Since the product doesn't get on your hands, it's great to keep by your bedside and apply before bed, and it's also convenient when rushing out in the morning. (However, after applying, it gives an extremely glossy finish, shimmering!) When you open the lid, a refreshing lemon/citron scent from the citrus family comes out, and it's a subtle, pleasant fragrance. If you have oily skin, it's probably best to apply it mainly on areas with freckles or concerns.
ConsIt's convenient to apply smoothly, but I don't get the feeling that it absorbs very well. It feels like a coating on the skin..! Although it's said to be usable both morning and evening, it's not suitable to apply before makeup. The foundation doesn't get absorbed and gets pushed around ㅠㅠ And the amount doesn't seem to be enough to cover the entire face~
TipIf you gently rub it with the warmth of your hands after applying, it feels like the absorption gets a bit better ㅎㅎ

The Vitamin C ampoule was sensitive to UV rays, so it had to be used at night, but this new Vitamin C Ampoule Balm stick can be used day and night without any issues. The white outer part of the stick is for elasticity!! The yellow center part is for blemishes!! As with any effort, the effects will show if you use it consistently!! The Vitamin C ampoule is my personal favorite among Vitamin C products, and I think the Ampoule Balm is the winner, as it has improved convenience and moisture (elasticity)!!!
ConsSince it's a nighttime product, the stickiness or coating film on the surface is more noticeable than the absorption, which makes it uncomfortable.

Most importantly, the epitome of laziness is the hassle of twisting the cap, pressing, and spreading it on the face, which is too much effort. But this product's ease of use and application method are very pleasing. The user is someone who finds rich products difficult, but the smooth application after skincare is very satisfying. The fragrance is light and not overbearing, just right for care purposes. The repurchase intention is around 60%.
ConsIf I had to point out any shortcomings, it would be that the absorption is not very noticeable, and it feels like a thin application, with some pilling when used with a face pack. Before being selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer, I had read other reviews that mentioned some pore clogging, but I didn't experience any discomfort from that (although I don't use it at night anymore). The lack of a separate cap means that dust tends to stick to the surface. The amount is a bit on the smaller side, so it can be a bit inconvenient to use, despite the convenience.
TipIf the application feels sticky, be sure to use it after toner and serum care. It feels similar to a * stick product, so after makeup, if there's any puffiness, I gently rub it with the stick and then do touch-up makeup. When it's too dry, it can feel a bit lifted, but now it absorbs well.

It feels lightweight on the skin without any sticky or heavy residue after application. As you can see from the comparison photos between day 1 and day 7, the redness has noticeably subsided.
ConsThe scent is a bit disappointing. While it has a refreshing lemon fragrance when the cap is opened, the metallic smell lingers after applying and wearing a mask. This was the scent I was experiencing. Without a mask, there is no noticeable smell, but the odor was bothersome when going out, so I only applied it in the evenings, excluding the first 1-2 days. The spreadability is good, but it doesn't absorb well. Even after several hours, it remains on the face like a thick ointment. While it doesn't leave a sticky or heavy feeling right after application, if I forget I've applied it and touch my face, the product rubs off. I'll have to use it more to see the effects on blemishes and freckles.
TipIf you only twist out a small amount, the plastic part can touch your face. It's better to twist out a slightly larger amount. And for those who find the spreadability a bit thick, rolling it on after applying a skin or toner can help it spread more smoothly.

Since it contains vitamin C, I only used it in the evenings. After cleansing, I would apply a soothing serum and then the stick balm under my eyes and around the laugh lines. This allowed me to effectively manage dark spots and firmness without any tightness.
ConsIt doesn't absorb quickly, so you have to pat it in, which can be inconvenient in the busy mornings. I only used it in the evenings to avoid any makeup clumping.

(This is not unique to this product, as I've experienced similar effects with other vitamin-based products. Many people report seeing their complexion brighten the next day.) Sure enough, when I woke up the next day, my face did appear brighter and more radiant, as if I had gotten a good night's sleep. I really enjoyed this "well-rested" glow. As I mentioned, I had been using the Missha Vita C Ampoule, and the stick balm seemed to have a similar next-day brightening effect. However, the difference was in the skin texture. The ampoule helped to smooth and soften my skin immediately, while the stick balm didn't have that same immediate effect on my skin texture, only the brightening benefit. This is just a point of comparison, as the products are quite different. In conclusion, while I didn't see any significant improvements in my pigmentation or blemishes, the balm did give my complexion a lovely, radiant glow the next day. This was a satisfying outcome for me.
ConsI understand the reason you gave the product a 3-star rating. The key points were: ☁️ The slightly tacky application ☁️ The slower absorption ☁️ The lack of significant effects on pigmentation and blemishes, despite the product claims These factors made you feel the product didn't fully meet your expectations, hence the 3-star rating. An additional issue you noted was that the stick balm applied more smoothly when used over moisturizing products, but tended to feel overly thick and tacky when layered with richer, more emollient creams. This suggests the stick balm works best when applied over hydrating base products, rather than heavier, more occlusive creams. Using it with moisturizing formulas seems to provide the optimal application and finish. Your feedback is helpful in understanding the nuances of how this product performs and what types of skincare it pairs best with. Appreciate you taking the time to provide this detailed review.

