It has a lightweight consistency that feels hydrating. I'd recommend this for those with dry skin. It feels like it's just sitting on top of the skin...? It doesn't seem to absorb well, and I think it might not suit those with oily skin. As for the claim about reducing pores, I'm not convinced. The product appears to have different effects depending on skin type. While it provides hydration for dry skin, it may not be ideal for oily skin types due to poor absorption. The pore-reducing claim seems questionable based on this user's experience. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 23, 2025
After using this for two months, followed by a moisturizer and sunstick, then removing it with oil and doing my cleansing routine at home, I've been getting a lot of compliments lately about my skin looking better and brighter! I was worried because I have combination dehydrated skin, but I find it surprisingly lightweight with almost no rich feeling. While it claims to care for pores, I haven't noticed much difference in that area. I guess I'll have to keep working hard with my cleansing oil separately for that. You only need to apply a very thin layer, just enough so there's no white cast visible, before putting on your other skincare products. Think of it like applying eye cream - a tiny dot on each cheek and forehead, then the same on your nose, and spread it to the untreated T-zone and chin. Many reviews mentioning blemishes seem to be from those who applied too much. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 8, 2025
A brightening moisturizer for nighttime use What convinced me to buy this product after seeing it advertised on social media was that you don't need to wash it off after applying it at night. It's a big plus that you can sleep with this brightening moisturizer on, unlike regular skincare products, without clogging your pores and potentially even seeing improvement. Application and natural brightening effect It has an emulsion-like texture that might feel a bit shiny at first, but it absorbs quickly. I like how it naturally evens out my skin tone. Pore and complexion improvement? I've been using it for almost 3 weeks now, but I haven't been checking my skin daily. So far, I haven't noticed any dramatic improvements. I have two bottles, so I'll keep using it consistently for now. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 5, 2025
Unlike other brightening creams, this one doesn't feel stiff and provides excellent hydration. It also offers a natural brightening effect that evens skin tone. While it claims to refine pores, I'm not sure about that aspect. I noticed a slight increase in sebum production. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2025
My skin type: Combination dehydrated with excess oil and large pores. Only get inflamed blemishes when out in nature, usually just have a lot of sebum and small bumps. Texture: Moderately thick, typical cream consistency. The tube packaging made it convenient to squeeze out. However, I was surprised when I first dispensed it - the color was slightly beige, reminiscent of a brightening moisturizer or tinted sunscreen. I wondered, 'Am I supposed to sleep with this on? Won't it clog my pores?' (Especially since it contains one pore-clogging ingredient) Application: Absorbs more lightly than expected. It's absorbed like a hydrating cream without any stickiness. I originally tried this to address the slight dryness I felt after using an emulsion, and it met my needs perfectly. It also layers well under makeup without pilling. While many users reported quick oil production, I didn't experience this issue. I had zero expectations for pore improvement, and sure enough, it had no effect on my pores! - Hwahae UserOily SkinApr 11, 2025
Here's my honest review after using this product religiously every morning and night for two weeks. The first photo shows my skin before use, and the second is after. Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin Texture: It's more like a super hydrating emulsion rather than a typical moisturizer. I'd say it feels like 20% brightening cream and 80% hydrating cream. Brightening effect: Definitely noticed a difference! The 'after' photo looks brighter due to different lighting (obviously, two weeks of use won't change your ethnicity...). While the effect isn't as dramatic as the photo suggests, my complexion certainly appears brighter. Gentle formula! They said you could apply it before bed, and it's absolutely true! I used it every night for two weeks without any issues. It also functions well as a hydrating cream. I thought it would just be a moisturizing brightening cream, but it really delivers on both brightening and hydration! Pores... did they shrink? I didn't notice any improvement in pore appearance. I've included photos, so you can judge for yourself. This is why I'm deducting one star. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a hydrating cream that also tackles brightening! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
This review is based on personal experience and subjective judgment, while still recording factual information. Skin tone: Spring Warm Light / Summer Cool Light Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin / Blemishes / Uneven texture / Red scars • Texture Opaque, typical cream consistency. Spreads thinly and moisturizes with a small amount. When applied, it feels like an oil layer forms on top rather than hydration. • Application Feels like applying a sun essence. Finishes with a slight glow due to the oil layer on top. However, it feels like it's just adding an oil layer on top without deeply hydrating in previous skincare steps. This creates a sensation of the product sitting heavily on the skin. • Scent Has a slight cool, earthy scent typical of cica and madecassoside-based skincare products. • Complexion improvement Rather than noticeably reducing dark spots or freckles, it gives a natural Inner Glow brightening effect. • Pore improvement Disappointing lack of noticeable pore-refining effects. The rich texture seemed to increase sebum production, requiring more diligent care for dead skin cells and oil control. • Dead skin cells and sebum As mentioned earlier, the oily finish of the product seemed to lead to sebum buildup over time. Not recommended for oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
I have sensitive combination skin. I won this in a free giveaway and tried it out. While it didn't seem to reduce my pores as much as I expected, I noticed my blemishes have slightly diminished. There wasn't much difference in my pores compared to before. I stopped using my previous pore serum and used only this, but I feel like my pores actually got a bit larger. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2025
I've been using this product for about 10 days now! While it does provide some immediate brightening upon application, the real magic happens overnight. When I wake up the next morning, my complexion looks noticeably brighter - I'd say my skin tone appears about half a shade lighter! Of course, it's not permanent, but it doesn't cause any blemishes and provides good hydration. I think it's a great product for achieving that natural, bare-faced glow! To be honest, I didn't see any effects on my pores. It feels like just an average, unremarkable product. Also, I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but after using this product and sleeping, when I only washed my face with water in the morning instead of using a foam cleanser, my makeup didn't seem to apply as well. I'm not sure if it's because of some residual oil causing darkening, but on days when my friends commented that my skin looked particularly dark, I realized I hadn't used a foam cleanser. This never happened with other creams I've used! But please keep in mind this is just my subjective experience. Since it's a bit rich, it's essential to control the amount you use! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2025
My skin is combination dehydrated! I experience deep dryness and recently developed a few inflammatory blemishes, making my skin sensitive and flushed. Here are my quick thoughts after using the product: - When applied, there's a slight brightening effect, but it's not as noticeable as using a traditional brightening moisturizer. However, it seems decent as a daily whitening cream for consistent use. - Looking at the product details, it's designed to improve pigmentation in pores. It's more specialized for pores rather than overall whitening. - During the hand swatch test, it felt moisturizing. However, when applied to the face, there was an immediate rich feeling. Shortly after, a thin oily film remains, leaving a soft touch. For combination dehydrated skin, it might feel a bit dry during seasonal changes but should be fine in midsummer. - It's disappointing that the product title, detailed page, and actual product description all emphasize different functions: tone-up cream, pore pigmentation improvement, and firming enlarged pores, respectively. - As it can still feel deeply dry, you'll need to ensure thorough hydration in your skincare routine before applying this cream.
