  I bought this because I love Laneige products. Even though I have sensitive skin, it didn't cause any blemishes or tingling sensation! I was surprised at how gentle the retinol could be. For me, I apply a rich moisturizer after this as it can be a bit drying on its own!

  Retinol is one of the hottest ingredients right now, and I heard Laneige was a go-to for it, so I had to check it out. The texture absorbs better than I expected. I thought it would be thick since it's an anti-aging product, but it feels more like an emulsion essence. It's 95% pure retinol, so they recommend applying a rice grain-sized amount to problem areas for the first 1-2 weeks, then moving to full-face application by week 3. I was worried about tingling, but there wasn't any at all. Just a slight warming sensation - less intense than most lip plumping products! It's not sticky like an eye cream and absorbs quickly, so I'm really looking forward to week 3. The fragrance is also pleasantly subtle.

My skin type: Combination (dry U-zone + oily T-zone), prone to redness, sensitive (I rarely change my skincare routine as unsuitable products immediately cause blemishes). Due to my skin's sensitivity, I stick to gentle products that work well for me. My usual routine includes The Lab by Blanc Doux Deep Toner, Laneige Phyto-Alexin line, Laneige Cream Skin, Nature Republic Steam Cream, Cell Fusion C cream and cleansing water, sunscreen, and SUA:SKIN foam cleanser. This retinol product combines well with my routine! Applying steam cream, then retinol before bed results in amazing skin in the morning... without any tingling! My mom and I are using it together, and she loves it too. We plan to keep using it after finishing this one. Scent: Not harsh at all, with a subtle and pleasant fragrance. Texture and feel: It's rich yet spreads easily and feels fresh. A big plus is that it's not sticky or heavy! I've been applying it every other day around my eyes and nasolabial folds, but in two weeks, I plan to try it all over my face. For those with sensitive skin who are afraid to try new products, I highly recommend giving this a shot! Just start with a small amount every other day for about two weeks. Strongly recommended!
