It seems to have a soothing effect. I love that it's not sticky, and it makes the skin feel really moisturized and soft. The scent isn't completely fragrance-free, but it's not bothersome.
ConsDue to the shea butter and coconut oil content, I couldn't use it on my face and only applied it to my body. Those ingredients don't agree with me and cause blemishes. Oily facial skin types might find it too rich. It also takes a bit of time to absorb well.
TipI applied the emulsion right after washing. I've been applying it to my child's legs whenever they felt dry.

There's a slight scent, but it disappears quickly after application. The fragrance is similar to Atopalm's panthenol emulsion. Comparatively, CeraVe's formula feels a bit thinner and absorbs well with better application.
ConsAs someone with housewife's eczema, I felt a tingling sensation when applying the emulsion to my child. It might cause irritation on severely damaged or cracked skin.
TipMixing this panthenol emulsion with a gentle, regular baby emulsion might help reduce potential irritation.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin that's become super sensitive, I was hesitant to try it on my face, but it turned out better than expected. I was most concerned about natural oils causing blemishes on my oily skin, as opposed to silicone-based moisturizers, but that wasn't an issue either. There is a bit of shine, though. Even with a small amount on my face, I woke up with an oil slick in my T-zone, but interestingly, the tiny bumps around my mouth improved. I'd recommend this for dry skin or those with textured skin. It contains cica ingredients which seem to have a calming effect, and there's a pine-like scent that I personally enjoyed. I used it with my third-grade daughter, and it's even better for kids. She liked it for its fresh feel and took it for herself.
ConsIf you have acne-prone oily skin, check the natural oil ingredients before using. It contains shea butter and coconut oil. When my skin gets irritated, I tend to get small bumps around my eyes like inflammation, and I noticed one or two appear. Because of this, I only use it around my mouth area on my face.
TipIt works well when applied thinly around the mouth or chin area and finished with your regular products. For combination dehydrated skin that's reaching the stage of needing face oils, this is perfect as an oil substitute. For those with oily skin, it's great for spot-treating the face and works wonderfully on the body without any stickiness.

Hence the update. *Love that the fragrance isn't artificial *It's lightweight with a burst of hydration rather than oiliness, making it perfect for summer with its cooling and calming effects *The tube packaging is hygienic, and the container feels luxurious
Cons*The panthenol ingredient might work for some people but not others. Unfortunately, I'm in the latter group and experienced a few blemishes. However, for those it suits, this could be their holy grail emulsion
TipI think it would be amazing to use as a cooling mask if you keep it in the refrigerator
