I love that it comes in a generous size. The paper packaging makes me feel good about contributing to environmental protection, even if just a little.
ConsThere's absolutely nothing to complain about. Nothing at all. Not a single thing.

About 4 years ago, it got so bad my lips looked wrinkled. A friend suggested applying lip balm frequently throughout the day. After consistently using it for a year, my lips improved significantly - they looked normal with just lip balm. However, if I didn't apply balm for even 30 minutes to an hour when my lips felt slightly dry, dead skin cells would appear instantly. I went through a tube of lip balm monthly for years. In fall and winter, I'd end up peeling off the dead skin if I forgot to apply balm for a short while. While there was some improvement, it felt like I hit a plateau. But with Monage's Comfortable Balm, my lips have completely recovered and become much easier to manage. Typical stick lip balms are 3.5-4.25g, while Monage Multi Balm is 11-12g. So even though it seems pricey, the quantity makes it reasonable. I've tried all 3 types of Monage Multi Balm before it was sold on Hwahae: The Daily Balm is firmer, applies in a thinner layer, and feels lightweight. The Comfortable Balm applies smoothly and feels like it creates an oil barrier. When applied to lips, fingertips, cuticles, elbows, or dry patches on calves, the Comfortable Balm melts in, absorbs, and coats the skin, making it soft and supple. Using the Comfortable Balm on lips doesn't completely prevent dead skin cells, but it reduces their formation. The texture is softer and easier to gently remove without causing bleeding. Recently, the bottom part was redesigned to be more stable when pushed up, making it easier to use. The texture also seems even smoother than before. Note: With the redesign, while the inner container length remains the same, the outer printed part is slightly shorter, giving it a cuter overall appearance. Unlike regular lip balms and lipsticks, I appreciate that the Monage Multi Balm can be used completely to the end.
ConsThe entire container is made of paper, so with use, you can see it getting pressed, absorbing oil, and wearing out. Instead of twisting to raise the product, you push it up from the bottom with your finger, which can be inconvenient for some users. Previously, it was only available online or in zero-waste shops, mostly located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. These shops were often difficult for regular customers to access or unfamiliar, limiting its availability. However, it's now being sold on Hwahae and is available for online purchase at Lotte Duty Free, which is great as the number of retailers seems to be increasing.
Tip• If the balm doesn't go back down after pushing it up: ➡️ Gently tap the bottom of the Multi Balm on a surface. It will gradually go down with repeated use. If this is inconvenient when you're out, try pressing the balm firmly against your lips or skin at the end of each use. • When first using, the center may be concave and the edges dry and crumbly, not melting well: ➡️ You can slightly melt the edges as you would singe a loose thread with a lighter. Note that sensitive users might briefly notice a slight burning or gas smell. • If you're using the pre-redesign Comfortable Balm and feel grainy particles or uneven application: ➡️ This can happen due to high content of cocoa seed butter, shea butter, and oils. The best solution is to remelt and re-solidify the balm, though it might be a bit troublesome. Use a mini beaker if available, or a paper soju cup or straight whiskey glass. Break the balm into pieces, microwave while watching it melt, and stir. Don't microwave the whole balm at once. Take it out when it's mostly melted but some parts remain solid, then stir to let the residual heat melt it completely. Pour back into the container for a smooth, moisturizing texture. The Multi Balm's large size means you can pour leftovers into smaller lipstick or lip balm containers for better portability.

