I used up the entire bottle and it feels gentle and suitable for my dry skin. I didn't get an amazing impression from it... I feel like I need to use it more to really know. - te****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMay 22, 2024
It's gentle and works well for my sensitive, blemish-prone skin. I love how mild it is! The price is a bit steep, and while the packaging looks luxurious, it's quite heavy! Got it during a duty-free shopping spree! - se*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 27, 2024
The ingredients seem gentle. I've been using this line daily, and it's been maintaining my skin condition well without causing any major blemishes. It's not exactly budget-friendly, so I feel it's a bit wasteful to use as an exfoliating toner with cotton pads. Instead, I apply it with my hands. While it's quite hydrating, the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long. - yu******Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMar 5, 2024
* Light hydration boost The fluid texture makes it perfect for applying lightly as the first skincare step. Although the formula is lightweight, it provides good hydration, and even layering it two or three times absorbs quickly, which is convenient. * Soothing effect I don't store it in a cool place, but it gives a refreshing sensation when applied. It's great for calming irritated skin after cleansing. * Fragrance The scent is stronger compared to other brands. It's intense but not artificial - a herbal scent that lifts my mood every time I apply it. I'm satisfied with the luxurious feel of the color, fragrance, texture, and packaging. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the price is quite high for the amount you get. It's a bit expensive to use as a regular part of my routine. - cu*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 14, 2023
I love how it leaves my skin texture clean and refined while maintaining hydration. It preps the skin perfectly for the next essence step, allowing better absorption. I'm really satisfied with this exfoliating toner. The price is a bit on the higher side. While the glass bottle is heavy, it's great for product preservation, so I can't complain. Don't use it wastefully. I apply it with Silcot cotton pads for efficient application. - so*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 13, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's aqueous, yet not quite water-like, if that makes sense? Perhaps that's why, unlike other toners, it seems to lock in hydration better. When my skin feels dry and tight, I soak a cotton pad generously and use it as a mask - it quickly restores moisture. I've used it almost daily for two weeks, including as a mask, and there's still plenty left. The bottle is quite generous in size. As someone with very oily skin, I usually stick to lightweight formulas in summer, but the fact that Yeonchak can be used year-round is a big win for oily skin types! Of course, the gentle ingredients and superior moisturizing power compared to other toners I've used are also great benefits. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. The scent is only noticeable during application and dissipates quickly, which is fine. As someone with extremely oily skin who usually feels greasy and suffocated after applying products, I think if I had used this in the height of summer, this toner alone with a light hydrating gel would have been sufficient. Even my mom, who has dry skin, found the toner itself quite moisturizing and gentle (though she still uses emulsions, creams, and oils due to her very dry skin). It seems to be suitable for all skin types in just the right way. - th*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 13, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's not heavy at all! It was amazing to use as a cold skin pack by keeping it in the fridge and applying it when my skin felt hot or right after a bath. It absorbs well into the skin too. There's no stickiness, and it feels refreshing! The fact that it didn't cause any blemishes on my sensitive skin shows that the ingredients are good. I'm so happy to have found a toner that hydrates without causing irritation! The scent is like herbal medicine. It might be divisive, but I absolutely love it! The scent is similar to herbal medicine? That might be a point of contention for some people. My favorite way to use it was keeping it in the fridge and then using it as a cool skin pack to reduce skin heat. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Even a slight imbalance can cause breakouts, but this calming toner works well for my sensitive skin. It also controls oil, making it easy to apply the next skincare steps. After cleansing, it maintains moisture. Especially since it's a product that's clinically proven for instant soothing, it has a cooling effect that feels refreshing and hydrating. Even after applying moisturizer a few minutes later, my skin doesn't feel dry, which is great. Containing PHA, it gives a sense of refining the skin. It's perfect for exfoliation during seasonal changes, especially with the current extreme temperature fluctuations. I'm using it at just the right time. I thought the amount might be small for the price, but it's actually more than expected. Using it morning and evening after cleansing, I think it'll last about 3 months in my case. The scent might be divisive. As soon as I smelled it, it reminded me of ink grinding... It's similar to an ink or wood scent. I personally like it, but others might not. The price is admittedly quite high. While I mentioned it's perfect for seasonal transitions, I think it would be great to use all year round. In spring and fall, it helps with dead skin cells, in summer it controls oil, and in winter it helps with dryness. It's a versatile toner for all seasons. - sk******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

That's when I truly appreciated this toner's hydrating power. With regular use, it refines skin texture and brightens the complexion. ✔️Luxurious packaging: Befitting its price point, the opaque glass bottle with a simple design blends seamlessly with any decor. ✔️Versatile toner: Unlike most toners that are either exfoliating or thick and slimy, this one has a perfect consistency. You can use it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad or simply pat it into your skin with your hands for excellent absorption. ✔️Polarizing scent: I personally enjoy the herbal medicinal scent, which I feel represents the toner's natural identity without artificial additives. However, some people might not like it. It smells like the expensive, traditionally brewed herbal toners sold in Oriental medicine clinics. ✔️Gradual results: You won't see a 'wow' effect after just one application. However, with prolonged use, you'll feel it strengthening your skin barrier from within. I highly recommend using it consistently for best results. ✔️When layered and gently patted into the skin multiple times, it gives the impression of brightening your complexion by a shade. It also helps subsequent skincare products absorb better. - ek*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 12, 2022Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

However, the large size of the paper packaging initially gave an impression of over-packaging compared to the product size (seemed like the company's own packaging). Product Appearance - Very sleek and luxurious. The box has detailed information, but the bottle itself only displays the toner's name. The matte glass doesn't show fingerprints. My Skin Condition: Excess sebum production, dehydrated, acne-prone, blackheads, acne scars, sensitive skin (especially between eyebrows). Scent: There's a hint of herbal fragrance, but it's not off-putting. It's subtle, giving a sense of using a healthy toner. Usage Experience: Previously, heavy products worsened my oily skin, so I used to finish my routine with a watery toner (3 layers) and serum. This often left the sensitive area between my brows very dry, especially with air conditioning. This product, while watery, has a slightly more viscous texture than pure water. It's much more hydrating than typical watery toners and significantly reduced dryness. It helped alleviate my usual deep dryness and tiny bumps between eyebrows. However, I couldn't determine if it had a soothing effect on its own or if it was just due to the hydration. If it's the latter, other products might work similarly. The main advantage is its hydrating power despite being a watery toner! This also seemed to slow down oil production. The biggest drawback I noticed was that it leaks when stored horizontally (which I often do due to lack of space), no matter how tightly I close the cap. When I took it to my grandmother's for an overnight stay, knowing it might leak, I wrapped it in tissue. The tissue was slightly damp when I arrived. The brown liquid makes leaks easy to spot. Another point is the high price. While it may be justified by the quality ingredients, it's quite expensive for most students. The herbal scent lingers on hands after application. I always wash my hands after applying emulsions, so it's not an issue for me. The scent isn't strong, and some might like it, but those who dislike herbal fragrances might find it off-putting. For those like me who find heavy ingredients (especially shea butter or richer creams) incompatible or oil-inducing, try layering this toner 2-3 times for ample hydration!
