The eye area is thin and has many fine lines, so it seems you need to let it absorb sufficiently and apply it very thinly with light tapping motions. Also, as you're letting it absorb, it can feel a bit sticky at first and might cause a tingling sensation around the eyes. I think it's best to spread it very gently and avoid patting it in!

I think it's best to apply it as close to the lash line as possible. While it's supposed to keep eyeshadow from fading too, I found it too drying and it created wrinkles(?), which I didn't like. If you apply it close to the lash line without touching it, it works great at preventing smudging. It was especially effective at keeping the outer corners of my eyes from smudging!

Since it's designed to be resistant to water, oil, etc., when you apply eyeshadow over this primer, it suddenly creates creases where there weren't any before. It seems to be due to how drying it is.

I bought this 'idol primer' because it's said to be a heavy-duty primer that doesn't require touch-ups even with a packed schedule. I can confirm it lasts over 18 hours! I applied makeup in the afternoon, went out drinking all night, and fell asleep without removing it. The next morning, my eye makeup was still intact in the mirror. Now I feel uneasy without it and always apply it before doing my makeup.
