The color isn't too yellow or too pink (or grayish), and there's no darkening effect. Espoir is my favorite brand for color matching! Other brands often lean too yellow or pink, making it hard to find a good match, but Espoir's shades work best for me. They nail that perfect ivory tone! It's a shade that most Koreans would love without much debate. While I'm a big fan of the Espoir brand overall, their Be Velvet foundation doesn't seem to work well for me.
ConsThis product requires a lot of effort and attention to apply properly. It's not an easy, everyday-use kind of product, which makes me less inclined to reach for it. As a result, it often sits unused after purchase. Personally, I prefer products that apply easily, but this one demands careful attention every time, making it challenging for daily use. The thick and matte combination makes it prone to pilling. When applied with fingers, it accentuates dead skin cells, laugh lines, and every pore. Everything that could possibly look uneven on the face does, plus it applies thickly. Even with careful application, these issues persist, so it requires a lot of effort. It's far from the modern, skin-like, thin layer makeup look. Instead, it focuses on high coverage with a thicker skin finish. I'd recommend this to someone prioritizing coverage, but for daily use, I'm not so sure. It's not as easy as a daily product should be, and the final look isn't as natural as you'd want for everyday wear.

I'm really enjoying using it.
ConsIn winter, it can appear a bit matte and might look slightly cakey, but it's fine if you prep your skin well with proper skincare.

Even a small amount covered redness well when applied.
ConsThere is a slight tendency for it to look cakey. Since it's matte, those with dry skin should really focus on a solid skincare routine before using this.
TipApply your base makeup until your skin feels slightly tacky, then use a spatula to build up the product!

Extremely dry on both cheeks & combination on forehead and nose 2. Light complexion, around shade 19-20 3. Smooth skin without visible pores or texture, but with some dark spots 4. Base makeup preference: Brightening effect, very thin and lightweight for a natural look, matte finish (currently using Double Wear in Porcelain) 1. Application Applies well - lightweight and spreads smoothly Used a spatula + puff combination The fluid texture applies well with a spatula or brush 2. Coverage Good coverage for a matte foundation Instead of layering for perfect coverage (which can look heavy), I recommend applying thinly and using concealer 3. Shade The shade seems a bit dark for 19-21 I intentionally bought a darker shade to mix It has a slightly reddish undertone The color changes after application and setting It becomes a bit darker Since Petal isn't my usual shade and is darker than my skin, I'm not sure about all the pros and cons
Cons1. Scent Strong cosmetic fragrance, like baby powder?? Absolutely dislike it ㅠㅠ Even when I mixed just a little with other foundations, the strong scent gave me a headache all day 2. Extremely Matte It's really matte I tried a mini sample of B'Silk when it first came out and thought that was matte, but this feels like B'Silk with an extra powder finish It's very powdery Might be great for oily skin types or those who usually set with powder as you won't need additional powder But even though I use Double Wear well, my extremely dry skin felt very dehydrated with this ㅠㅠ
Tip1. No need for powder if you usually set your makeup 2. The fluid texture works well with a spatula 3. If it's too matte, try mixing with another foundation 4. If it doesn't work for you, return it..

Amazing! The staying power is great, and the coverage is decent.
ConsIt's quite matte, so I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. Also, make sure to shake the product well before use. It tends to separate easily.

I'm comfortable using both foundation and cushions, but after trying many products, I've settled on two or three that really work for me due to my strong preferences. Espoir base products tend to run about half a shade lighter, and with shades from 13 to 23, there's a wide range to choose from. I usually use shade 21, and for the Be Glow Cushion or foundation, I've been using the Ivory shade. The Petal shade is not too muted and has a nice brightness to it. As the color is more subdued, it matches my complexion better, which seems to enhance the coverage, giving a much smoother appearance. There's also minimal darkening, which is reassuring.
ConsI had high hopes for the new Be Velvet line, which was described as semi-matte, but I found that the results vary greatly depending on how you apply your skincare beforehand. When applied over a moisturizing cream, it gives a glow similar to the Be Glow Cushion. However, with a lighter skincare base, it showed signs of pilling.
