The Panthenol cream had an unpleasant odor, so I was worried, but this one smells just like an ointment, with no unpleasantness at all. It's thick and nice.

It's a good choice for very dry skin in the winter, but applying too much to the entire face can feel a bit tight and stuffy, which is typical for an overnight-type product. When used with a good moisturizing base, it works well.
