It's incredibly hydrating. This makes it a great product for touch-ups. As a standalone foundation, the coverage seems a bit lacking. More importantly, it gets way too oily. Repurchasing is questionable. The product appears to be a moisturizing base or foundation. It excels in providing hydration, making it suitable for touch-ups throughout the day. However, it falls short as a primary foundation due to insufficient coverage. The main issue is its tendency to become excessively oily over time, which might be problematic for those with combination or oily skin types. This oiliness factor makes the reviewer hesitant about repurchasing the product. - 07****Combination SkinRecommendedMay 17, 2025
The color range is around 20 shades, so it's quite bright! The internal cushion is made of a firm, elastic material, and the case is lovely^_^ It's a moisturizing cushion with an essence-like feel, and the coverage is quite good! So when you apply it, a subtle glow comes through beautifully. Especially, there's no pore clogging or around the nose, so the skin expression looks particularly lovely!! Overall, it's a well-balanced cushion. The color was relatively bright for me, but the adhesion was somewhat lacking. Additionally, the puff size was unusually smaller, which caused a slight discomfort. - jh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMay 12, 2025
This is my first time using a department store cushion, and now I understand why people love them! It adheres beautifully to the skin even when applied casually. My redness suddenly flared up, so I applied it thickly on my cheeks to cover it, but it didn't look cakey at all. What a great product! I've only used drugstore cushions and BB creams before. This is my first department store cushion, but I have no complaints. It works perfectly for me! The mini cushion is great for touch-ups on the go, especially for lip makeup. It's compact and convenient to carry around. - zl******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2025
The coverage is pretty decent, and it's fairly average in all aspects. No wonder it's a popular product! Just my luck - I bought the old version right before they released the new one, and now they don't seem compatible. What a shame! - dl*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 22, 2025
As someone with a complexion lighter than shade 21, I find shade 10 to be pleasantly bright without being too stark. While it can look a bit heavy if you don't control the amount, when applied skillfully it looks natural, offers some coverage, and gives a subtle glow that makes you look radiant. There's no issue with it settling into pores. If you use the lightest shade of Sulwhasoo's Perfecting Cushion, shade 10 should work well for you. Compared to Sulwhasoo, this feels lighter, doesn't settle, and looks less thick on the skin. The coverage, while natural-looking, isn't perfect. Being semi-matte, it can feel slightly heavy on the skin. - rl*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 14, 2025
I've been using this for about two months, and as someone with dry skin, I'm always on the hunt for a hydrating cushion. I heard the Yves Saint Laurent cushion was moisturizing, so I grabbed it duty-free. It's incredibly hydrating and amazing! In my experience, there was absolutely no pilling. However, being a hydrating cushion, don't expect miraculous coverage. That said, it provides decent basic coverage, and the hydration is unbeatable. It's simply the best! Comparing shade 10 to other cushions, it's very similar to the lightest shade of the Fenty Beauty cushion, which I use. It's suitable for those who typically use shade 21 or slightly lighter. There's just one downside: the price. But grabbing it duty-free is the way to go! A little goes a long way - you can pat it on or blend it out, and it's still sufficient. - eu*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRednessRecommendedApr 14, 2025
My skin usually doesn't play well with cushion foundations, but this one doesn't cake up at all! That's why I'm sticking with it and not even considering trying other cushions. To be honest, I use powder foundations more than cushions anyway... But the shade of this one is nice, and above all, the cushion design is really pretty. Haha! It's so expensive!!! I could buy three other cushions for this price... I'm not sure if I'll repurchase the same one or try something different when I finish the refill... - mm****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
Texture - ★★★★☆ (4/5) The semi-matte formula adheres moistly at first, then sets to a soft, powdery finish! I loved how it clung to the skin without any patchiness, creating a smooth, even application. For drier areas, applying thin layers works beautifully for a more polished look. Longevity - ★★★★★ (5/5) This foundation barely budges over time, and when it does fade, it does so gracefully without looking messy. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I was really impressed that it stayed flawless until the afternoon without any touch-ups. Oxidation - ★★★★☆ (4/5) There was a slight deepening of tone after extended wear, but it remained natural-looking without turning dull. The minimal oxidation made it suitable even for summer use. Color - ★★★★☆ (4/5) The light beige tone leans neutral to cool, perfect for summer cool-toned skin! It has just the right amount of brightness without being overly pink, naturally evening out the complexion. If you prefer a bright, radiant base, you'll be pleased with this. Coverage - ★★★★☆ (4/5) With medium coverage, it naturally conceals redness and blemishes. It adheres thinly while noticeably evening out the skin tone, making the complexion look clearer with just one layer. You can achieve a flawless base even without concealer. The puff is a bit firm, so be careful with product amount control when first using it! - gg*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 25, 2025
I first tried this in 2021 and loved it so much that I've repurchased it several times...! I've bought and used a few other cushions, but in the end... I always come back to the YSL cushion. My skin tends to be sensitive and sometimes reacts badly to products, but I've never had any issues with the YSL cushion! It's my go-to product because it applies smoothly without caking, even when my skin isn't at its best or I'm dealing with dead skin cells. It's truly a versatile must-have. The main drawback is that it's on the pricier side, which can be a bit of a burden... - jo*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2025
I use it in the morning when I'm busy and mainly for touch-ups. It works well for me. The adherence and coverage are above average. It blends nicely with my skin - I love it so much! When I have blemishes, using it alone might not provide enough coverage, but of course, you can always use a concealer. As a cushion foundation, the coverage is good. The case is pretty, and when I'm out doing touch-ups, I can use it anytime without much fuss. It blends transparently and moistly with my skin. Great!
