It has a slightly thick and creamy texture. This product is great as a final step in your skincare routine. After application, it feels like it dries and sets, which was a bit disappointing for those with dry skin. However, when mixed with other hydrating products or cica bio creams, it worked really well. - sa******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Skin type: Combination with oily T-zone and normal-to-dry cheeks, slight redness on cheeks, and occasionally sensitive skin prone to allergic reactions My usually calm skin suddenly flared up with allergies, so I stopped using all my functional skincare products and switched to gentle ones only. I had stocked up on the Dermafactory Barrier Cream earlier this year and started using it after my skin freaked out. It's definitely gentle. While other products can cause tingling sensations right from the toner stage if used incorrectly, thankfully this one doesn't cause such reactions. However, even though it's summer, I feel a slight dryness on my cheeks, so I apply an additional layer of a richer cream. I think those with oily skin will be satisfied with this! For me, it might be too dry for autumn and winter use, so I'll probably only use it in summer. As for whether it strengthens the skin barrier as its name suggests, I can't really tell since my skin is in such a sensitive state right now. But I'm just grateful that it doesn't cause any tingling or itching when applied. I hope they come out with a more hydrating version that can be used during the drier seasons too. While it's fine for my oily T-zone, I feel a slight dryness on my cheeks. Personally, I found it works better when paired with non-sticky serums or essences in the previous skincare steps. - ki********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 11, 2025
Before diving into my review: This is my personal experience after using this cosmetic product. Everyone's skin may react differently, so please consider various reviews before making a decision. Except for Hwahae Testers and sponsored reviews, all my reviews are based on products I've purchased with my own money. <<<<<<< Let me introduce my skin type >>>>>>> ▪️ Redness on cheeks (extremely sensitive) ▪️ Dry U-zone (severely dry skin) ▪️ Slightly oily T-zone (forehead, nose area) + uneven texture ▪️ Overall sensitive skin with contact dermatitis ▪️ Eczema in folded areas (not on face) The Dermafactory Skin Barrier Cream has become a reliable shield for my sensitive skin. I highly recommend this product to those with dry skin, frequent blemishes, or redness issues. Especially when your skin feels unstable, applying a generous amount before bed leaves your skin feeling moisturized and soothed in the morning. ▫️ Focuses on skin barrier, calming effect Containing ingredients like beta-sitosterol, cecoliglyposome, and dexpanthenol that support the skin barrier, it really helps calm and protect the skin when it's feeling unstable. It's gentle enough for sensitive skin and can be used without worry even when you're experiencing redness or blemishes. ▫️ Light and fresh texture The lightweight, non-greasy formula spreads easily on the skin, without any stickiness or heaviness, making it easy to reapply. It's suitable for use even in summer without feeling burdensome. ▫️ Vegan certified, fragrance-free, low irritation With no fragrance and vegan certification, it's safe for sensitive skin and even children. The EWG rating is also safe, making it suitable for the whole family. ▫️ Excellent value for money The price is reasonable for the amount you get, and one container lasts a long time, making it economical. << Personal drawbacks after using this product >> Please remember that everyone's experience with a product can be different! I didn't find any drawbacks with this product! I recommend purchasing this product at the beginning of the month when there are often more discounts available. - yo********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 9, 2025
Skin type: Dry, Sensitive Usage period: About two months * It's great that all skin types can use this product. Those with dry skin might find it a bit lacking in hydration, but it's just right for summer. * If you apply it generously before bed, your skin feels moisturized the next morning. It allows you to focus solely on caring for your skin barrier. * On days when your skin feels super sensitive, applying just this cream can help soothe it. * Being fragrance-free, those who are sensitive to scents will likely be satisfied. If you're looking for more functional benefits, you might want to add other products to your routine. - aa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 9, 2025
When your skin is feeling sensitive, applying a generous layer of this cream helps soothe it by the next morning. It's also fantastic for hydration. As it's a barrier cream, it feels a bit thick on the skin. There's also a noticeable rich texture. After using a modeling mask, apply a generous amount before bed, and you'll wake up to beautifully hydrated skin. - d-******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 27, 2025
I love that it uses birch water instead of purified water! It's deeply moisturizing without feeling greasy, which makes it perfect to use before makeup. While other ceramide or cica creams make my face feel heavy, itchy, and oily, this one doesn't - so I apply it happily. I couldn't use some famous creams from other brands, but this one works great for me. For those with dry skin, it might not be enough in winter, but it's versatile enough to use from spring through early winter. This moisturizer seems to strike a nice balance between hydration and lightweight feel. It's particularly good for those who find traditional rich creams too heavy. The use of birch water adds a unique touch that may contribute to its skin-friendly formula. It appears to be a great option for combination dehydrated skin types or those looking for a moisturizer that works well under makeup. However, very dry skin types might need something more intensive during the coldest months. - sh******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 24, 2025
The texture is neither too oily nor too thick, keeping your skin moisturized all day long. After using La Roche-Posay Cicaplast for a while, I switched to this, and I'm satisfied with how it absorbs, its price, and its formulation. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but if you're expecting something with a richer feel, it might seem more like a hydrating cream to you. - ji**********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMay 16, 2025
This applies smoothly without being sticky. It seems lightweight, but when I wake up in the morning, it remains moisturized. I used to use Atoderm cream due to sensitivity and extreme dryness, but I switched to this for the summer because it was too hot, and I'm satisfied with it. It feels a bit light, so it's not enough for the winter. It would be better if it were more moisturizing to apply even in the winter - lo*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 8, 2025
It's great because it's reliable. If you believe that a good cosmetic product is one that doesn't cause problems rather than creating dramatic changes, then this is worth recommending. It's suitable for dry skin types to use moderately even in summer. Not recommended for standalone use in winter. The formula is better suited for mixing with other products. - cw****Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2025
It's moisturizing enough to use even in the dead of winter. The hydration lasts for a long time. There's also plenty of product, so you can use it generously without worry. If it gets in your eyes, it stings quite badly. Since it's so moisturizing, it can feel a bit sticky, which might attract some dust.
