I found this product while looking for a light cleansing milk for my morning routine. It's great value with a generous amount at a good price, and I love how gentle it is! My skin tends to break out or get itchy with even slightly harsh products, but I had no such issues with this one. The finish doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, just nicely hydrated~ I think its cleansing effectiveness might be a bit lacking for removing makeup or sunscreen... Even considering double cleansing... It's perfectly suitable for a light morning cleanse though. At first, I used it like a cleansing milk or oil, rolling it on and then emulsifying with water. However, I found that simply massaging it in and rinsing it off directly gave a better user experience with this product. - db*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedFeb 27, 2025
An incredibly gentle cleanser that feels like washing with water. Perfect for morning cleansing routines. The cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly impressive. It's not ideal for removing makeup or sunscreen... - ch**************Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 22, 2025
I love how gentle and non-irritating it is! As expected from Cetaphil, the product quality is excellent. While it's not an issue for me, I wouldn't recommend this to those who prefer a lot of lather. It doesn't foam up much. - mo********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 18, 2025
I absolutely love that this cleanser is gentle and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry! I used to have resilient skin that never broke out, regardless of what products I used. However, after about a year of using the wrong cosmetics, my skin barrier completely collapsed. My skin became super sensitive, thin, and pale - breaking out at the slightest provocation without even producing sebum (like a blob fish). Since then, I've been on a mission to find products that work well for me, whether it's cleansers or moisturizers. Among them, I've settled on Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser as my morning cleanser! I used to think that a good cleanser needed lots of foam to clean effectively, but this product cleanses without foam while being gentle and packed with hydration. For me, there were no downsides at all. It's affordable, gentle, and comes in a large quantity! It's perfect. However, for those who are used to foaming cleansers, the fact that this product doesn't foam at all might be a bit disappointing. I typically use this as my morning cleanser, but when I use it in the evening on days I've worn makeup, I use it as a second cleanse after using a cleansing milk or water for the first step. However, since I'm very cautious about damaging my skin barrier, on days when I've only worn mineral sunscreen, I just use cleansing milk for the first (and only) cleanse. Generally, I only use it in the morning! Still, it doesn't cause any blemishes and works so well for my skin that I'll be sticking with it for life! - yj******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 1, 2025
Excellent for morning cleansing. When used with a sponge, it can even remove light makeup. It's particularly effective when my skin is flaky or breaking out! The price is fantastic and there are no downsides! It doesn't cause any blemishes and leaves skin hydrated. Try using it with a cleansing sponge for best results! - ys*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 28, 2024
Great for seborrheic dermatitis without drying out the skin. However, it doesn't lather, so you need to squeeze it out and massage it directly onto your face Not recommended for oily skin types that require deep cleansing to combat excess sebum You need to squeeze it out and massage it directly onto your face - ye***Dry SkinSensitive SkinDec 26, 2024
I couldn't find any positives as it didn't suit my skin from the very first use... I was hoping this low-irritation product would work for me, given it barely even lathers. But after using it once in the evening, I woke up the next day with burning and redness on my cheeks... While not severe, I also developed several small blemishes scattered across my face. - ja********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 17, 2024
It's an excellent product that I enjoy using as part of my daily routine It doesn't lather up as much as traditional cleansers Keeps skin hydrated and nourished - re********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 9, 2024
It's incredibly gentle. I've never had any blemishes while using it. It's perfect for covering both face and body, making it ideal for travel when you decant it into smaller containers. The texture is a bit... It feels like a regular cleansing foam that's been watered down. Maybe because of this texture, it really doesn't lather up well at all. - yj******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 6, 2024
Ultimate cleanser! After using retinol, my skin was sensitive for a month - even Dove soap couldn't calm the redness. Remembering how great this was as a morning cleanser, I tried it again. It's perfect! Especially when your skin barrier is compromised or for gentle morning cleansing. Since I only use sunscreen, this cleanser alone after micellar water seems sufficient. Affordable, easily available, and gentle... What's not to love? None. I can't think of anything negative to say, even to reach 20 characters! Apply to dry skin, like you would a cleansing milk.
