The pads are shaped like chestnuts and have a sweet candy scent, which is adorable and delightful. I'd give it full marks for concept!

What's great is that I could keep them on while drying my hair, and they didn't dry out at all. They stayed saturated with essence the whole time, which was fantastic.

The material itself is designed for deep pore cleansing, so it's not exactly gentle. While it feels mild during a single use, the effects can accumulate. Though it's not peak oil production season yet, using it twice daily can noticeably thin the skin barrier. For oily skin, I recommend using it only in the evening daily. For less oily skin, try using it every other night.

Even with a gentle touch, you can feel the pressure from the pad's textured surface. It's amazing how it picks up yellowish residue with just a light swipe. That's why I pay extra attention to areas prone to blemishes. I've definitely noticed a reduction in the number of breakouts.

The pads have a gauze side and an embossed side. I used the gauze side for a mask and the embossed side as an exfoliating toner. The gauze side isn't rough, so using it as an exfoliating toner wasn't uncomfortable. The built-in tweezers and their storage compartment are a bit tricky to open, though.

The different embossing on each side allows for versatile use - the embossed side for refining skin texture and the smooth side for tightening pores when applied. It's great that the essence contains gentle Ulmus davidiana LHA (which I found out is a low-irritation exfoliating ingredient), making it excellent for removing skin impurities (you can actually see the dark residue on the pad). Leaving the pad on the T-zone for 5 minutes helps visibly reduce pore size (I noticed this effect when looking in the mirror after use).
