  I bought this 'idol primer' because it's said to be a heavy-duty primer that doesn't require touch-ups even with a packed schedule. I can confirm it lasts over 18 hours! I applied makeup in the afternoon, went out drinking all night, and fell asleep without removing it. The next morning, my eye makeup was still intact in the mirror. Now I feel uneasy without it and always apply it before doing my makeup.

  Since it's designed to be resistant to water, oil, etc., when you apply eyeshadow over this primer, it suddenly creates creases where there weren't any before. It seems to be due to how drying it is.

  Tip

  I think it's best to apply it as close to the lash line as possible. While it's supposed to keep eyeshadow from fading too, I found it too drying and it created wrinkles(?), which I didn't like. If you apply it close to the lash line without touching it, it works great at preventing smudging. It was especially effective at keeping the outer corners of my eyes from smudging!

  I usually experience a lot of smudging around the outer corners of my eyes, so I only use a small amount there. It definitely smudges less and has longer-lasting power. While the volume isn't huge, I use such a tiny amount that I think it'll last a long time.

  Cons

  It doesn't completely prevent smudging - it just smudges less than usual. The effect wasn't dramatically different. Normally, my eyeliner would smudge within an hour or two, but with this, it lasts about 3-4 hours. Still, it's better than not using anything, so I always use it.

  Tip

  Applying more doesn't make it set better. If you apply too much, it actually clumps and gets cakey. You absolutely must apply a small amount and focus on precise application rather than quantity for less smudging.
