- Application: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First off, it's not too thick and is rather fluid for a cream. This makes it spread very smoothly, though it absorbs ever so slightly slower. After application, it doesn't feel oily, but you can definitely sense a protective layer on your skin. - Hydration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You might expect a brightening moisturizer to dry out your skin, but I hardly noticed any dryness with this one. It provides amazing hydration! - Brightening effect: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It gives a subtle brightening effect that looks natural. Perfect for when you want to even out your complexion without makeup. Plus, it's great that you can use it before bed too - that's a big advantage. - Blemishes: ⭐️⭐️ I got a bit overzealous and applied too much, which led to some blemishes. It's important to use the right amount... - Long-lasting effects: ⭐️⭐️ I might not have used it long enough to see proper results, but while it does brighten, I'm not sure about its whitening capabilities. - Scent: ⭐️⭐️ The fragrance is a bit off-putting... It's not artificial, but there's a slight mugwort-like smell that I found a bit bothersome. If you're eager for whitening effects, be careful not to apply too much as it can make your skin look overly pale and potentially cause blemishes. I strongly recommend using just the right amount! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 5, 2025
G1. Natural brightening effect Compared to other brands' brightening moisturizers or mineral sunscreens with a white cast, this product provides a very natural brightening effect. Under bright lighting, it's so subtle you might even question if it's there! It gives a feeling of a brighter, more radiant complexion! Since it doesn't make your skin look unnaturally white, it could be great for men too. However, those with skin tones lighter than shade 21 might not notice much of a difference before and after application. Unlike other brightening moisturizers, it feels more like a skincare product meant to improve your complexion over time with consistent use, rather than providing instant whitening. G2. Excellent texture This might be the best-absorbing brightening moisturizer I've tried. It has a light, emulsion-like texture that absorbs well and feels hydrating. The narrow bottle opening allows for easy control of the amount dispensed, despite its fluid consistency. G3. Easy to wash off While most brightening sunscreens or moisturizers require double cleansing, this product seems to wash off almost completely with just water. I found that using a single low-pH foam cleanser was enough to prevent any blemishes. B1. Lack of staying power The easy-to-wash-off feature comes with a trade-off. While it's marketed for both day and night use, it seems more focused on being a 'brightening moisturizer you can sleep in without washing off.' As a result, its staying power isn't very strong. With no sun protection and poor resistance to water and sweat, it might be challenging to use alone during the day, especially in strong sunlight or summer heat. Moreover, it feels quite rich, which was a bit heavy for my oily skin. Although I haven't experienced any blemishes while using it, I'm still cautious due to its rich feel and the pore-clogging potential of shea butter. B2. Small quantity I found online that it's currently available at around 29,800 won for a 50ml 1+1 deal. While this price is reasonable if it continues, the amount is on the smaller side. Given its consistency that encourages liberal application, I might hesitate to purchase at full price. 💡TIPS 1. Recommended for dry skin rather than oily skin 2. Ideal for those looking to improve blemishes and pores through consistent use in their night routine 3. For daytime use, try mixing it with a thicker mineral sunscreen rather than using it alone 4. Recommended for men seeking a subtle brightening moisturizer 5. Not recommended for those with skin tones lighter than shade 21 - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 30, 2025
When I first heard about this product, I was intrigued and curious about how it would look on my skin. I was thrilled to be selected for The Hwahae Testers review program and got the chance to try it out! The absorption is fantastic - I'd give it a perfect score. It feels like applying a high-quality organic sunscreen, while also having the properties of a hydrating moisturizer and a bit of a primer. It doesn't emphasize dry patches or dead skin cells, and there's hardly any pilling. I use this product more as a makeup base rather than for its brightening effects. After sleeping with this product on, I woke up to find my skin feeling incredibly rich. Due to the oiliness, I have to say the brightening effect barely lasted at all.
