I used to apply a separate whitening cream, but I was a bit worried if it provided proper UV protection. I was considering a sun pact, but this product takes care of both sun protection and evening out my skin tone, so I don't even need to apply a separate whitening cream - so convenient! The puff applicator is great as it keeps my hands clean, and a little goes a long way. The matte finish is perfect for those with oily skin. As someone whose face gets oily quickly, I really appreciate the powder-like finish.
ConsThose with dry skin might find it a tad drying! But it should be great as a summer option.
TipFor best results, make sure to apply plenty of moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated before using this product!

The bottom is semi-transparent while the top has a matte orange finish, reminiscent of a Go stone. The cushion puff really makes a difference. Half of it has a cut-like texture, while the other half feels fluffy, seemingly perfect for coverage. Speaking of coverage, those with acne scars might not be fully satisfied. However, it should be fine for those with clearer skin (I'd say medium-low coverage). Surprisingly, it doesn't feel very drying. In fact, I got a sense of hydration. Usually, other sun cushions leave my skin feeling dry, but this one was quite nice in that regard.
ConsOne thing's for sure - if you don't set it with powder, the transfer onto masks is no joke. I find the color to be a bit disappointing. I have a shade 23 complexion, and this is extremely light. It does adjust to my skin tone naturally over time, but it's still noticeably bright.
TipBecause it feels so hydrating, you can get away with lighter skincare underneath. It's great for when you're in a hurry. The amount is easy to control, making application a breeze.

If it didn't cause breakouts, I'd love to use it in summer. Coverage: Great at concealing redness, excellent coverage Scent: Almost fragrance-free, so it's fine to wear a mask right after application Packaging: The round orange case is adorable Texture: As someone with combination skin, it feels pleasantly matte, which should be perfect for summer use
ConsUnfortunately, something in this product didn't agree with my skin and caused blemishes...

The cushion puff is fantastic - it doesn't absorb all the product but holds it and transfers it fully to your skin. True to its name, it brightens your complexion by a shade. Being a mineral sunscreen, it's perfect for those rushed mornings when you need to apply and dash out. It's more matte than moisturizing or oily, giving you that coveted powder-fresh finish. It's fragrance-free, doesn't break down over time, and even covers mild redness and blemishes. Plus, it's long-lasting! These features are both pros and cons.
ConsWhile most mineral sunscreens tend to feel heavy and suffocating, this one doesn't - but it can feel a bit drying after a while. The coverage isn't particularly strong. As a sun cushion, it comes in only one shade, and despite being called 'tone-up', it doesn't adapt to individual skin tones over time, which is a bit disappointing given how diverse our complexions are. You'll need to pay extra attention to cleansing!
TipTo combat the matte finish, make sure your skin is well-hydrated and your skincare is fully absorbed before application. This should help with any dryness. I've found that spritzing some face mist on the puff before use can also make a noticeable difference.

Texture: As someone with dry skin, I find this product has a slightly matte finish rather than being overly hydrating. Also, I have sensitive skin, but I'm satisfied that it doesn't cause any blemishes. Longevity: It seems to last about half a day, and it might be good to touch up once in the afternoon.
ConsThere's a slight issue with it settling into pores, so it's best to pat the cushion well when applying. It's suitable for quick outings near home.
TipIt's best to apply it thinly and lightly. Rather than applying it thickly, it's better to control the amount for a smooth, non-clumping finish!

When applied, it gives an incredibly smooth feeling to your complexion. It brightens your skin tone naturally without an excessive white cast. However, those with a shade close to 21 might find it slightly dark, as the formula itself isn't white but has a skin-toned base color! For a sunscreen, it covers blemishes quite well, making it suitable for those who want to use it on its own. If your skin condition is good, the tone evening and overall finish are excellent. #Bouncy puff The quality of the included puff is surprisingly good. #Scent There's barely any fragrance, which is a big plus. #Packaging They use paper cushioning instead of plastic bubble wrap. The paper box containing the case also has Braille labeling + Uses recycled green tea paper
Cons#Unnatural fading #Slight pilling I'm currently using two sunscreens - Dewytree Urban Shade and Biodance Skin Barrier. Neither of these pill, but with this product, maybe due to poor amount control on first use, it pilled like texture... I recommend managing your skin texture before application. #Dryness #Mask transfer If you don't prep your skin well, you might find it drying. It doesn't seem to pair well with mask-wearing. It transfers and since it's skin-colored, you can see it on the mask! #Design The design might be divisive, but the color is prettier than in the photo... I'm leaning slightly towards dislike, but that's just because it's not my style. The container itself is light and has no issues.
TipIf you have dry skin or during dry seasons, it's best to moisturize in your skincare routine with collagen or hyaluronic acid products, or any that suit your preference, before using this.

As someone who religiously uses Dr.G Brightening Up Sun Cream every summer, I was delighted to win this sun cushion. To cut to the chase, my verdict is that these two products are quite similar. Application: It goes on very moisturizing at first, then settles into a matte finish over time. I think it'll be perfect for summer use. Color: It comes out brighter than expected, with a subtle pink tint. It gives a slight white cast, reminiscent of a mineral sunscreen. User experience: The puff picks up just the right amount of product, and the compact is well-filled. I'm carefully controlling the amount I apply, and it seems to work well for touch-ups too. As someone with oily skin dreading the approaching summer, I think this will be a great addition to my routine.
ConsOne issue I've noticed is that, depending on what I apply before or after the sun cushion, it can settle into my large pores. It's important to find the right product combination. Also, those with dry skin might find it a bit too matte.
TipTo minimize pore-settling, I've found that applying a hydrating base before this mattifying product helps significantly.

It's perfect for these mask-wearing times when heavy base makeup feels uncomfortable. You can easily finish your base with this. It seems like a product designed for summer. While it has a matte finish, the texture feels light and powdery when applying. The staying power seems good too. I didn't notice much transfer onto my mask. Update: For me, it's a bit drying in the current season. However, it might still work well for those with oily skin even in this weather.
ConsPerhaps due to its very matte formula, I noticed that while spreading it on my face, areas I had already applied with the cushion sponge would get rubbed off. Although patting the surrounding areas would quickly fix this, it was a bit bothersome during my morning rush to get ready for work.

Cons- Color... A yellowish ivory? Or pinkish? - After 3-4 hours, it starts pilling in the pores, making them look more noticeable - Transfers heavily onto masks and doesn't last long
TipI had high hopes for this since I love their sunscreen, but it was disappointing. While other aspects were fine, the pilling in the pores makes me reluctant to reach for this cushion.
