Pros
I've been using this for about three months now, and it's wonderfully hydrating. It really evens out my skin texture and doesn't cause any irritation.

Pros
This was my first time trying this brand, but I've been hearing so much buzz about it that I just had to give it a try. Being a fermented formula that can also be used as a first essence, my expectations were high. It definitely delivers on improving skin texture, and I love how it keeps my skin feeling hydrated!
Cons
It seems like even though different brands use fermented ingredients with the same name, there are slight differences between them. I think what's really important is finding the fermented formula that works best for your skin.

Love it! The texture is so watery, perfect for layering. I really felt like my skin texture improved. I'm 100% going to repurchase!

To cut to the chase, I absolutely love it and will definitely repurchase. I used it as the first step in my skincare routine, patting it in, and found that it absorbs exceptionally well. True to its essence toner nature, applying 2-3 layers leaves your skin somewhere between dewy and bouncy. It really boosts hydration levels. While its water-like consistency means it could work as an exfoliating toner, the 'essence toner' label suggests it's best used with the pat-and-press method. I've been layering it 2-3 times and patting it in for over a week, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my complexion. It really works hard to enhance your skin condition overnight!

This is a high-quality first essence reminiscent of the popular style from before, but with added peptide complex. As a skin essence used right after cleansing, it's great for refining skin texture like an exfoliating toner and absorbs well. With rose water and peptide ingredients, it's perfect for dry skin or summer soothing - you can even use it as a mask by soaking cotton pads and laying them on your face.
Cons
There's not really anything to complain about. However, since peptide ingredients tend to be pricey, at over $20 for 150ml, it might not be as cost-effective to use liberally as an exfoliating toner. As a first essence type, it may lose some of its appeal price-wise.
Tip
The refreshing formula is great for decanting into a fine mist bottle to carry around and use during hot summer days.

Pros
As the weather gets hotter, even those with oily skin can feel dry due to fans and air conditioning. This product's biggest advantage seems to be its quick absorption without leaving any dryness, while also refining skin texture. I dislike sticky, oily products that sit on top of the skin, but this water-like formula absorbs quickly and leaves a moisturized finish. I've been using it twice daily, morning and night, since receiving it. For areas needing extra care, I've been applying it generously with a cotton pad as a skin pack. Personally, even if I don't touch them, about 70% of my blemishes or wounds tend to leave scars. I got another one after my period... So I used this along with vitamin C powder and brightening ampoules. Whether it's the synergy or not, I'm satisfied as the scars seem to have faded a bit. It's been about 10 days since I received it on the 2nd, and honestly, it would be a lie to claim dramatic changes in such a short time. However, I believe consistent use will bring more benefits, so I'll use up this bottle and consider getting more!
Cons
If I had to mention something, maybe the volume? I wish there was a bit more product.
Tip
1. Apply to your palms and absorb into the entire face, then repeat to layer. 2. As it's a brightening and anti-wrinkle functional product, using it as a skin pack on problem areas of the face and neck allows for deep absorption. Biome Activate Essence This essence boasts both anti-wrinkle and brightening properties! It manages the oil and moisture balance, leaving your skin clear and translucent. It improves dull complexion and smooths out skin texture. The essence soothes and protects your skin from external environmental stressors and irritants. With a thinner consistency than typical essences, it can double as a toner - in fact, it's recommended to use as the first step in your skincare routine. The water-like texture absorbs instantly after application, which is fantastic. I've used it both as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad and by patting it directly into my skin with my hands. Either way, it seemed to alleviate some of my deep dryness. While it initially helped with my dehydrated skin, I oddly felt a slight tingling sensation. It subsided after a while, but the initial irritation made me hesitant about future use. On subsequent applications, the tingling was barely noticeable. Even after completing my entire skincare routine, I was pleased to find it effectively addressed my deep dryness.
Cons
There was a slight tingling sensation when I first used it. Those with super sensitive skin might need to be cautious.
Tip

1. It's the best as an exfoliating toner! Instead of applying essence directly with my hands, I always use an exfoliating toner for products like this. I was amazed at how well this Biome Activate Essence removes dead skin cells and evens out skin texture! 2. It's so hygienic! The dispenser is designed to control the amount, releasing just one drop at a time. Plus, there's an extra seal under the cap that covers the opening, making it super sanitary.
Cons
1. It doesn't provide that intense hydration or moisturizing effect you might expect. While it's perfect for prepping your skin before makeup, it's probably not the best choice for a nighttime routine essence when you need deep hydration.
