I've been using the Hwahae app for quite a while and have won various events, but to be honest, this is the best product I've won so far! Let me tell you why I think so. First, I'm in my early 30s with combination skin that tends to be oily in summer and dry in winter, leaning towards combination dehydrated skin. I also tend to get some redness on my face when it's hot. Before using this product, my skin was in a state where no matter what I applied, my cheeks were dry and products weren't absorbing well. I was barely surviving with daily mask routines. In this condition, I applied my usual toner and essence, followed by this product, and wow! It was cooling and absorbed incredibly well! I remember involuntarily saying 'This is amazing!' right after applying it. Usually, products with high oil content feel heavy and can cause blemishes, making me uncomfortable. However, this product absorbs coolly and has almost no oiliness, so I didn't mind applying it multiple times. Personally, I think it's a hydrating cream that wouldn't be burdensome even in summer. I've finally found a decent moisturizer after a long time. That's why I think I'll repurchase it in the future!
ConsOne slight downside is that because this product has very little oil content, after some time when the cream dries, my cheeks feel a bit dry. That part was just a tiny bit disappointing.
TipAfter applying this cream, it might be good to finish with another cream that has good moisturizing properties! Also, as I mentioned above, since it's a product with high hydration, there's not much worry about blemishes, and it's good for layering multiple times, so personally, I found it quite comfortable to use.

I was initially concerned that the Goodal Houttuynia Cordata Hyaluronic Cream might be too light compared to my usual rich, heavy creams. However, I've found it has its own pros and cons. It's definitely lighter than oil-based creams, but doesn't lack in hydration. While my skin's surface feels slightly dry upon waking, I'm not sure if this is truly a disadvantage compared to heavier creams. The lower oil content seems to result in less sebum production and fewer blemishes, possibly due to not clogging pores. I've settled on a routine of toner, serum, Goodal cream, and a tiny bit of a heavier cream as a final layer. I plan to repurchase as it's become a staple in my routine. The Houttuynia Cordata appears to have a significant soothing effect, helping with deep dryness in hot environments.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, in the depths of winter, the level of hydration is such that the skin's surface feels slightly dry upon waking. I apply a very thin layer of a richer cream on top, but using a facial oil could also work well.
TipFor the final step, I recommend adding a product that can provide hydration like a protective coating.

There's a slight warming sensation, but it's more of a refreshing cooling effect than heat. As someone with sensitive skin, I'm quite satisfied since it didn't cause any flare-ups or breakouts. Scent: It's not unscented, but the fragrance is so subtle you might not even notice it while applying. There's a very faint forest or herbal scent. Texture: It has that classic soothing cream consistency we're familiar with. It's on the thicker side. Absorption isn't particularly fast, but rather average.
ConsI tried using this soothing cream while doing gua sha massage, and it felt like it dried quickly rather than truly absorbing. When applied, there's a slight feeling of it sitting on top of the skin rather than sinking in, but not enough to be bothersome. For those with combination dehydrated skin, I'd recommend this as a cream for summer use.
