But when I heard about the new pink version of the Amelie Powder, I just had to try it. Highly recommended for dry skin types as a summer powder! Despite having extremely dry skin and typically avoiding matte looks (even in summer I prefer a dewy finish), the Amelie Powder surprised me. It has fine shimmer particles that blend seamlessly with my moisturizing base, creating a natural glow rather than a flat, matte appearance. Perfect for those who find bold highlighters overwhelming! At first application, the effect wasn't immediately noticeable. However, in natural light, I could see a subtle pink beam. It's not flashy or over-the-top; instead, the fine particles seem to meld with the skin, giving it a natural, healthy glow as if you just have great skin.
ConsThe staying power isn't particularly impressive, so it might be challenging for those with oily skin to use during the summer months.

It somewhat corrects large pores and skin texture (though not completely) and enhances makeup longevity. - I accidentally dropped it from waist height once, and it didn't break, so it seems sturdier than expected?
Cons- The smooth pink tint doesn't last very long. - Expensive price point. You can buy foundation cushions for around $20 when on sale, so hesitating to purchase this powder at this price if it's not discounted.
TipWhile you can apply it beautifully with the included puff, using a brush allows for a wider and lighter application. (Personally, I found using a brush more satisfying for skin appearance and finish.)

Excited to try this, I applied it with a brush. After layering it a few times, it seemed to build up nicely. I hadn't looked closely at the powder before using it, but while doing my makeup, I noticed a subtle glow. Upon closer inspection, I realized it had fine shimmer particles! I loved that it wasn't overwhelming. Just remember, if you apply too much, the entire area might become luminous, so moderation is key for the best result.
ConsThe powder didn't seem to have long-lasting staying power. By the time I got home, there was only a bit of shimmer left, and it felt like my skin's natural oils were coming through. One downside was that there's no separate compartment for the puff, so you have to place it directly on the product. Because of this, I'd recommend using a brush when applying it at home.
TipThis would be great to use when you want just the right amount of subtle shimmer, not too much!
