I stumbled upon this unique product while browsing Hwahae. My usual multi-balm from H* was either discontinued or out of stock, so I decided to try this eco-friendly alternative. I didn't have high expectations, but I'm pleasantly surprised by both its ingredients and effectiveness. It's impressively hydrating, long-lasting, and absorbs well. As many others have mentioned, I'm concerned about potential issues. What if it gets squished while I'm carrying it around? What if it gets wet? What if I accidentally push too hard and can't properly close it? - ji********Oily SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 17, 2024
☝ A lip balm that enhances natural lip color for all genders It gives a truly natural color payoff. In my opinion, it seems to have a warm undertone, but as time passes, it maintains a healthy-looking tint that makes your lips look naturally flushed, making it comfortable for men to use as well. I have extremely dry, sensitive lips that tend to flake and bleed when I use tinted lip balms, often feeling no hydration. However, the Raum Balm is incredibly comfortable to apply, calms any dead skin cells, and I absolutely love it. ☝ Beautifully designed and eco-friendly packaging This is the first time I've encountered a lip balm in paper packaging, which I first saw with Monage. The realistic images of endangered animals printed on it are so pretty and cute. I'm very satisfied with the packaging as it perfectly reflects Monage's brand image of environmental consciousness. Moreover, it has a unique push-up design that you don't see in other lip balms! While it might be slightly inconvenient to push it back down, I think this minor inconvenience is worth it for the sake of the environment. ☝ Light and refreshing feel As someone who applies lip balm at every opportunity, I tend to shy away from heavy formulas. Especially when drinking coffee or other beverages after application, heavier balms can feel greasy and uncomfortable. Monage, however, has a light feel that doesn't bother me much when eating or drinking, making it easy to use in various situations. There are no downsides! While the all-paper product might be slightly inconvenient when applying and storing, I believe we should accept this minor inconvenience for the sake of the environment! It's even difficult to consider this a downside, but I'm mentioning it here since I need to write something in the 'cons' section. - al***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 13, 2024
I thought the color payoff might be weak, but it's actually quite nice. It feels lightweight when applied. The paper packaging is a bit disappointing, but I think I'll get used to it. - ju*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2024
The texture is quite firm, which makes it easy to apply without being too soft. It's not so hard that it's difficult to get color payoff or uncomfortable to use. Despite its texture and thickness, it's surprisingly moisturizing without being overly sticky or greasy, which I really like. It feels comfortable on the lips! Of course, for someone like me whose lips crack even with thick balms in the dead of winter, I'll probably use this more in other seasons than in mid-winter! When swatched on the back of my hand, it appears as a warm orange-rose shade, but on darker skin (like mine, which is about shade 23), it shows up as a beautiful rose tone. I love that it's not overly warm-toned or a color that clashes with my face. It doesn't look too warm or too cool, which can sometimes make my face reject it, but instead, it applies in a really pretty shade. (On me, it does lean slightly warm-toned if I had to be specific.) As someone with dry skin, I find this color beautiful as a blush too, so I often use it for quick, simple makeup looks (like when I'm heading to work). The packaging is paper, which might be hit or miss for some, but I absolutely love it. I like how it shows signs of use, indicating it's a product I cherish (I generally enjoy using things for a long time), and I appreciate that it's less burdensome on the environment after I've finished using it. The scent is not exactly unscented, but rather has a slight raw ingredient smell. However, once applied to the lips, you don't really notice any fragrance or taste, so it didn't bother me at all. The grip feel is great, and it's not too inconvenient to use, so I've been using it well. If you place your second finger on the height adjustment area and hold the body with your thumb and middle finger, you can apply it easily even if you press a bit harder. And honestly, I thought the lip balm might be difficult to apply because it's larger than regular lip balms, but the slightly concave center makes it really easy to follow the contours of your lips. One slightly tricky aspect was that initially, when applied to the lips, the formula doesn't glide on smoothly like a typical lip balm. Instead, it kind of sits on the lips in pieces, almost like it's breaking apart, before settling. So, it might be better to smooth it out on the back of your hand a few times to soften it before applying it to your lips. As for staining... given that it's paper, the best way to keep it clean is to wipe it off immediately if it gets stained (same goes for tints). That seems to be the most effective way to maintain it! Personally, I haven't found it to be a concern so far! - as********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2024
