It also absorbs into the skin incredibly fast. There's no stickiness or heavy feeling, which is so satisfying. After applying it two or three times, I noticed a significant reduction in dryness.
ConsWhile the ingredients are slightly disappointing, they didn't cause any issues for me. However, for this price point, the performance is rather ordinary and unremarkable. I feel like it could easily be replaced by other products. The value for money is a bit disappointing.

It's perfect as an exfoliating toner. Using it as a 5-minute toner mask before makeup makes your base apply flawlessly (emphasis) FYI) As this brand was new to me, I did some research. Turns out it's a famous Japanese brand launched nearly 40 years ago! The name SEKKISEI means 'skin as clear and radiant as snow' Looking at it now, the three characters on the toner '雪肌精' (snow-skin-essence) have the same meaning. It really gives off the vibe of a toner for achieving fair and clear skin!
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that there's one ingredient to be cautious about, but I didn't experience any stinging or discomfort while using it. It does seem to be a gentle product overall.
TipSince it's a water-type, it works great with cotton pads! As shown in the photo, buy thin cotton pads (the kind that don't absorb all the liquid) to save on toner. It's absolutely perfect for toner masking!!! Especially on hot days like these when your face heats up and you worry about bacteria growth... In the evening after removing makeup, soak a few cotton pads with plenty of toner and place them on your face. It's amazing for cooling and hydrating your skin!

Despite its transparent, water-like texture, it leaves a light layer of moisture after absorption, reducing dryness without feeling greasy. 2. Fragrance-free, so it's suitable for everyone. 3. While not exactly a benefit, the unique bottle design is quite distinctive. 4. Eco-friendly packaging makes recycling easy. 5. There's a slight stickiness initially, but it diminishes as the product absorbs. 6. Apart from one potentially concerning ingredient, the formulation is generally good.
ConsCons: 1. Contains phenoxyethanol, a controversial preservative. (Many brands are reducing or eliminating potentially harmful ingredients these days, so it's questionable why they included this one.) 2. After the initial hydration absorbs, there's a slight oily residue. I expected this to help maintain moisture, but for my dry skin, it's only marginally less drying than a water-based toner over time. 3. Somewhat pricey. The 200ml size seems overpriced for what it offers. It's neither particularly cost-effective nor exceptionally effective, and sales are infrequent, so purchasing is questionable. 4. Disappointing that most of the packaging information, except for ingredients and basic precautions, is only in Japanese and English.
TipThis toner might be suitable for combination or oily skin types, but for those with dry skin, using it alone may not be enough. For best results, follow up with an emulsion or ampoule to lock in hydration for longer-lasting moisture.

The surprising part comes after! Unlike some water toners that absorb and leave skin dry soon after, this one feels like it's holding onto moisture. It's incredibly hydrating! Free from everything No fragrance, no color, no irritation, no burden Seems like it could be used in winter without irritation while keeping skin moisturized! Clean design It's truly clear and transparent. I love the minimalist design!
ConsIt's disappointing that it's a Japanese product Wish it was domestically made and a bit more affordable!

Use my review as a reference only. My skin type is combination dehydrated, super sensitive, and prone to blemishes - basically a disaster! Here's what I liked: It's hydrating. It absorbs well without feeling sticky. It's fragrance-free. The packaging is sleek and clean-looking.
ConsThe texture feels a bit heavy. Even when I used it as an exfoliating toner with a cotton pad, it still felt heavy on my skin.

Interestingly, it's the best toner I've used for combating deep dryness, yet the finish feels clean, almost like a coating. However, there's a slight oily sensation in that coating, so it doesn't feel dry at all Irritation: Absolutely no irritation. My skin is sensitive and often tingles with products, but it felt comfortable with this. It's also fragrance-free, great for those sensitive to scents Skin appearance: This is what I loved most. After applying this toner, I finally understood what it means for makeup to 'sink in' well. When I applied makeup over this toner, there was no floating, dead skin cells, pilling, or caking. It absorbed into my skin, giving a natural look as if it were my own skin Recommended for: Dry skin in summer (Best), Oily skin in winter! Recommended method: I've tried various ways, but I prefer gently patting it in with my hands for the best absorption Conclusion: This is the champion of clean, well-absorbing toners What's amazing is that there's no dryness at all, which impressed me from the first use!
ConsEverything's great, but I was shocked by the price. I guess there's a reason for its quality...

Texture: It's like adding a drop of essence to water and mixing it. Completely transparent and just like water. No oily residue at all. As you'd expect from its water-like consistency, it absorbs well and spreads easily. I applied it using a cotton pad, and it felt like it was absorbing super quickly. You could also pat it into your skin with your palms to help it absorb. Ingredients: Overall, it has relatively gentle ingredients. When applied, there's absolutely no irritation, making it feel like a really mild toner. I think even those with super sensitive skin can use it without worry. Scent: It's almost fragrance-free, so it should be great for those who are sensitive to scents. Design: The clean and transparent case really emphasizes the mild and clear feel of the product.
ConsBeing an imported product, it's a bit on the pricey side. Try to grab it with a friend when there's a discount or buy-one-get-one-free offer.
TipTry keeping it in the fridge and using it as a toner mask - it's great for cooling down your skin temperature.

It's as gentle as water, causing no irritation, but it's a versatile powerhouse with excellent absorption and hydration. I'm using it with great satisfaction, and I think it's particularly well-suited for those with dry skin like mine.
ConsWhile I believe it's intended to aid in moisturizing, there might be a slight rich feeling to it. Those with oily skin or blemishes might want to keep this in mind when using it. If there's one truly disappointing aspect, it's that the price is rather steep.
TipIn my evening routine, after cleansing, I use a toner for skin balancing, then apply this Sekkisei lotion for an extra layer, and finish with a hydrating cream. This keeps my skin from feeling dry and maintains moisture levels until the next day!

After cleansing sunburned skin, I apply it by patting it on lightly, dividing it into two small amounts. It absorbs really well. It maintains hydration without feeling dry or unpleasantly sticky.
ConsThe price... There might be a sale soon. The name... The original name is a bit off-putting, but okay!

That's probably why it absorbs comfortably into the skin without causing any blemishes, and it seems to effectively even out the skin texture. It's fragrance-free, making it pleasant to use. The texture appears light like water, but you can feel a slight oiliness. However, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It seems to form a moisturizing barrier, keeping the skin deeply hydrated and giving a subtle glow that makes your complexion look great when you apply makeup. The bottle's opening is designed to prevent excessive pouring, allowing you to use just the right amount.
ConsDue to its slight oiliness, it might be more suitable for dry skin rather than oily skin. The price is a bit disappointing. It's quite expensive, which might make it a burden to purchase.
TipFor an extra boost to combat deep dryness, try soaking a thin cotton pad with the product and leaving it on your skin for about 30 seconds.
