What I love about this serum-type product is that it doesn't leave that slick residue. It absorbs well and quickly too! Each pump dispenses enough product to cover an entire arm, which is great. Another plus is the generous volume, so you can use it liberally without worrying about running out. Even though it's almost summer and I tend to skip body emulsions, I find myself reaching for this serum regularly! The scent is somewhat reminiscent of men's cologne, which I'm not a fan of. It's not subtle either - it's quite strong. Those with fragrance sensitivities might want to give this extra consideration before purchasing. When my skin feels super dehydrated, I layer both the serum and a body emulsion - it leaves my skin incredibly moisturized! The texture is fantastic - it's like a thin serum that applies beautifully. It transforms into an emulsion-like consistency, spreading smoothly and feeling moisturizing. As for the scent, I didn't find it unpleasant. Initially, there's a strong woody aroma, but I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, so it didn't bother me. After application, there's an immediate fresh feeling. At first, it feels a bit rich, then becomes lighter. I felt it needed a bit more hydration, so I layered an emulsion on top. Sometimes when I'm lazy, I use it alone, which should be sufficient for most people. This was my first time trying a body serum, and I'm pleased to say it didn't cause any tingling or irritation. Body emulsions can be too light, and body oils too heavy, but this body serum seems to combine the best of both worlds. Fragrance: If you're a fan of citrus scents, you'll love this licorice-like aroma! Massaging with this is like a healing session! Not recommended for dry skin: Even when I used it in summer, it felt lacking in hydration, so I had to apply multiple layers. It would be even more insufficient in winter... Skin type: My whole body is dry Why I tried this product: After I started shaving my arms, I kept getting these little sebum plugs that would pop out when squeezed. Exfoliating helped a bit, but I always had to moisturize after, and when I applied emulsion, it got worse again. But not exfoliating led to the same result.. No matter what emulsion I used, they kept appearing, and as you can see in the photo, squeezing left scars. I was looking for a body essence, but I heard Skinfood's was too oily, so I hesitated to try it. Then I won this product in an event! To cut to the chase! It's super comfortable to use all over the body even in summer. While it didn't completely prevent blemishes on my arms, it was more comfortable than emulsion and I could apply it generously without issues. As you can see in the photo, the marks have faded a lot and you can barely see any sebum plugs! By stopping the emulsion and finding a different moisturizing alternative, my blemishes have reduced significantly, and I'm finally seeing the effects of the ointment I've been using for a while ㅋㅋㅜㅜ - Texture It feels like a thin serum! The hydration is just right, and I even apply it to my feet and hands. - Absorption It absorbs quickly into my skin with no residue at all. Even though my body is dry, I don't get extreme flakiness like some others with very dry skin. I only get a bit of white flaking if I don't use emulsion for a few days.. So it might absorb well for that reason, but it's not sticky or viscous at all. - Scent I like it. It fades quickly anyway and it's a subtle fragrance, so even those sensitive to scents can use it. - I intend to purchase it. If I run out, I think I'll miss how it feels when I use it. However, in summer, my sebum production increases, leading to blemishes if I moisturize, but dryness and tightness if I don't. It was really stressful. But this serum exceeded my expectations! It's incredibly hydrating with a unique texture that's thicker than emulsions or creams, yet applies smoothly. It absorbs quickly without feeling heavy, making it perfect for mornings! I used to skip morning application due to long absorption times, but this one is fast-absorbing and doesn't leave any residue, making it super convenient. Now, my routine is body mist + body serum in the morning, and I add targeted oil application in the evening. I've noticed my rough, dark areas like knees and elbows becoming softer and brighter. I've been focusing on treating keratosis pilaris recently, and this serum seems to be enhancing the effects. The scent has a slight dermo-brand characteristic, but it's subtle and fades quickly, not bothersome at all. The only downside is that it doesn't deeply hydrate already thickened skin or penetrate to the deeper layers. Despite this, it's still a great product for everyday use without any burden.