-- Advantages -- 1. Great for sensitive skin - no irritation or itching. 2. Small, cute container makes it perfect for carrying around or traveling. 3. The color isn't too intense, ideal for a natural makeup look. 4. Works well as a cheek tint too. 5. Doesn't feel greasy on cheeks or lips, which is comfortable and pleasant. -- Disadvantages -- 1. Applies a bit crumbly like a lipstick, which can be inconvenient. 2. Being a lip balm, it's challenging to apply at an angle on the lips. 3. The product can sometimes fully come out if not careful when twisting up. 4. Doesn't stain well, so frequent reapplication is necessary. 5. The paper packaging gets dirty quickly when the white paper comes into contact with the product. - ei******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 12, 2024
Texture: It's on the firmer side, which is great as it doesn't melt easily, but it glides on smoothly when applied to the lips. Ingredients: Absolutely fantastic! No irritation, which is wonderful! Feel: It's gentle, non-irritating, and adheres to the lips with a thin, lightweight feel. Color: A subtle vermilion shade. While it's vermilion, it's not an obstinate hue, but rather one that naturally blends with your complexion. That's why even I, with a light undertone, can wear it effortlessly for a casual, put-together look. Shine: As expected, it's not excessive but natural, with a very subtle glow. I absolutely love it! Hydration: True to its multi-balm nature, it excels in moisturizing. Even with a thin application, you can feel the comfortable hydration. Amount: The quantity is incredibly generous! I've included a photo comparing it to regular lip balms so you can see the difference. Vegan & Eco-friendly: Vegan ingredients and an environmentally friendly container! Let's take care of our planet! While the eco-friendly ingredients and packaging design are great, there are a few minor inconveniences to be aware of. When opening and closing the lid, or pushing up the product, you need to be careful not to smudge the contents. Also, given that it's made of paper, it feels a bit risky to carry around, so I tend to keep it in a designated spot. - si****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 7, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The pigmentation builds up nicely without needing multiple layers. It's pleasantly moisturizing without feeling slippery. While the scent isn't particularly great, it's not bothersome either. Since it's made of paper, it got dirty quickly after opening and handling it. The push-up mechanism from the bottom is also difficult to control. For someone like me who's rough with products, I'm afraid it'll become tattered before I even use half of it. While I appreciate the eco-friendly approach, the inconvenience in use means I probably won't repurchase. - go**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 5, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My skin type is super sensitive with excess oil and severe deep dryness. Ingredients that work well for me: Centella Asiatica extract Ingredients that don't suit me: Tea Tree I often use tints as blushers. The reason being, it matches the color of my lips and cheeks, and tints are more hydrating than powder blushers. When used as a blush, tints give a subtle Inner Glow that I love. So when I saw this Monage Multi-Balm Raum Balm, I thought it would be perfect for travel since it's designed as a 'multi' balm. After trying it, I'm impressed with how well it applies color. I didn't expect much from the shade, but it turns out to be so natural - exactly my style! I have a cool complexion, and this color shows up as a soft orange tone on me, as you can see in the photo. Usually, I'm not fond of orange hues, but this one blends beautifully with my natural skin tone. These days, I don't even use a separate tint - I finish both my blusher and lip color with just this! Recommended for: Those who want to simplify their routine with one product for lips and cheeks! Anyone looking for a color payoff between vibrant and subtle! I'll definitely repurchase this, no doubt about it! If I had to point out a downside... well, even if I really think hard, I can't find any! If you apply this product as a blusher over a matte base, it gives a subtle glow! For a dewy base, apply this product over a thin layer of foundation, and you've got the perfect no-makeup makeup look! - el*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 5, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The packaging is incredibly inconvenient to use. It's not a twist-up lip balm, but one you have to push up from the bottom. The formula is as hard as a crayon, and the edges of the balm are raised, so it always breaks when applied, leaving chunks of product stuck to your lips. No matter how good the product might be, the inconvenience makes me reluctant to use it. - wj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 5, 2024Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

It's moisturizing with a pleasant scent, making it perfect for daily use. As someone with cool undertones, I was initially wary of red lip balms, but this one doesn't look out of place and gives a natural, healthy-looking flush. While the packaging is cute and portable, as many reviews point out, the case and lip balm holder are made of paper material, which gradually becomes messy with use. When applied to chapped lips, it seemed to calm and smooth out the dead skin cells. I found it worked well when reapplied frequently, especially when I felt a slight dryness.
