My skin was getting those tiny bumps due to the seasonal dryness, but the moisturizing ingredients in this really calmed things down! It's not too heavy either, so it's perfect for regular use. There's nothing particularly uncomfortable about it. I like to layer it on a few times, which means I go through it quickly - that's the only downside. The product seems to be effective for combating dryness and irritation during seasonal changes. Its lightweight formula allows for easy layering without feeling heavy on the skin. While the user appreciates its performance, they find themselves using it up faster than they'd like due to their preferred application method. - sl******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsMar 4, 2025
I bought the Ectoin Cica Essence Toner because I heard it was great for hydration and soothing. However, I couldn't really notice either effect. As it's a toner, it's not sticky, but personally, the scent was... well, quite bothersome. It had an unpleasant fragrance that made me reluctant to apply it. I stopped using it as it seemed to cause a few blemishes. It seems to cause a few small bumps, and I wouldn't recommend it mainly because the scent is really strange. I had to wash my hands after applying it. It's a shame because it seems to have many good ingredients. Those who respond well to centella asiatica might want to take a closer look at this product. - gl********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 12, 2025
As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm thrilled that this toner didn't cause any blemishes! It's gentle yet effective at eliminating deep dryness after showering, making it a great product. It absorbs well without leaving an oily residue, giving a fresh feeling that makes me reach for it often. Since it's fragrance-free, even those sensitive to scents can use it comfortably. I thought the amount would be small, but it's surprisingly generous for both morning and evening use. I don't have any particular complaints. Of course, using this alone will leave your skin dry, so you'll need to layer with other products. - ku****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 7, 2024
It's not super watery, but after applying, you feel a wonderfully hydrated sensation! Nothing particularly bad, but if you're expecting a completely water-like texture, you might be disappointed - yh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 19, 2024
It absorbs well and quickly. Being an essence toner, it has a somewhat viscous texture. There's a feeling that something is missing. The hydration power is a bit lacking. - cc*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 9, 2024
The biggest advantage of this product seems to be its balance. I used it as a 2-skin, 3-skin method, and even though it's a slightly thin liquid, it didn't feel sticky when layered multiple times. It felt like it perfectly balanced the oil and moisture in my skin. I've been using it from spring until this morning, and I've never had any blemishes with this product. It also paired well with other products. Given my age, I like using functional products, and I've been consistently using this followed by vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night without any irritation. Perhaps it's because it doesn't contain exfoliating ingredients but has soothing cica, and its pH is 5.5! I read somewhere that slightly acidic skin is good before using vitamin C, and this product is perfect for that! I'll definitely repurchase it, and I hope more people discover it. Please don't discontinue it. Oh, and for reference, my sister with normal skin used it too, and when she's lazy, she just applies this alone. She says it's not drying (I'm envious). Also, it's fragrance-free. It has a white toner texture that feels like watered-down milk. There are no downsides. I've been buying it through the Sidmool app for years, so maybe just the product accessibility is a bit limited? I used it before applying functional products and it worked well. Still, everyone should check the ingredients and aim for that glowing skin! - aj*******Dry SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 26, 2024
It's fantastic at tackling my deep dryness. I'll definitely keep buying this! Nothing really bad to say. Though, I guess it would be nice if it came in a mist form too... just a thought! - ch**********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 9, 2024
I love it! It's gentle and effectively combats deep dryness. The soothing effect is outstanding. While there's nothing particularly disappointing, it might feel a bit heavy for those with extremely oily skin. - al*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 25, 2024
I switched from using Clinique's pink viscous essence toner to this as a more affordable alternative. It's thinner than I expected, but true to its name as an essence toner, it's incredibly hydrating. It reminds me of that milky toner on my mom's vanity from back in the day! The finish isn't quite as satisfying as Clinique's, probably because it's thinner. And while it's moisturizing, I wouldn't say it's amazing - just decent? (To be fair, that goes for Clinique too...) Don't expect too much from the 'essence' part of the name - you'll still want to use a separate serum. I apply it by layering with my hands, following my skin's texture. I think those with dry skin will be especially satisfied with this product. - al********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 22, 2024
It feels like I'm slathering on yogurt! The hydration absorbs well, leaving my skin feeling plump and moisturized. While the effects aren't dramatically noticeable, it's not a bad product overall.