Absorbs well: It seems to have much better absorption than the product I used before. It's not stiff, but melts smoothly with body temperature and absorbs into the skin without clumping or forming lumps, applying evenly (see photo taken right after application). 2. Long-lasting: When applied to the back of my hand, it remains unchanged even after an hour. So when I apply it to dry areas on my face at night for moisture retention, it prevents tightness until the next day and helps maintain the previous skincare steps (see photo taken after 1 hour). 3. Transfer-resistant: Of course, being a balm type, there is some transfer, but even when intentionally wiped with the palm, the part that has melted and absorbed into the skin remains. (See photo after wiping with hand). 4. Hygienic: It's a soft oil balm in a stick form, so you can apply it without touching it with your hands, which is a great feature! When this product was first released, although it was good for protecting the skin barrier and had great moisturizing and soothing effects, I couldn't repurchase it due to the inconvenience of the packaging. I remember the paper packaging dissolving and becoming mushy towards the end, making it stiff and requiring a spatula to use. But now, receiving this improved paper packaging that applies so smoothly is fantastic. The product efficacy remains excellent even after the renewal. Among balm-type products, it settles comfortably on the skin with superior lasting power and hydration. There's no off-putting scent or colorants. I'm also satisfied with the minimal, safe ingredients. It fits nicely in one hand, making it convenient to carry around.
ConsHmm, this time I really can't find anything to complain about. The push-up mechanism works much better than before, it doesn't melt into the paper, and it pushes up just the right amount. It seems like you'll be able to use it all up without any waste, even more so than with plastic twist-up packaging. I'm not sure about other Raum balms or Daily balms, but I'm extremely satisfied with this Comfortable balm.
TipApply a small amount by gently pushing up 4-5mm at a time. You can push it up slightly every few days, and the long cap ensures it closes properly. It's great for areas where skin is bumpy, sensitive, or dry and stings when applying skincare, or after exfoliation. It's also suitable for atopic skin, reddened sensitive skin, and especially after exposure to cold wind - it maintains moisture without stinging! Just apply it to your lips twice before bed, and the moisture lasts until the next day. Simply apply it with a gentle gliding motion (see last photo). I had atopic skin on my cheeks since childhood, which would become bumpy when exposed to hair product residue or external irritants. After using this for a few days, it improved significantly (see fourth photo - before and after comparison of cheek area). Glow base tip - As shown in the third photo, use it as a multi-balm for an inner glow before your base makeup. When you apply cushion foundation over it, you can achieve a subtle glow and a clear complexion.

With winter making my skin dry and super sensitive, I was worried about the dead skin cells appearing around my lips. But after applying this balm, it significantly reduced the flakiness! I was a bit scared to apply it all over my face in case it caused blemishes, so I used it on the back of my hands and around my lips! The scent is a familiar unscented lip balm fragrance that didn't bother me, even though I'm sensitive to smells :) Above all, everyone... isn't the lip balm case absolutely gorgeous? When I used it while out and about, my friends kept complimenting how pretty the case is! Although it's a bit pricey, this multi-balm that considers both the environment and skin care... I definitely recommend it!
ConsThe paper packaging was fine until I accidentally pushed it up once, and no matter how much I tried, it wouldn't go back down. Eventually, the tip got all mushed up... I think this might be the biggest drawback in my opinion. When I asked my friends and considered it myself, the price does seem a bit high, which is somewhat disappointing.

Best of all, it melts into the skin and absorbs well. Contrary to appearances, it's gentle and provides excellent hydration, leaving your skin feeling moisturized. When I first received it, people around me asked where it was from because of its attractive design. The packaging definitely adds to its appeal. The product feels great on the skin, and perhaps due to its gentle ingredients, there's no discomfort or unpleasant sensation at all. I love how well it absorbs. At first, I was unsure, but after using it for over a week, I can definitely feel the improvement.
ConsInstead of twisting, you have to push up from the groove at the bottom. To put it back, you need to either push it in with your fingers or use the cap, which can cause the balm to get squished. Everything else is great, but this aspect needs improvement. It's a shame they didn't opt for a twist-up design instead of the push-up method.
TipI think it could be used not just on the lips, but also on the back of hands and elbows.

