It applies moisturizing and gives quite a glow! It subtly brightens your complexion, which is perfect for those days when you don't want to wear makeup but still want to avoid looking dull. There's a cosmetic scent, but I didn't find it bothersome.
ConsMy face felt a bit warm after application, so I couldn't test it extensively. The sensation seemed to subside after a few minutes, and while it didn't cause any blemishes, I used it intermittently just to be safe. It felt like it didn't fully absorb into my skin. I think it's best used alone, as applying cushion foundation over it didn't work well for me.
TipI found it works great for evening out the skin tone on my neck!

The color isn't chalky white, but looks natural. It doesn't emphasize pores and provides some coverage, though not complete. It's a product that functions well as a base. I was worried it might be too oily because of its moisturizing properties, but it wasn't as rich as I expected. The ingredients are also good.
ConsYou need to squeeze out and apply small amounts at a time. If you apply too much, it can pill like dead skin cells, so I recommend applying it in thin layers, allowing each to absorb. Applying too much at once can make it sit on top of the skin. When used alone, it may look cakey and show signs of pilling, so you might need to layer something on top. Also, it's a bit pricey to pay full price. It might be worth buying during a sale.
TipIt's better to mix it with other products or set it with powder rather than using it alone. Even then, patting it in with a puff seems to help it blend better and reduce the chance of it sitting on top of the skin.

If you're looking for brightening, evening out your complexion, achieving a glowy skin look, hydration, and minimizing the appearance of pores, this product is quite impressive. (Come to think of it, these are the ideal conditions for a makeup base!) The texture is a slightly runny, elastic cream that applies smoothly without any stiffness, and its key feature is giving your skin a beautiful glow. The scent is in the fresh category. While I personally prefer unscented products, this one has such a subtle fragrance that it didn't bother me at all. Surprisingly, it does an excellent job of concealing pores, which wasn't even advertised as a main feature. I'd say it performs better than many products specifically marketed as pore primers.
ConsThe downside is that I had intended to use this product alone as both sunscreen and makeup base. However, when I applied the recommended amount for sunscreen (0.8 grams, which is quite a lot), it didn't adhere well to my skin and sat on top. (I had to pat it in with a polyurethane puff to blend it.) But this might vary from person to person. When my friend tried the same amount over the same skincare products, it absorbed beautifully without sitting on top like it did for me. For those who typically struggle with base makeup, foundation, or cushions not absorbing well (in my case, it's not due to dead skin cells or dryness - my skin just seems to absorb products very slowly), it might be challenging to use this solely as a sunscreen replacement. You may need to reduce the amount and layer it thinly after your regular sunscreen.
TipIf you have skin that's slow to absorb cosmetics, try using half mineral sunscreen and half of this sun base. You'll get sufficient sun protection plus a radiant, beautiful skin finish that you'll be satisfied with.
