Texture: Being a hydrating primer, it has a nice emulsion-like consistency that applies smoothly, unlike traditional primers. The translucent formula feels lightweight and non-sticky, so makeup doesn't feel heavy on top. It doesn't cause pilling or make your base makeup separate. Moisturizing: It leaves the skin feeling hydrated and supple upon application. Packaging: The outer packaging has a clean, simple design. The pump dispenser makes it easy to use and keeps the product hygienic. Effectiveness: While it doesn't produce dramatic results, it's better than using nothing. I've been using it for months, and I find that makeup adheres better, there's less skin flaking, and it seems to even out my complexion. It also helps maintain hydration, making my skin feel less dry. Personal verdict: While it's better than using nothing, the difference is subtle. If you have a good skincare and base makeup routine, this might not be essential. Considering its effects and price, I'd have to think twice about repurchasing.

  Pros

  First, I apply this to areas like the sides of my nose or forehead before makeup and use cushion foundation. The difference between using and not using this primer is huge! After using the primer, the cushion doesn't settle into pores and provides natural-looking coverage. It's moisturizing and absorbs well, so you don't need to use a separate emulsion or cream before makeup. The scent is universally appealing. Personally, I absolutely love the fragrance!

  Cons

  As I used the product, I noticed that the primer essence(?) and oil started to separate, which was a bit disappointing. Also, since the Prime Primer Hydrating is focused on hydration, it doesn't completely smooth out pores.

  Tip

  I think this is an excellent primer when used with a matte cushion foundation! It would be great for those with dry skin types. For those looking for flawless pore coverage, I recommend trying the Banila Co Prime Primer Classic instead.

  It helps smooth out flaky dead skin cells before applying makeup. The fragrance is a subtle, delicate floral scent.

  Unfortunately, it doesn't provide pore coverage. If you're looking for a product that can conceal enlarged pores and uneven texture, I highly recommend trying the Banila Co Primer Classic version!
