It really helps neutralize yellow undertones, and the texture is incredibly rich and creamy!
ConsI noticed some small particles left on my skin. Also, if you're going for a brightening effect, you need to apply quite a generous amount.

It has been blending in very naturally, and the slip is not bad either.
ConsTo fully spread out the pores, you have to massage the area for a while, and if they get clumped up in places like the eyebrows, they tend to show up when you apply powder.

ConsThe finish feels slightly sticky and sometimes there are clumps that get pushed around.
TipApply the Hwahae powder evenly and it will adhere well to the skin, resulting in a beautiful finish. The skin expression will be firm and polished.

It was my first time trying a brightening moisturizer with SPF, and when you squeeze it out, you can feel these tiny particles! As you spread it, it evens out your skin tone~ It's convenient since it combines sun protection and complexion brightening in one step, so I mainly used it in my morning makeup routine. After application, my face definitely looked brighter and more polished, which made applying foundation easier.
ConsThe downside is that you need to spread those tiny particles carefully, and if you apply it hastily, it can clump a bit. Make sure to blend it well while looking in the mirror!

This made me feel more confident in trying it out. It's already quite popular on Olive Young with over 4,000 reviews! As a 'sun serum' rather than a sunscreen, it lives up to its name with a thin, serum-like texture that absorbs beautifully. The purple particles blend with the serum, naturally counteracting yellow tones and providing a brightening effect. It's slightly rich, so I'd recommend it for those with dry skin. As someone with dry skin myself, I loved that it didn't leave any patchiness around my nose or other areas. For those with oily skin, powder is a must! The feel is non-sticky and very lightweight, which I really appreciated. Usually, I avoid applying sunscreen when doing my makeup because it can feel sticky and uncomfortable, but this product combines the functions of a primer, serum, sunscreen, and makeup base all in one. It's incredibly versatile and convenient.
ConsThe downside: The scent is slightly reminiscent of fabric softener - I think it would have been better unscented. Also, because the formula consists of serum and separate purple particles, it doesn't apply evenly at first. You need to blend it thoroughly to get an even application.

I have fair skin lighter than shade 21, and as I've entered my late 20s, my skin tone hasn't been as even as it used to be, which was a concern. I have redness on my cheeks and a slight yellow tinge around my mouth and nose, but this product evens out those tone differences cleanly and uniformly. Since my skin is naturally light, I didn't notice a significant brightening effect, but I liked that it didn't make me look ghostly pale. The subtle purple tint is perfect, preventing any grayish cast on the face. I'd recommend this to those with similar skin tones to mine. While I haven't had a professional color analysis, I suspect I have a light undertone. Personally, I don't like heavy skin coverage, so I plan to use just this for my summer skincare routine! Oh, and since I have super sensitive eyes and always consider eye irritation when choosing sunscreen, I found this one to be relatively gentle. For combination dehydrated skin, it's not greasy and provides just the right amount of hydration.
ConsIt pills... It really pills a lot. I saw many reviews mentioning pilling, so I tried applying it on my bare skin right after waking up. (I have extremely combination dehydrated skin, so by morning my skin has absorbed all the skincare products from the night before, leaving it in a moderately dry state.) At first, I was worried about application because the serum and particles were separated, but when I took an appropriate amount and gently massaged it in, it absorbed quickly and created a beautiful skin finish. I was satisfied, but after about a minute, it started to pill like a peeling gel (maybe due to the alumina ingredient?). This happened all over where I applied it. After lightly dusting it off, the color looked really pretty, but I'm concerned that applying more would cause even more pilling. I'll have to try again after cleansing and using lighter skincare products.

It's hydrating for dry skin without causing that tingling sensation you sometimes get with mineral sunscreens. It seems like a hybrid formula?
ConsThe texture is a watery serum with small purple beads, which makes it a bit annoying to apply. I actually bought it out of curiosity after reading reviews mentioning this, but when it comes to using it daily, it's surprisingly bothersome and requires extra attention. That's why I end up not using it often. The beads don't spread easily, so you have to apply it firmly and carefully. This is a different kind of hassle compared to carefully applying a regular cream to avoid clumping. It's quite frustrating.
TipPress and pat firmly to prevent the beads from clumping

ConsI'm not sure if it's because I have dry skin, but it easily removed dead skin cells, though the granules felt a bit rough

ConsSevere pilling issues. The granules are irritating. If I had bought this with my own money, I'd feel it was a waste. Definitely a product to toss in the back of the drawer...

As it's a sun serum, it gives you that Hwahae-approved skin and really evens out your complexion.
ConsIt has tiny particles that can look like dandruff if not applied properly. If it pills, it feels like dead skin cells are flaking off, so you have to reapply completely. Controlling the amount is really challenging.
TipYou really need to use just a tiny amount of this product.
