With unnecessary plastic packaging eliminated, the shampoo bar peeks out to greet you as soon as you open the paper box. ■Unlike the square shape of other shampoo bars, Fomee's shampoo bar has a rounded, curved design that enhances the user experience. It's comfortable to grip with wet hands, and its arch shape allows for shampooing a wider area of the scalp, like a bow. ■Having an oily scalp, I was worried the aloe ingredient might make it uncomfortably moist. However, those concerns were quickly dispelled - the cleansing experience is refreshing and thorough, leaving a pleasant, invigorating feeling. ■Those of us with oily scalps often notice a subtle scalp odor when exposed to indoor heating. On days I used this shampoo bar, that smell was noticeably absent! ■The fragrance is absolutely delightful! It's not just an aloe scent, but a combination of powdery notes and the freshness of aloe juice. It's so effective at spreading its aroma that simply hanging it in the bathroom allows it to act as an air freshener. ■The texture is surprisingly firm and solid, not as soft as expected, suggesting it won't wear down quickly. It seems like it will last for a long time.
ConsThis connects to the positive points. ■I was satisfied with the squeaky-clean feeling it provides. As someone with an inherently oily scalp, I'm accustomed to using shampoos that give this clean sensation rather than moisturizing, glossy formulas, even with regular shampoos. Because of this, I'm used to always finishing with conditioner or treatment. However, if you only use the shampoo without following up, your hair might feel stiff. I recommend applying an essence before or after drying, even if you don't use a treatment. ■It's a minor point, but the fragrance doesn't linger much after shampooing. As someone who really enjoyed the scent, I find this slightly disappointing.
TipWhile it may not be a significant issue for those with short hair, individuals with longer hair should consider finishing with a treatment or essence.

My hair typically lasts a day and a half after washing. I don't have particularly oily or dry hair, and no specific scalp issues. - Fragrance The scent is amazing! It was my first time using a shampoo bar, so I was worried, but the fragrance surprised me - it's much better than I expected. The scent longevity is quite good too. Even the morning after washing my hair at night, the fragrance lasts until midday. - Cleansing Effectiveness I used this without checking if it was for dry or oily hair, but it worked well for my scalp. The squeaky clean feeling was great - I didn't expect a solid shampoo to give such a thorough cleanse, so it was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I often find that shampoos for dry hair don't hold their fragrance well and seem less effective at cleansing. This product, however, doesn't have those issues, which I really appreciate. I've enjoyed using it!
ConsWhile it lathers extremely well, the initial application was quite inconvenient for me as I have thick, long hair. Liquid shampoos are easy to apply by just rubbing them in, but this felt somewhat stiff, making it difficult to work into my scalp thoroughly. The squeaky clean feeling is both a pro and a con. This shampoo leaves hair feeling very clean, but for my damaged hair, it meant that conditioner or treatment was absolutely necessary to be able to comb through it afterwards. Oddly, when I use this shampoo, it seems like treatments don't absorb as well, so I need to let it sit for a while before it improves.
TipTry dividing your hair into three large horizontal sections. Start from the innermost section, thoroughly wet it, then apply the shampoo bar as if you're doing a gua sha massage. This method seems to work better. You'll need to lift sections of hair to apply it effectively.

It's more powdery than expected? When I hung it in the bathroom, it was almost like an air freshener, but after washing my hair, the scent doesn't linger much on the hair. The biggest advantage seems to be the reduced waste. It lathers quite well, but doesn't stay long in places like the drain. It was sufficient for washing my hair. It feels like you can wash your hair faster than with shampoo. It's like scrub-scrub-rinse and done! When you massage your scalp with the concave part of the shampoo bar, it feels somewhat refreshing.
ConsInevitably, it makes the hair feel stiffer compared to regular shampoo. After rinsing, it feels like your hair might make a squeaky clean sound. While with liquid shampoo you can easily control the amount with one or two pumps, with this you have to figure out how to lather it properly yourself. At first, I ended up making too much or too little lather. You'll probably get used to it over time, but it was a bit annoying at first. You'll often be rubbing the shampoo bar directly on your scalp, and if hair gets stuck to the product, it can look unhygienic. It's also a bit of a hassle to remove each strand... + When I was almost done with it, there was a sort of sour smell?
TipOverall, I was satisfied with it. People with oily scalp and hair Those with short hair (bob/pixie cut) Those who want to wash their hair quickly and easily These types of people might enjoy using this product. People with dry scalp and hair Those with long hair or damaged hair from bleaching or perms These individuals might find it inconvenient to use.