I've been using this product for about 10 days. Before bed, I apply it to the driest areas of my face - forehead, under eyes, nasolabial folds, neck, and behind the ears - as the final step in my skincare routine. During the day, I mix a small amount with body emulsion for dry areas like the back of my hands and joints. The texture is soft and melts easily, making it simple to apply. It's neither sticky nor heavy, so I keep it on the table and apply it to dry areas whenever I think of it. It quickly alleviates dryness, so I find myself reaching for it often.
ConsThe scent is almost undetectable. The packaging requires you to push from the bottom to dispense the product, and you need to tap the bottom after use to get the formula to settle. It seemed inconvenient at first, but I've gotten used to it and don't find it bothersome anymore. I didn't experience any blemishes, but I wish the amount was larger as it seems to run out quickly.
TipMy eye area and nasolabial folds tend to be very dry, so I often use masks on these areas. Applying this product before or after masking significantly improves hydration and reduces dryness. I also apply it to the dry, cracked areas between my fingers and nails, which helps prevent splitting and cracking of the skin there.

But after cleansing, I applied the Monage Multi Balm and it kept my skin hydrated all night - I absolutely loved it! Even a small amount provides incredible hydration! It's fragrance-free, moisturizing, and non-sticky, which made it so comfortable to use. The small size makes it perfect to carry in my bag as a portable moisturizer! My lips and fingertips get extremely dry too, so I've been applying the Monage convenient balm to replenish moisture whenever needed.
ConsThe structure isn't twist-up, you have to push it up from the bottom, which requires some force control and can be a bit inconvenient. If you don't control the force well, it all comes up at once, making it difficult to put back in. The volume is quite modest, smaller than I expected. So it might run out quickly.
TipSince it's a push-up structure, don't force it all up at once. Carefully push up just a little bit to use it. Otherwise, you'll struggle to put it back in. It's great as a lip balm alternative! It's also super convenient and effective for applying to dry areas around the mouth or on rough patches on your hands.

While it's not quickly absorbed due to its moisturizing nature, it doesn't feel sticky and provides good hydration. The compact size makes it convenient to carry around The overall packaging really showcases their commitment to environmental consciousness! While it may be slightly less convenient than plastic packaging, you quickly get used to it. The texture isn't heavy, so it's great for applying lightly to dry areas. I kept it within easy reach and applied it to my lips, the back of my hands, and my neck.
ConsThe application method might not be universally appealing, so this could be a point of contention for some users. Also, as someone with sensitive, oily skin, I had to be cautious about using it on my face. However, those with dry skin might find it very useful as a moisturizing balm!
TipTo make it easier to put back in the container, try rounding the edges by applying it to the back of your hand first. Then you can gently push it back in with your hand. Since it's designed to be pushed out from the back for use, it's best to only take out as much as you need each time to avoid difficulties getting it back in.

Whether applying directly from the product or melting it with your fingers, it provides ample hydration wherever you need it. It's non-sticky and instantly melts into the skin, maintaining long-lasting moisture. Unlike other multi-balms that can feel overly rich or nourishing, this one offers just the right amount of hydration without any discomfort during daily activities. I love using it as a makeup prep on areas prone to flaking like around the eyes and mouth. It doesn't cause pilling or sliding, and there's no heavy feeling, making it a go-to for flawless makeup application!
ConsThe packaging is a bit inconvenient. It doesn't slide or close smoothly, and if you close it incorrectly, it looks like it could easily get contaminated. As someone with longer nails, I found the slide-open packaging particularly troublesome. I think a jar-type container would have been a better choice.
TipI'm prone to inflammation from dryness on my neck and behind my ears, so I keep this in my purse and apply it frequently to those areas. It's so much more convenient than carrying around an emulsion. The ease of quickly swiping on this multi-balm is what I love most about it!

It's too big for lips but perfect for body use. It's ideal for dry areas like the back of hands, knees, and elbows. The texture is neither too thick nor too runny, so it glides on easily. As someone with atopic skin prone to psoriasis in transitional seasons and winter, I love its portability for frequent application when my skin feels dry. The eco-friendly paper packaging is also appealing.
ConsYou need to be careful to apply small amounts at a time, and it's a bit tricky to put any leftover product back in. However, these minor inconveniences don't significantly impact the overall user experience.
TipApplying it to your heels before bed and wearing socks really helps reduce dead skin cells.
