The brightening effect is noticeable and really helps with my complexion.
ConsWhen I wear this alone on bare skin, it sometimes pills in certain areas, looking a bit patchy. Occasionally, it can also come off in spots. Even when I apply makeup over it, I still experience some pilling. Because of this, I've stopped using it under makeup.
TipSince it tends to pill quite a bit when used alone, I recommend mixing it with another sunscreen for better results.

First off, for a tone-up sunscreen, it has a high UV protection factor, which is great. I either apply it on bare skin or use it before my cushion foundation to prevent darkening. The high SPF makes me feel more secure. Plus, it definitely evens out my skin tone and leaves a nice finish that's neither too dry nor too oily. I think it would be perfect for students!
ConsWhile it doesn't happen often, if my skin isn't in the best condition or if I've applied too many skincare products underneath, it can pill like dead skin cells. So I'd strongly advise against buying this at full price. However, if you can get it for around 10,000 won or less, it might be worth trying. Also, the product tends to accumulate around the nozzle, so I have to clean it every time I use it, which is a bit inconvenient.
TipOverall, this brightening moisturizer with SPF offers good value for money, especially for those looking for an affordable option with decent sun protection and tone-evening properties. It's particularly suitable for students or anyone who wants a simple, effective step in their daily skincare routine. However, be mindful of potential pilling issues and the need for regular nozzle cleaning.

When you apply it, these tiny beads burst, creating a smooth, even application without any dryness. At first, I thought, "Wow, is this making me too bright?" But as I blended it in, it gradually created a natural, beautiful, and uniform complexion. I'm thrilled with how it's improved my skin tone - it's just gorgeous now! The moment I put it on, I transform into a glowing goddess. As someone with oily skin, I'm so pleased that it doesn't darken throughout the day!
ConsThe only downside is that occasionally, when you rub it in, something comes off that feels like dead skin. I'm a bit concerned that for those with dry skin, this might accentuate flakiness or dead skin cells.
TipHere's a personal tip: after applying, I use a makeup sponge to gently pat it all over for an even finish. Then I spritz some aloe mist on top, and any dryness completely disappears!

The way it evens skin tone looks natural too.
ConsThe staying power is really poor. Even after applying powder, within just two hours my complexion turns sallow again. If not applied carefully, it pills like dirt.

It's moisturizing and gives such a beautiful glow. The innovative pump dispenser is fantastic, and I find myself eagerly waiting to apply this these days. The scent is quite pleasant too!
ConsI'm not sure if it's just me, but unlike other sunscreens that don't pill, this one from Edith tends to roll off like dead skin cells when applied. Even after thoroughly hydrating my skin, it still forms a powdery layer that I have to constantly rub off with my hands. It's quite frustrating.

It's impossible to apply properly, whether alone or under makeup.
ConsYou have to work incredibly hard to apply it, but even then, the results are disappointing! It's sticky and greasy, yet barely brightens the complexion. If you apply more for better coverage, it looks even worse. Using powder helps a bit, but it still pills like dead skin. I wish I hadn't tried it.
TipIf you must use it, squeeze it onto your hand and mix thoroughly until fully blended before applying to your face. Then, very carefully dust a blurring powder on top, being careful not to create clumps. This makes it somewhat usable. However, this advice is only for those who've already bought it. Even with all this effort, you won't achieve a beautiful, foundation-free look, so absolutely do not purchase this product!

ConsIf you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin. For those with oily skin, it might make you look excessively shiny
TipInstead of just applying it directly, it's better to use a puff and pat on an appropriate amount to avoid pilling

Product texture: A runny, serum-like consistency with purple tone-up beads. It's a unique sunscreen formula with purple particles mixed into the serum! I expected it to feel like an extremely sticky night serum, given it's a tone-up sun serum [sunscreen + serum]. However, as someone with dry skin, I found the actual feel to be quite light. (My mother, who has oily skin, said it felt greasy, so individual experiences may vary) Tone-up effect? Yes! It effectively color-corrects by neutralizing yellow undertones with its purple hue. It works well as a brightening moisturizer. Clean packaging: The pump dispenser is hygienic. Scent: A neutral, inoffensive cosmetic fragrance
ConsWhile those with oily skin might find it too rich, as someone with dry skin, I felt it lacked hydration when used alone. In areas prone to dryness like the chin, where we tend to neglect moisturizing, it had a whitish cast typical of brightening moisturizers and tended to pill, leaving residue that looked like dead skin cells. 📍 If you use this, it's best to apply it over a hydrating moisturizer for a solid base 📍 Not recommended for those with oily skin... 📍 Having to rub until the capsule beads burst was a bit annoying and made me worry about potential skin irritation
Tip1. Dispense the desired amount onto the back of your hand 2. Instead of applying directly to your face, mix it a bit on the back of your hand to burst the beads 3. Then apply to your face, working in any remaining beads as you go

But on a completely dry face, it glides on smoothly, and on skin with some skincare applied, it spreads incredibly well! ✅ While the difference might not be dramatic in photos, it significantly brightens yellowish or reddish skin tones. Be sure to control the amount! It's great for a light brightening effect (compared to other brightening sunscreens, it lasts quite long, and over time, the white cast absorbs into the skin, looking natural - which is fantastic!) ✅ Always shake before use, and two pumps are enough to cover both face and neck, making application super convenient. It's a great alternative to foundation for a makeup-free look. ✅ Apart from the strange scent, it's incredibly easy to apply. As someone with very dry skin, I find it much less drying than cushions or foundations. It's exceeded my expectations, and it's currently my most-reached-for base product! ✅ While the volume might seem small, two pumps are more than enough for face and neck. Given its affordable price, I'm considering repurchasing when I run out (80-90% likely, with the remaining 10-20% hesitation due to the truly awful scent).
Cons✔ If you apply it over heavy skincare or before products are fully absorbed, it pills and starts to come off in flakes after 2-3 hours... So proper absorption of your emulsion is crucial! ✔ With my extremely dry skin, I sometimes feel my face 'freezing' in cold wind, but compared to cushion foundations, this product shows significantly less cracking, flaking, or settling into fine lines. ✔ In the last photo, you might notice a slight oiliness (not dewiness) that seems to sit on top of the skin, mixing with the brightening particles. This leaves a residue on your hands, so you'll need to wash them after application... ✔ While the scent seems oddly pleasant when applying to the face, the lingering fragrance on your hands afterwards is really unpleasant... Really, really unpleasant...
Tip(For very dry skin) Apply your skincare - not too light, not too heavy - followed by this sun serum. If you're unsure about 'just right', here's a tip: If you're using a lightweight emulsion, apply it twice and let it absorb before using this product. If you're using a heavier emulsion, apply it once and let it absorb before using the sun serum. (Absorption is key! Otherwise, it will pill later...)

As it's a purple-tinted brightening moisturizer, it made my yellowish skin tone look more radiant. Plus, it didn't cause any darkening effect. The texture is unique - when you squeeze it out, it's half serum, half sunscreen beads. At first, I thought the beads might not spread well due to the serum, but once I gently patted and spread it, there was no clumping and it applied smoothly. The scent is a subtle sunscreen fragrance, perhaps with floral notes. It's neither particularly pleasant nor unpleasant. It's perfect for quick outings like going to the local store or exercising. When I apply it, my skin looks naturally good, as if it's my own complexion. Thanks to the serum-like formula, it absorbs deeply, addressing deep dryness when thoroughly massaged in. It also gives a slight glow, making your skin look naturally healthy.
ConsWhile there was no pilling when applied over just toner, it tends to pill like sunscreen when used over a full skincare routine with too many layers.
