It's fantastic! I was worried about pilling, but when I pat it on the back of my hand, there's no pilling at all. Instead, it smooths out the eyelids and the color shows up beautifully. I highly recommend it! Among the colorless primers I've tried, this one is the best! However, it doesn't cover discoloration on the eyelids, so for those with dark circles, I'd recommend a tinted primer. - tl*******Dry SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 31, 2025
The reformulation is great - it doesn't set immediately and doesn't clump up white! The long-lasting effect is still amazing as ever. There's nothing to complain about... I just wish it could always be a part of my routine. Apply it to one eyelid at a time, quickly spreading and absorbing it (if you apply to both sides at once, one side will set too fast). Gently pat it in for best results. - os*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 26, 2025
Urban Decay's Eye Primer has garnered a lot of attention with claims like: - Maintains your morning makeup look - Boosts eyeshadow color payoff - Prevents creasing - Ensures smudge-free eye makeup But did I experience the same results? In cool weather: 90% lasting power In hot weather: 70-80% lasting power Given my eye shape and skin type, I'm prone to eye makeup smudging. When I applied the primer to just one eye, the difference was clear. The eye without primer looked messy underneath, while the primed eye stayed relatively neat. Its small, lightweight size makes it perfect for popping into your makeup bag - ideal for travel! As someone with oily skin who's particular about longevity, I definitely felt my makeup lasted longer. While it doesn't keep your morning look intact all day, the before-and-after difference is significant enough that I'm satisfied. However, the small amount you get for the price might be a concern for those focused on value for money. Overall recommendation: ✔ For those worried about eye makeup staying power ✔ For those who dislike touch-ups ✔ For those wanting bulletproof makeup in hot weather This product is a great choice. Product details: Volume: 10ml Regular price: 35,000 won Olive Young discounted price: 28,000 won Honestly, it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. But if it performs well, it could be worth the investment. Pro tips: 1. Dot the built-in applicator on your nail, not the back of your hand. It can dry out and be hard to clean off your hand. 2. Use sparingly! Too much can cause your base makeup to pill. A quarter of a pea-sized amount is plenty. 3. Apply carefully, avoiding your lashes. Pay extra attention to the outer corners - that's where makeup tends to break down first. After testing various methods, I found this order gave the best longevity: Base makeup → Eye primer → Makeup fixer → Powder Applying the primer right after your base makeup gave the best adhesion and lasting power. - df*********Dry SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 13, 2025
I was hesitant about buying an eye primer, but in the end I decided to go with the most well-known product. I was always concerned that the eyeshadow would quickly fade or get stuck in the crease, but using this product has definitely improved the color payoff and adhesion, and there's no creasing. I've tried primers from other supposedly popular brands like Missha, VDL, Etude, and Zabian Seoul, but I still think Urban Decay is the best. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is definitely worth it. I'd recommend this to anyone who's been hesitant about trying it. The original price is 2.8 for 10ml, and even with the discount, it's still 2.2, which is honestly too expensive. You don't need to apply too much. Just take a small amount on your finger, rub it between your two fingers, and then gently pat it onto both eyes. Even a very small amount will provide sufficient primer effect. - ah******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 27, 2025
▶ Why I bought it: I have oily eyelids, so I always struggled with panda eyes when wearing eye makeup. It was stressful having my eyeliner and eyeshadow smudge every day, but this product really solved that problem. ▶ Application: It has a light, soft texture that spreads thinly around the eyes and sets immediately without any stickiness. It absorbs well, making it easy for beginners to use. ▶ Effects: Eyeshadow and eyeliner stay put all day without creasing or smudging. Even when oil surfaces, the makeup doesn't pill or smear, allowing for a clean eye look all day without touch-ups. ▶ Travel-friendly advantages: The small, lightweight travel size fits perfectly in my makeup bag, ideal for both travel and daily use. For reference, my complexion is cool-toned and I usually use shade 15 or 17. There wasn't really anything bad. Perhaps the limited availability in physical stores? - du*******Dry SkinRecommendedApr 26, 2025
The effects are so-so...! It absorbs well! But I'm not sure if there are any dramatic results. Considering the effects, it's a bit pricey, so I don't think I'll repurchase it. - fr********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedFeb 28, 2025
The staying power of this eyeshadow is top-notch! While the color payoff isn't dramatically different since I prefer applying thin layers, the longevity is truly impressive. Pro tip: Use a magic sealer, and your eye makeup, including eyeliner, will stay perfect all day long. It's especially fantastic in summer. I bought this when I noticed my eyeshadow was fading too quickly, and it's been a game-changer! As someone with dry skin, I find that it occasionally makes my eyes feel excessively dry. It's like the entire eye area becomes parched... - vk***Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 16, 2025
It locks in eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara all at once Nothing really, except the price is a bit wicked. Sometimes if your eyeliner smudges, it'll set that smudged eye makeup in place too - ca*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 20, 2024
I tried an eye primer for the first time, and it's truly a game-changer! I have oily eyelids and dry eyes, which makes me blink a lot. Because of this, my under-eye area usually turns into a panda look after a short while. But after using this, that problem completely disappeared - it's amazing! I honestly can't imagine doing my makeup without an eye primer now. It works so hard for my eyes! Sometimes when I rush through my base makeup or don't control the amount well, it pills terribly and becomes unfixable. The eye area is thin and has many fine lines, so it seems you need to let it absorb sufficiently and apply it very thinly with light tapping motions. Also, as you're letting it absorb, it can feel a bit sticky at first and might cause a tingling sensation around the eyes. I think it's best to spread it very gently and avoid patting it in! Apply a small amount to the back of your hand, warm it up with your finger, and then apply very thinly in small amounts! - ek****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 3, 2024
It enhances the color payoff and adherence of eyeshadows, which is great for boosting the performance of pretty eyeshadow pencils that might lack staying power. It really helps improve both pigmentation and longevity. After applying and rubbing it in to absorb, the areas where foundation was applied (the made-up parts) become noticeable... It creates a clumping effect. The same goes for eyeshadow - unless you spread it very thinly, it tends to clump up.
