  Skin type: Very dry / Used for over a month Compared to regular foam cleansers, this one definitely helps with dead skin cell removal, which noticeably reduced my blemishes! It's not too harsh for morning use, so I've been using it daily without issues. Surprisingly, it even removed makeup effectively without needing a separate remover, leaving my skin feeling clean with no residue.

  When my skin was extremely sensitive due to multiple allergies, it didn't provide any soothing effects.   I was excited about the gelato texture, and it really delivered with its rich consistency and excellent cleansing power! It removed almost all makeup residue (except mascara, which I removed with an eye makeup remover first). With consistent use, I noticed my blackheads seemed to fade a bit. The tea tree capsules made my skin feel extra refreshed. I loved that I could do a mask and cleanse at the same time! The scrub effect was noticeable - my skin felt noticeably smoother after use. After cleansing and applying my skincare routine, my skin definitely looked improved. I was intrigued by claims that it has a gelato-like texture and is great for removing impurities, dead skin cells, blackheads, whiteheads, and excess oil from pores. That's why I applied to be a Hwahae Tester! I used a cleansing water for my first cleanse, then without adding extra water, I scooped out an appropriate amount with a spatula and melted it onto different areas of my face. Texture: The balm type makes it great for rolling and it melts easily into the skin with gentle massaging. It also has small particles for exfoliation. Scent: It has a refreshing tea tree scent, which is good for blemishes. The finish feels clean and fresh. Cleansing effectiveness: Isn't this the most important aspect of cleansing? After my first cleanse with water, I rolled this on and it removed all remaining impurities, leaving my skin thoroughly cleansed. I was super stressed about some blemishes that were starting to surface, but whether it was this product or not, they disappeared after just two days of use. I'm not sure about other benefits, but for acne-prone skin, this seems to be top-notch.

I think the generous amount of granules makes it excellent for exfoliating dead skin cells. - Lather production It produces a good lather even with a small amount. If used solely for cleansing, it seems like it would last a very long time. The feeling when massaging it all over the face is pleasant. - Texture As emphasized by its gelato-like texture, it has a delightfully bouncy consistency. It's great for applying as a mask. - Natural fragrance I'm usually sensitive to artificial scents, but I was able to use this without any discomfort.

  Texture: I was surprised to find it's a balm-like consistency when scooped out with the included spoon, not the typical tube-type cleanser I expected. For a moment I thought, 'Is this a cleansing balm instead of a foam?' But after rubbing it on my hand, I realized 'It is indeed a cleansing foam!' The balm-like texture melts slightly with body heat, transforming into a more typical cleanser consistency, so it wasn't inconvenient to use. Scent: It has the familiar tea tree scent. While not overpowering, it's noticeable enough that those who prefer unscented products might have mixed feelings. During cleansing: The product contains small granules, likely for exfoliation. They didn't feel harsh on my hands, but I noticed a slight tingling sensation when applying to my face. This might feel uncomfortable for those with sensitive skin. It's not a squeaky-clean type of cleanser. There's a slight slippery feeling even after rinsing with water. I personally don't prefer this residual feeling, but it could be great for those with very dry skin! After cleansing: Perhaps because it doesn't leave a squeaky-clean finish, my face didn't feel dry or tight afterwards. And my skin felt incredibly soft! The exfoliating granules seem to have effectively removed dead skin cells. The bothersome whiteheads on my nose disappeared completely, making me feel like I'd just had a professional peel!

  For extremely sensitive skin with severe atopic dermatitis and combination dehydrated skin that's closer to oily, this balm-to-foam cleanser is recommended for those who can't use cleansing balms due to clogged pores or cleansing gels and milks due to poor cleansing effectiveness. Surprisingly, the physical exfoliation from the particles causes more irritation than chemical irritation from the ingredients. The texture feels like a mix between a scrub mask and a rich cleansing balm, with large walnut powder particles that can be quite harsh for super sensitive skin when rubbing. To reduce irritation, you need to dilute it with plenty of water and roll it as foam, but this decreases its cleansing power to the point where it might not even remove sunscreen. For sensitive skin, it's best to focus on using it only on the nose and chin areas. While it may not visibly improve whiteheads and blackheads, it definitely smooths out skin texture. What's unexpected is that despite being a cleanser focused on blemish care, it leaves the skin feeling hydrated. Usually, alkaline foam cleansers packed with exfoliating ingredients strip away all oil and moisture, making the skin even drier, or leave a film that interferes with skincare absorption. TLS doesn't have these issues, which is its standout feature. On the flip side, oily skin types might find it less satisfying in summer due to the lack of a squeaky-clean finish. Above all, while it looks like a cleansing balm, it doesn't contain 'cetyl ethylhexanoate', an ingredient typically used to create the heavy, slippery texture of cleansing balms. This means it doesn't feel like it's clogging pores. Even for sensitive skin, there's a definite need for sebum care in summer, and this cleanser is perfect when you don't want to use pore-clogging cleansing oils or balms, and cleansing milks feel too moisturizing and not cleansing enough.

  Cons

  The product claims to work as both a pack and cleanser, but for skin extremely sensitive to salicylic acid, leaving it on for several minutes like a pack causes tingling and a burning sensation. While this might not be an issue for healthy, thick oily skin, those with sensitive skin should limit use to once a week as a special care treatment. The jar packaging is also disappointing in terms of both convenience and hygiene. While they likely chose this packaging to maintain its identity as a 'pack' that should be applied with a spatula, a tube type would have been much better.

Usage Period: About a week Packaging: Clean and nice, but the bottom part tends to fall off. Benefits: Combines pack and cleansing in one step. Gentle exfoliation with anti-inflammatory ingredients and four types of acids. Texture: Elastic yet soft Cleansing Effectiveness: It cleanses well. I usually don't wear BB cream or foundation, just two layers of sunscreen. Before, I used a low pH cleansing gel, which required double cleansing - first with oil, then with the gel. This product removes everything in one go, which is great. However, the walnut shell powder can be a bit harsh, and the tea tree stings on areas with blemishes. Post-Cleanse Hydration: More hydrating than expected. I was worried it might be extremely drying or sensitizing due to the tea tree and acid ingredients, but it's surprisingly moisturizing and doesn't irritate my skin. What I Liked: 1.
