While the product looks appealing, it causes an immediate burning sensation upon application. The overall feeling is one of intense tingling and discomfort. I'm used to some sensitivity with brightening products, but this one feels exceptionally irritating. It's so harsh that even my eyes sting.

I bought it because it was cheap, but aside from its pretty appearance, everything else about it is disappointing. Personally, I'd recommend avoiding all of Skinfood's Food Masks. Among them, the rice and lemon varieties are particularly irritating for me. The rich finish seems to trigger blemishes, and I'm skeptical about its brightening effects. In my opinion, this is definitely one to skip.

I love how each variety of Skinfood Food Masks has its own unique scent and texture. The Lemon Dill Butter one has a lovely, subtle lemon fragrance. Its texture is unlike any I've tried before - it's a bit on the drier side with a slightly grainy consistency. But don't let that fool you! After using it, my skin feels wonderfully hydrated and refreshed.

Mixing it with aloe soothing gel can increase the moisturizing effect.
