I didn't expect much hydration from a peeling serum, but it felt surprisingly plump and bouncy on my skin. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious. I applied small amounts gradually on my face, but it caused blemishes to appear. More importantly, despite being a peeling serum, I didn't feel like it effectively removed dead skin cells. Since it doesn't suit my skin for full-face use, I'll probably just use it occasionally on a cotton pad to gently exfoliate around my nose area when needed. - ks*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJul 18, 2022
My skin is combination dehydrated and prone to developing small blemishes if I use the wrong skincare products! After using this product for over a month, I noticed my skin texture improved significantly. Most importantly, thanks to its excellent ingredients, there was no irritation. It worked great for managing dead skin cells, and I saw an improvement in those pesky little bumps! The only downside was the slightly slippery finish. It's not exactly a lightweight formula, so the final feel on the skin left something to be desired. I only used it at night, so I didn't try applying makeup over it. Personally, I'd recommend using it primarily in your evening routine! If you have dry skin, you might want to layer on some extra hydration! - du*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 6, 2022
The water-like texture absorbs beautifully without any stickiness, which feels great on the skin. I didn't expect much due to its gentle nature, but wow! The next morning, my skin felt incredibly smooth and refined! Despite containing AHA, BHA, and PHA, I initially used it every other day only on oily areas. Surprisingly, I can now use it daily without any irritation. I received this as part of a Hwahae event, and I'm definitely planning to purchase it once I run out. I'm not sure what to say about downsides - there aren't really any! Just keep in mind that the effects aren't dramatically instant. For even clearer skin, try using this every other day and applying a vitamin serum on the off days! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 29, 2022
The fluid-like texture made it easy to apply. It absorbs well and provides a nice boost of hydration. When used with a moisturizer before makeup, it really helps the makeup adhere beautifully! It also seems to calm the skin quickly. Even after absorption, there's excess moisture on the surface that mixes with oils over time, making it difficult to use alone. This caused my bangs to become greasy. Also, it really stings when applied to skin blemishes. After applying the ampoule and letting it fully absorb, I follow up with a matte sunscreen or brightening moisturizer! Then I finish with powder. Alternatively, I sometimes wipe it off with a cleansing wipe. - ce*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 24, 2022
Effective sebum control: Even after using a cleansing foam known for sebum care, this product eliminates any remaining sebum instantly! Just 1-2 drops are enough to cover the entire face, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the sebum disappears on contact. This feature alone makes it worth buying. Effective with small amounts: It truly works with minimal product! It's not meant to be applied thickly, and its water-like texture allows for a thin, even application over a wide area. Not recommended for dry skin: As someone with oily skin, I didn't have any issues using it. However, those with dry skin might find it quite drying. Of course, if you apply a cream afterwards, it might help to some extent, but it's fair to say this product offers no moisturizing benefits whatsoever. Here's something worth noting, though it's not exactly a pro tip: One day, I accidentally applied more than usual. Then I put on an emulsion (Aestura Atobarrier Emulsion), and it was as if a chemical reaction occurred - the emulsion started to clump and solidify on my face! I had to wash it all off, reapply with the correct amount, and finish my routine. I'm not sure if this happens with other emulsions... Anyway, don't get greedy - just use a moderate amount. - ha********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 18, 2022
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers:) First off, I have combination dehydrated skin with lots of texture. I've been neglecting my skin texture issues, thinking it'd be a waste to visit a dermatologist. But wow... The morning after I applied this product, I couldn't believe it was my skin! It was so smooth. My skin, which I had damaged with harsh exfoliators... This serum restored it. Oh, and it was great for blemishes too! There weren't any... Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. There are no downsides. Please offer a discount, I'll buy it! It works even better when used with a toner containing BHA. Good stuff! - al*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 11, 2022
Texture and Feel: The formula is lightweight with a consistency slightly thicker than water. As someone with oily skin, I need a very light serum in summer, and this one fits the bill perfectly! However, I'd recommend applying it lightly in one layer. When I use it before bed, I wake up with plump, bouncy skin which I love! While it's great for oily skin types due to its lightness, those with dry skin might find it lacking in hydration. Packaging: I'm quite impressed with the packaging. Despite being glass, it's surprisingly lightweight, making it perfect for travel without adding extra bulk! I have oily and extremely sensitive skin, so I usually need very gentle products to avoid breakouts. Unfortunately, when I applied multiple layers of this serum, I noticed some small blemishes appearing. I'll need to adjust the amount I use. If you have sensitive skin like mine, I'd recommend applying just a thin, single layer to be safe. Pro tip: Store it in the refrigerator for a refreshing application. Using it cool, especially in summer, provides a nice cooling effect on the face. - wo*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2022
I really feel like it's removing dead skin cells. I was a bit surprised that my makeup didn't look patchy the next day. It felt similar to the exfoliating treatment you'd get at a dermatologist's office. I'd definitely repurchase when I run out - it seems pretty good. The texture is initially watery, but when you spread it, it transforms into a slightly sticky consistency. Oh, and it's fragrance-free! It stings quite a bit on areas where I have some blemishes. The tingling sensation only disappears when my skin is in good condition. - js*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2022
The best thing was how gentle it felt on my sensitive skin, causing no blemishes. When I apply it at night and sleep, the next morning after washing my face, my makeup seems to go on more smoothly. However, I wish the volume was a bit larger. It has no scent at all, but I'd prefer if it had a subtle fragrance. If you have an important event, apply it the night before, sleep, and then wash your face the next day. Your makeup will go on beautifully afterwards. - ch******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 9, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Effective exfoliation: I wasn't sure if it was working properly due to the lack of irritation, but I've noticed that the whiteheads on my chin, which always appeared when wearing makeup under a mask for long periods, are no longer visible! Since this serum is the only recent change in my routine, I believe it's quite effective. Hydration: Although it's a serum and claimed to provide moisture, when I used this alone instead of hyaluronic acid and followed with an emulsion, my skin felt dry. While hydration isn't its main purpose, it's a bit disappointing that I need to use an emulsion plus something extra for adequate moisture. After cleansing, I apply toner 2-3 times to prep my skin, then use this serum, followed by an ampoule and emulsion!
