Unlike some mineral sunscreens that make your base makeup crack and pill after a while, this one doesn't do that at all. In fact, it gives a beautiful glow that I'm really satisfied with! It's perfect for those with dry skin, but people with oily or combination skin might not prefer this type of formula.
ConsI started getting blemishes around the time I began using this. When I apply this sunscreen, I feel my philtrum getting hot with every breath. I think it's trapping heat in the skin, which is probably why I keep getting breakouts.

Some might call it "high-maintenance" skin. After a disastrous experience where my entire face reacted badly to a random sunscreen, I've been cautiously testing different options. I usually stick to mineral sunscreens, known for their gentler formulations. This time, I decided to try a chemical sunscreen I received as part of a product testing program. As advertised, this sunscreen has excellent absorption. It applies like a hydrating moisturizer with minimal resistance. The claim about it being non-sticky after application is accurate. There's no heavy or greasy feeling left behind. Most importantly, I didn't develop any blemishes the next day. (This is crucial for my sensitive skin - even the second-place mineral sunscreen in a recent award caused me to break out.) Overall, this product passes the test. I'd recommend it to anyone prioritizing a pleasant texture in their sunscreen.
Cons*For brightening and evening skin tone, mineral sunscreens still reign supreme. *Update: About a month later, I tried it again and experienced itching and small, red blemishes. I'm retracting my recommendation.

But this time, I tried a hydration-packed skincare routine topped with the Melafil sunscreen for my base. From 10 AM when I applied my makeup to 5 PM when I checked, everything stayed put without breaking down. My friends even asked why my makeup hadn't budged all day! The only downside was that my skin looked a bit too dewy, so I needed some blotting papers. Overall, I loved how it absorbed seamlessly, leaving my skin looking translucent and radiant. I'm 98% sure I'll repurchase this!
ConsOn the second day of use, I experienced a slight tingling sensation when applying the sunscreen, just once. I'm not sure why, but I've been able to use it without issues since then.
TipI highly recommend this for those with extremely dry skin. The sunscreen is incredibly moisturizing, so when paired with a hydrating cushion or foundation, you might find your skin looking quite dewy by afternoon. Keep some powder or blotting papers handy!

It felt moisturizing and creamy without leaving any white cast.
ConsUp until now, chemical sunscreens haven't worked for me. When I apply them, my face stings and burns as they absorb. I hoped this product might be different, but unfortunately, it caused the same stinging and burning sensation, so I had to wash it off immediately and start my skincare routine over. I guess I'll have to stick to mineral sunscreens.

The consistency was similar to an emulsion. <No White Cast> Unlike some mineral sunscreens that can leave a white cast, this organic sunscreen doesn't leave any residue, which I really appreciated. <Scent> It's not completely unscented, but has a subtle fragrance - perhaps reminiscent of angel clay? It's pleasant and not off-putting at all! <Feel on Skin> This sunscreen finishes with a fresh, powdery feel without any stickiness! I've found that even great sunscreens can be off-putting if they're sticky or greasy, but this one was a pleasure to use.
Cons<Seal> It's worth noting that this new product doesn't come with a seal. If you're particularly sensitive about this, you might want to avoid it.

While it doesn't necessarily brighten or even out the skin tone, I noticed that foundation adheres well when applied right after, giving a sense that makeup goes on beautifully. The consistency is as soft as a hydrating cream, with no white cast or pilling even when applied generously. It absorbs well into the skin and spreads easily, no matter how you apply it.
ConsI should mention that I'm nearing my monthly cycle, which could be a factor, but I started developing blemishes a day after using this. While I'll need to see if this continues after my cycle ends, I'm a bit disappointed. I thought I had found a product that worked well with my makeup routine, but it's been somewhat disheartening.

First off, it's incredibly hydrating and spreads easily. When you squeeze it out, it looks like a regular sunscreen texture, but it's actually a sun milk formula! I applied quite a generous amount on half of my hand, and it absorbed quickly without any white cast or greasiness. Because it absorbs so fast, it was easy to apply multiple layers. Even with a lot of sunscreen on, my base makeup went on smoothly without any pilling. It's fragrance-free, so I think even those with super sensitive skin could use it without irritation.
ConsBeing extremely sensitive, I usually experience some eye stinging even with products advertised as non-irritating. This one also causes a slight stinging sensation if it gets into my eyes. Also, when I used it with just my Hera cushion, I developed a couple of painful deep blemishes.
TipRemember, for effective sun protection, it's crucial to apply sunscreen thinly in multiple layers!

The absence of white cast was also a plus. The packaging is sleek, and the inclusion of panthenol gives the impression that it helps strengthen the skin barrier. I liked that it felt gentle with its mild ingredients.
ConsAs someone with dry skin, I was worried when I felt the rich texture during application. When I applied makeup over it, it pilled. Moreover, my skin felt increasingly dry over time, so I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin. After using it for a few days, I noticed increased sebum production and a lot of small bumps appeared. While the ingredients aren't bad, it doesn't seem to suit my skin type.

Color: There's no white cast, so it doesn't leave a ghostly appearance! Texture: It has a consistency between an emulsion and an essence, making it thinner than other sunscreens. This means it absorbs well into the skin.
ConsAs I have combination dehydrated skin, after some time, it felt like oil was rising to the surface, making my skin feel stuffy. Also, after using it for three consecutive days, I experienced some itching and small blemishes (like millet seeds). Packaging: I was disappointed that there was no seal on the box or product, and no inner seal on the product opening.
TipThis product is great for those looking for a sunscreen without white cast, those who prefer organic UV filters, and those with dry skin types!