It saves the hassle of having to get the skincare product on your hands when applying it. So, you can keep it by your bedside and just swipe it on before bed every night to complete your vitamin-based skincare routine, which is very convenient. - The scent is like a 'vitamin balm' - a fresh, natural fragrance. I personally love citrus and lemon scents, so I'm very satisfied using this, but those who dislike this type of fragrance may not like it. However, the scent is not overpowering, so it should be manageable for most people. - When applied to the face, it doesn't feel like it's seeping into the skin all over, but rather creates a barrier on the skin. I've included before and after photos to show the texture, but it may not be very visible in the photos. However, after application, there is a definite radiant glow. That's why I also apply this thickly on my lips, which gives a lip balm effect. For people who find it troublesome to pack various items when traveling, just carrying this one stick or, if you have dry skin, this stick and a lotion would be sufficient.
Cons- The texture is a bit disappointing. While it does create a barrier on the skin, protecting it from dust and bacteria, the fact that it doesn't fully absorb into the skin makes me wonder about its effectiveness. But since it's a Missha product, I assume they've made it well, so I continue using it. - The glossy, lip balm-like texture means it's not suitable for use as a base under makeup, as it could cause the makeup to slide off. - The amount seems a bit small. Someone like me who applies it generously all over the face may only be able to use it for about a month. - It's not too cold or dry yet, so I'm not sure, but as the weather gets a bit more dry, there's a possibility of it feeling a bit tightening on the skin.
Tip- As mentioned earlier, for people who find skincare routines troublesome, you can just keep this by your bedside and quickly swipe and pat it on before bed. - If you dislike packing a lot of products when traveling, you can just bring this stick and one other favorite product, significantly reducing your skincare load. - Since your lips also need vitamin replenishment, the balm-like texture means you can use this as a lip balm as well.

Ever since I won the Hwahae trial, this is the cosmetic I've been using the most diligently. First of all, the pigmentation and blemish care was the one I liked the most. Recently, I started using a white mask, and dark spots began to appear around my eyes. I used to apply a prescription-strength dark spot cream, but I had to use it only at night and the price range was a bit high, so there were some limitations. But with this product, I can just swipe it on anytime, day or night, and it's been great. While the results aren't dramatic, the dark spots do seem to have diminished a bit. I think it would be good to use it preventatively as well to stop any new spots from forming. It also helps improve skin tone and elasticity, so there's no reason not to use it. Since I have a rather dark complexion, I've been using functional products with whitening ingredients. And since I'm quite lazy sometimes, I even forget to apply lotion, but this is easy to apply and it takes care of the hydration too. The product name is Vita C, so the citrusy scent is quite refreshing. The scent is not overpowering, just a subtle, pleasant fragrance.
ConsBeing a stick-type balm product, it does feel a bit greasy and takes some time to absorb into the skin.

Glossy case I feel like my skin is shining and becoming crisp like the case. 2. Refreshing lemon scent As soon as I open the lid, a sharp, refreshing lemon scent comes out. Personally, I think it's similar to the Chupa Chups lemon candy scent. 3. Usage Since this is a stick type, it's easy to apply with a quick swipe.
Cons1. Lid It's a bit sticky, so it's difficult to open the lid after applying lotion. 2. It doesn't absorb quickly enough as I try to lock in the moisture. There's oil in it, so when you apply it, there's a pulling sensation at the boundary between the applied and unapplied areas. It's fine if you apply it after thoroughly doing your skincare routine, but if you just apply the skin and then the night cream, there's a pulling sensation. 3. I'm not sure about the effectiveness on blemishes and freckles.
TipI recommend applying it after your skin, lotion, and essence.

It used to be famous for being affordable with great value, but these days there are so many budget-friendly options that I didn't really know Missha's unique appeal. But this one is pretty good! First of all... 1) The biggest advantage is that it's a Vitamin C product that can be used day and night!! Normally, Vitamin C products are for nighttime use, but this one doesn't require that extra step, which is great. 2) The second thing is that it's easy to apply. It does seem like nighttime skincare products are the trend these days. It's convenient to apply and you can spread it evenly across the skin. 3) This is both an advantage and a disadvantage - it's very moisturizing. Your hair can get stuck to it...Haha. It's perfect for fall right now, but it might be a bit much for year-round use. It seems to have some oil content, not just pure hydration. (But it should be great for now and in the middle of winter) 4) The scent might be divisive, but I like it. It's a light, lemon-like fragrance that's not too strong.
Cons1) The moisturizing quality that I mentioned as both an advantage and disadvantage - for oily skin types, this might be more of a drawback than a benefit, as it feels more like an oil-based product rather than just hydration. 2) It doesn't apply in a thin, lightweight layer, so you have to really work it into the skin with your hands. Otherwise, it can feel like it's sitting on top and interfering with makeup. 3) The claim about seeing results in 3 days... I've been using it for a week, but I haven't noticed any dramatic effects yet. It seems like it will require more consistent, long-term use.
TipMake sure to really pat it in so it absorbs well!
