  Pros

  High concentration!! I'm not sure about the exact absorption rate of vitamin C, but if you take 1000mg, you'd probably absorb at least 300mg.

  Cons

  The previous comment is correct. Not all 1000mg gets absorbed! Usually, for megadosing, they recommend taking 400mg three times a day. But be careful not to take it too late in the evening as it might affect your sleep... It's trickier than you'd think. I'm a bit skeptical about whether this tablet, as big as a bun, really has 1000mg absorption rate.

  Tip

  Try taking these tablets with your meals. Even though they say it's fine, I find that high-dose tablets can sometimes upset my stomach.

  Pros

  I truly trust Now Foods products. This one is affordable, comes in a generous quantity, and the quality is reliable. I've been recommending it to everyone around me.

  Cons

  I suppose the absorption rate might be lower compared to the powder type. Still, it's convenient to take, although the pill size is a bit on the larger side.
