who wears glasses, I often get little bumps where they sit on my skin. I saw an ad for this product and thought, 'Why not give it a try?' Now I'm on my fourth bottle - it's a true must-have! My skin type is combination dehydrated, with an oil slick in the T-zone and butterfly zone. I also have redness and thin skin. After using it consistently for a month, those pesky bumps have noticeably decreased. Even the whiteheads on my chin and blemishes that used to pop up when I was tired have significantly reduced. The major downside is that it rarely goes on sale, either at Olive Young or on the official website. For even better results, try using it alongside the cleansing oil from the same line. - 4w********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresFeb 7, 2025
I tried this product with high hopes because it contains lactic acid However, it seems the lactic acid content is lower than I expected Despite this, it might still be suitable for those new to chemical exfoliants or with sensitive skin - yo**********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJan 7, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, winter makeup used to flake and dry out my face. Now, every morning after cleansing, I place these pads on my skin for 5-10 minutes like a mask. Then I gently wipe with the textured side before applying makeup. It absorbs so well! The pads are a bit thick, making it tricky to use around the nose and under the chin. They're not easily torn either. After a week of daily use, I noticed some irritation - my face became bumpy and red. It improved after I stopped using them for 3 days. For easier application, try cutting the pads with cosmetic scissors. Remember to create a clean, dedicated space for this. - in******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 1, 2024
1. Scent: While the herbal aroma doesn't overwhelm you, it's still quite noticeable. You'll think, 'Oh! That's quite a grassy smell!' 2. Thickness: One side of the sheet has a slightly textured surface. This seems ideal for the 'doctor's tape' method. It has a substantial feel to it. 3. Blemishes: Reading through reviews, I noticed some users experienced blemishes while others didn't. Personally, I didn't have any issues. 4. After using the 'doctor's tape' method and patting in the remaining essence, my skin felt incredibly hydrated and wonderful. To be honest, I bought this after seeing a celebrity endorsement, but I didn't experience the dramatic effects shown in the advertisement... - sy*********Dry SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 15, 2024
I've been using this for a month now, and I can definitely see a difference in my skin texture on days I use this compared to days I use other toners. As someone with dry skin, I'm really satisfied with how it keeps my skin hydrated during seasonal changes when my skin tends to get drier. It effectively combats that tight, dry feeling and leaves my skin feeling moisturized. While it can be a bit tricky to separate the pads one by one, I think it's actually a good sign. It shows that the pads are thoroughly soaked in the toner essence, which is better than having dry pads. During my use, I found that by not removing the inner seal under the lid, the toner essence stayed more hydrated and seemed to last longer.
