  Pros

  I've tried many cosmetics, but I've never encountered a product with such a pleasant fragrance that isn't overpowering. It absorbs well and has excellent application. When I apply creams to my face, I usually avoid heavy formulas, but this one isn't heavy at all and absorbs quickly, which I really appreciate.

  Cons

  There's not really anything I dislike about it. If I had to pick something, I'd say the price is a bit steep? But then again, you get what you pay for with this quality product!

  Tip

  I'm not sure if this counts as a tip, but my personal method is to pat the product gently with my ring finger after washing my hands. I make sure to apply it before putting on makeup and also before going to bed.

  I've been using this retinol product daily, but since the Hwahae Testers period was only about 8 days, this review is based on that short timeframe. So, I can't speak to any dramatic effects just yet. 1. Lightweight texture Usually, when you think of retinol, you imagine an oily, heavy feel. But this one has a light texture similar to a regular moisturizer and absorbs quickly. 2. Non-irritating Throughout my use, I didn't experience any blemishes or issues. It's been gentle on my skin.

  Cons

  1. Initially unclear how to use it (both a pro and a con) It's designed so that you puncture the container when you're ready to use it, to prevent oxygen exposure. However, I had to search extensively to figure out how to do this. It would be better if detailed instructions were included in the product description.

  Tip

  For those with dry skin, this alone might not be enough hydration. It's probably best to follow up with your regular moisturizer!

  As expected, this retinol from Laneige, the masters of retinol, lives up to its reputation! I've tried various retinol products since the ingredient works well for me, but this Laneige retinol is my favorite so far. The retinol concentration seems slightly higher than other brands, but since I'm used to retinol, I applied it all over my face without an adjustment period, and it was great! It absorbs well and has a rich texture. The small dispenser releases a very thin amount, which is perfect for applying a thin layer evenly across the face. Retinol usually helps calm my blemishes, and this Laneige retinol was equally effective. Unless you have super sensitive skin, I think this Laneige retinol could be a great product for beginners too! It's stable and non-irritating considering its concentration. I had the opportunity to try this as part of The Hwahae Testers, and I'm so impressed that I'd repurchase it multiple times after finishing this bottle. It's a retinol that I truly love!

  There's nothing bad to say! While the amount you get for the price might be a bit disappointing, the product quality more than makes up for it!

  Tip

  As long as you follow the precautions when using retinol, this product is absolutely fantastic. Don't exfoliate when using it! Some say it's okay to use with vitamin C, but I prefer to use them separately just to be safe. In the evening, I apply a hydrating toner, a moisturizing/soothing essence, and then spread a thin layer of this over my face at the cream step before bed. My skin looks great the next day!

  I was hesitant to use retinol after hearing it's a harsh ingredient, but Laneige's retinol applied effortlessly without any concern.
