Honestly, the combined cost of all my skincare products doesn't even come close to the price of this serum! Without The Hwahae Testers, I wouldn't have had the chance to try such a high-end product, so my expectations were sky-high. Of course, high expectations often lead to disappointment (in this case, mainly due to the price not quite matching the performance). I didn't use the product for the full two weeks - more like 7-10 days, once a day. As someone who doesn't usually expect miracles from skincare (otherwise dermatologists would be out of business!), I didn't notice the dramatic effects the product claims. However, I did feel a slight improvement in skin texture and a bit more firmness. Let's be real - if a product showed major results after just a few days, it would be prescription-strength! During the testing period, I adjust my routine based on the product I'm testing. With this serum, I used it alongside my ceramide cream, focusing on my holy trinity of ingredients: hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and EGF. The subtle improvements I noticed were in texture and firmness, albeit very slight. I do think with continued use, I might see more satisfying results. However, the price point is just too high for me to consider purchasing it myself. In other words, the effects don't quite justify the cost. If I saw dramatic results, I'd consider using it until I reached my skin's peak condition (I usually switch up my skincare a couple times a year). But given the price-to-performance ratio, I have to conclude it's overpriced for what it does. Everyone's skin and opinions differ, of course. I'm grateful to the Hwahae team and the company for providing this product, and I'll enjoy the texture improvement and firmness while it lasts! To sum up: It's a product that offers very subtle improvements in skin texture and elasticity. If it weren't so expensive, I might have bought 2-3 bottles myself. Considering its effects, if I were pricing it, I'd say it's worth about 30,000-40,000 won, given the temporary satisfaction it provides.
ConsPersonally, I prefer unscented skincare products, so the fragrance was a bit off-putting for me. The initial application felt slightly sticky, which was a bit uncomfortable. The biggest drawback is that the price seems significantly inflated compared to its performance. If it were in the 30,000-40,000 won range, I might have splurged on a couple of bottles. I wish there was a 'neutral' or 'other' option for the recommendation question at the end of the survey. For those who are financially comfortable and used to high-end skincare, it might be worth trying once to see if it's worth repurchasing. For those on a tighter budget who don't usually splurge on expensive skincare, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. I'll choose 'yes' for the recommendation question, partly out of gratitude for the opportunity to try such an expensive product, and because I did notice some subtle effects despite my usual skepticism towards skincare claims.
TipThis isn't exactly a pro tip, but it's my personal opinion: Unless you have extremely oily skin, you probably need to use this serum alongside a hydrating serum and moisturizer. Even for oily skin, I believe a moisturizer is essential for oil-water balance - just with a different texture, of course.

Most serums come with droppers, but this packaging allows for super hygienic use - very clever! The difference in skin condition between days when I use this serum and when I don't is noticeable, especially in terms of brightening and clarity.
ConsThe scent isn't quite my style, if I had to pick something. Not much else to criticize, but if I'm being picky, it's quite light so you might need to pay extra attention to moisturizing afterwards. I finish with an oil or a shea butter-based cream to lock it in.
TipMy routine: After cleansing, I tone with a cotton pad, apply the Cladea Timeless Serum, then finish with a hydrating cream and facial oil. Sealing the serum with an oil barrier seems to make my skin look even clearer and more radiant the next day!
