This Hwahae cleansing milk is gentle and can remove even heavy eye makeup. The formula is runny, making it easy to spread, but it doesn't flow like oil, which is nice. It rinses off well with just water during the first cleansing, without any stinging in the eyes, and produces a good lather during the second cleansing with a foam. (For products with a lot of residue, you usually have to wash your hands with soap before the second cleansing, but this one eliminates that hassle.) I have combination skin, and if I don't cleanse properly after makeup, I usually get uneven texture, but I haven't noticed that issue with this product yet (after about a month of use). The fragrance... the fragrance is quite artificial... Sensitive people may feel aversion to it. - tm**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 26, 2025
It removes makeup well, is gentle on the skin, and offers great value for money While its cleansing effectiveness is slightly lacking, that's somewhat unavoidable given it's a cleansing milk - ky********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 9, 2025
Duration of use: Over 6 months Purchase price: About 8500 won each in a 1+1 deal Scent: I personally didn't like it. Maybe because all ingredients are vegan... At first, I thought it had gone bad. It's like old cosmetics? There's a hint of soybean oil smell, but also a slightly fishy and stuffy earthy scent that's hard to describe. However, you do get used to it over time. Texture and feel: It's a milky beige type that feels slightly cool, slippery, and thick when applied to the skin. Imagine spreading a sticky pancake batter - does that make sense? A couple of pumps are enough for smooth rolling. After cleansing, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized with a rich finish, preventing any deep dryness. It was great for winter use, so I think those with dry skin would appreciate it. Cleansing effectiveness: I mainly used it with light cushion foundation and mineral sunscreen, and it removed them well. With careful and repeated rubbing, it even manages to remove most color makeup decently. From the first use, it often caused a burning sensation after application. About 7 out of 10 times, there was a tingling feeling, so even though it seems gentle, it might not suit everyone. There are about two ingredients to be cautious of - could these be the cause? It often struggled to remove waterproof sunscreen, especially mineral ones. It doesn't emulsify well, and even double cleansing couldn't solve the issue. It would partially remove the product but leave white residue in the pores, forcing me to use cleansing tissues or oil for a thorough cleanse, which was inconvenient. Be sure to check the ingredients carefully. This is suitable for those who dislike harsh cleansers and wear light makeup or sunscreen. Recommended for dry skin types. - kk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresMar 28, 2025
It's gentle and removes makeup well. I have sensitive skin, but it didn't cause any blemishes. A solid, reliable product overall. The cleansing effectiveness was slightly disappointing. I always had to follow up with a cleansing foam as a second step. - do*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 7, 2025
I've been using this product while searching for a gentle cleansing emulsion. I wish more oil-free cleansing emulsions would come out on the market. It's completely fragrance-free, and using 2-3 pumps is just perfect. I remove my eye and lip makeup with a separate remover, so I'm not sure how well it removes those, but it's gentle and effectively removes other makeup. After consistent use, I felt like my skin barrier was weakening, so I've stopped using it for now. - wo*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
This was a decent oil product. I liked that my skin still felt moisturized even after cleansing. It didn't completely eliminate blackheads or sebum, but it was an okay product overall. - re******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2025
It's gentle enough for sensitive skin. When removing sunscreen, foam cleansers can be too drying and oils too heavy, so I often use this milk-type cleanser. I'm not usually a fan of artificial fragrances, and unfortunately, the scent of this product is a bit disappointing. - wl**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 30, 2024
It's gentle and removes makeup effectively! Surprisingly, it even takes off stubborn mascara residue. I didn't have any issues with it, haha. Though it would be nice if it were a bit cheaper. - we*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 29, 2024
This product cleanses gently and is mild without irritation! I highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin who only use organic sunscreen. Plus, the price seems great for the amount you get! There's a bit of a slippery residue after washing. Also, the scent is somewhat unique, you might say.
