The lotion-type formula doesn't produce much lather, so I'm not sure if it's actually cleansing, but it is definitely moisturizing and non-irritating. As someone who mainly uses gentle products since I don't wear much makeup, this cleanser seems suitable for me. It would also work well for morning cleansing. Makeup, aside from sunscreen, probably won't be removed very thoroughly. After cleansing, there's less dryness, so I have some time before applying toner, which I appreciate. This is one of the few cleansers that is mildly acidic, doesn't produce much lather, and doesn't irritate the skin at all. You know that if you have extremely sensitive skin, you shouldn't use anything that foams even a little bit, right? After using this, my skin really improved. To be precise, my skin improved after using a non-foaming cleanser. Since it doesn't compromise the skin barrier, I don't get any acne at all. The acne I had wasn't from not washing enough. I think I'll use this forever. There's no similar product out there. I've never seen a cleansing product from other brands that produces this little lather. The Fresh soy cleanser is similar, but the price is crazy.
