First time trying it and it's surprisingly good. I'll definitely repurchase. Hmm... Nothing really. It's soft and nice. The scent is a bit lacking, but I'm using it knowing they didn't add any fragrance. - ye**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesRednessRecommendedJun 13, 2025
I think I've found my new go-to cleansing oil. Its cleansing effectiveness and ability to remove sebum are excellent. What's great is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling overly dry after use. There's nothing to complain about. Overall, I'm using it with complete satisfaction. - jw******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 12, 2025
It cleanses effectively without being harsh. Recommended for sensitive skin. This product contains fermented ingredients, which gives it a distinct fermented scent that might not be for everyone. The cleanser provides gentle yet thorough cleansing, making it suitable for those with super sensitive skin. Its mild formula helps maintain the skin's oil and moisture balance without causing irritation. However, the unique fermented aroma might be an acquired taste for some users. - so******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 11, 2025
I snagged this at a great price during Hwahae Week! It does an excellent job of removing makeup~ The scent is a bit off-putting, and the texture feels somewhat thick and heavy - ms****Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 9, 2025
I've tried various cleansers, but they all caused blemishes, so I decided to give this oil cleanser a try. I don't like products that feel too heavy, and this one seems to strike a nice balance. I plan to use it consistently in my quest to achieve beautiful skin! The scent might be a bit polarizing for some people. I haven't noticed anything else particularly noteworthy yet. Since my skin is sensitive, I don't cleanse too vigorously and finish within a minute. - ek******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 6, 2025
My skin type is dry with lots of blemishes, and I tend to get chin acne. Here's how I use it: Before removing my makeup, I pump a small amount into my palm and rub it together. Then I gently massage it all over my face. After that, I add a bit of water to emulsify it and finish by rinsing with lukewarm water. It left my skin feeling incredibly hydrated with zero deep dryness! I highly recommend this for those with dry skin. The cleansing effectiveness is excellent! To be honest, I was hesitant rather than disappointed. I already had products I was using, and I wasn't quite sure about this one. I guess "skeptical" would be the right word. Being someone with super sensitive skin, I was unsure if it would work well for me. However, after trying it, I'm glad I gave it a chance! The reviewer's experience highlights the product's effectiveness for dry, blemish-prone skin. They describe a thorough cleansing method that leaves skin hydrated without any tightness. Despite initial skepticism due to sensitive skin concerns, the reviewer ultimately found the product satisfactory, emphasizing its gentle yet effective cleansing power. - mu**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedJun 5, 2025
★Genuine, purchased-with-my-own-money review *Products used: Rice Makgeolli Cleansing Oil and Foam Set *Skin type: Very combination (?) unstable dry, sensitive type. *Purchase criteria: I'm an extremely cautious Type T who spends days researching cosmetic ingredients, value for money, etc. before carefully choosing. *Photo description: The photos simply show cleansing after wearing mineral sunscreen for 6 hours. It was a period when I had some dead skin cells, so they appear more pronounced during cleansing. *After 1st cleanse: I pump 3 times, roll over the entire face, then dampen and roll again (following product instructions). The cleansing oil alone wasn't perfect. Perhaps because it lacks certain harsh ingredients found in famous cleansing oils that give that squeaky clean, exfoliating feeling. It didn't completely remove lip tint stains in addition to mineral sunscreen, but visually removed cake-type eyebrow product. *After 2nd cleanse: After using the low pH cleansing foam, even fine facial hair looks clean to the naked eye. It lathers well. *Overall experience: Gentle and mild, but cleanses well with the 2-step process. Skin texture improves and feels refined. Feels moisturized and comfortable after cleansing. (It's like that feeling after rinsing with rice water? Showing my age here, haha) This product line's unique features are the use of rice bran, rice bran oil, and fermented rice extract. The hydration, gentleness, and rice-derived ingredients are all great, but... The issue is that the day after first use, I noticed some small bumps. Usually when I drink a bottle of makgeolli, I get red bumps here and there on my face the next day, and it was exactly like that. The difference was that it didn't hurt or itch, and while my skin texture really improved, I was a bit surprised to see a few red bumps on my forehead and nose. But they disappeared the next day. On second use, the reaction was milder, and now I'm using it with no symptoms at all. (*I'm sharing my experience that you might have an initial "adjustment" to the makgeolli... just in case) When first using, results may vary, but you might experience some skin reaction as it adapts to the rice enzymes. There's no special trick to using cleansing oil, just follow the product instructions... (Just like how ramen tastes best when cooked according to the package directions) - as******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 4, 2025
It has great cleansing power, so I used it daily! It removes makeup well, making it perfect for the first step of double cleansing. I have oily skin, so maybe the oil doesn't suit me? I feel like my pores are getting larger and I think I'm getting blemishes... - hb******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedApr 22, 2025
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with excess oil, prone to blemishes I generally prefer cleansing oils due to my high sebum production. I was curious about this product made from rice and makgeolli! The cleansing effectiveness is excellent. It rolls on smoothly and emulsifies cleanly. It removes eye and lip makeup effectively too. After use, there was no irritation, and it didn't leave my skin feeling overly stripped or dry. The scent seems to be the distinctive aroma of makgeolli. I didn't find it unpleasant! I recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle cleansing oil. It didn't cause any blemishes, and the emulsification process is good, making it suitable for everyone. When using cleansing oil, it's best to use a generous amount and massage it in to minimize skin irritation. Just be sure to pay attention to the emulsification process! - tj******RecommendedApr 15, 2025
I was worried because my skin is acne-prone and sensitive, but this cleanser had great cleansing effectiveness without causing any blemishes or irritation There wasn't anything particularly disappointing. I was initially concerned because it contains rice wine, but it turned out to be fine
