Biome Activate. It was an unfamiliar brand, but upon research, I discovered it was launched by the former CEO of Mi*, a company that once led the trend in roadshop cosmetics. Attracted by its affordable price and rich ingredients, I decided to try the essence. *Usage period March 20, 2025 - May 2, 2025 (current) *Texture Though called an essence, it's more of a treatment-type toner. Almost no viscosity is felt. *Color and Scent Transparent, colorless, and odorless. *How to use After cleansing, as the first step, apply with a cotton pad or with hands. Personally, I gently patted it into my skin with my palms, as I sometimes feel irritation from cotton pads. *Application and absorption Despite its colorless and odorless formulation, which might suggest it only provides momentary hydration, you'll find it surpasses expectations when applied. It's moisturizing without being sticky, and the hydration lasts long without feeling heavy. *Overall review I've used about 70% of the product and plan to repurchase. Both the ingredients and price are truly reasonable. Checking the full ingredient list, you'll find Bifida Ferment Lysate, Damask Rose Flower Water, Butylene Glycol, and Niacinamide at the top. It's effective for hydration and brightening. Consistent use seems beneficial. It suits my skin well, so I don't have any complaints. However, for those concerned about dryness, there are products with stronger moisturizing ingredients than this one. I'd recommend a cream essence for such cases. I've been using this for about three months now, and it's wonderfully hydrating. It really evens out my skin texture and doesn't cause any irritation. There wasn't anything particularly bad about it. It just feels clean, you know? And I didn't experience any blemishes.

Being a fermented formula that can also be used as a first essence, my expectations were high. It definitely delivers on improving skin texture, and I love how it keeps my skin feeling hydrated! It seems like even though different brands use fermented ingredients with the same name, there are slight differences between them. Although it's an essence, it's as thin as water, so I'm using it as a toner to wipe my face. Using it this way definitely leaves my skin more hydrated. It's also affordable, so I'm planning to stick with this as my go-to toner. For this price and these ingredients, there's nothing to complain about. Patting it on with your hands works better than using cotton pads. I think it's because it's an essence. It's fragrance-free and has a runny texture, making it easy to apply and quick to absorb. The price is unbeatable! That's its best feature. I don't really have any complaints. I'm just writing this because I have to mention a downside, haha! When my skin needs extra hydration, I soak half a cotton pad generously and apply it - it really makes my skin feel firm and supple. I also recommend transferring some to a mist bottle and keeping it in the fridge. It's super convenient and helps cool down your skin. I bought this clear essence thinking they're all similar and it was cheap, but I'm pleasantly surprised. The ingredients are clean and good, and it suits my skin well. Since it's a clear, transparent formula, you need to be careful with the amount when opening the cap and using it, or it might spill. The scent isn't overpowering, and it's not sticky, so it's a hassle-free addition to your skincare routine. It's not just a watery toner either. Given its affordable price, I like to dispense a generous amount and apply it with my hands. If you have sensitive skin, try using it without a cotton pad. I think I understand the target audience for this product. If galactomyces works well for you, give this a try! Affordable price, non-sticky, and really great - there's nothing not to like! The only downside is that since it's available online, you can't test it directly before purchasing. That's a bit disappointing. It's more of a 'order based on intuition and hope it works out' situation. They seem to have small sales every month. It absorbs well without feeling like it's sitting on top of the skin. I also like that the scent isn't too strong. I'm not sure about its essence-like properties... I'm using it as a toner.
