I ordered this after seeing an ad on Instagram! It's more hydrating than I expected and adheres to the skin in a thin layer. As soon as you apply it, your skin naturally brightens up! I really notice a brighter complexion in the morning, and I'll keep using it consistently to see if it has any effect on my pores! When you first apply it, it feels a bit like it's sitting on top of the skin. You need to spread it well several times! As someone with dry skin, I find it drying if I use this alone, so I finish by layering it with other products :) I had some small blemishes appear on the first and second day, but they quickly subsided! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 24, 2025
Ice Queen's honest review of her own purchase: The Hwahae Testers were right - you need to apply this in thin layers multiple times for it to really absorb into your skin. The formula gradually brightens your complexion over time. Don't expect instant results from slathering on a thick layer! At first, I thought 'This isn't brightening at all?' But as the product instructions say, it's meant to be applied in multiple thin layers. Initially thinking it wasn't effective, I consistently applied it to my tanned neck. Eventually, I started using it on my face too and ended up repurchasing. I usually use shade 20-19, but with this, I've brightened to about 18-17 while applying. Since it's not a whitening cream, it only creates a subtle brightening effect as it absorbs transparently. Those with blemishes or textured skin should be cautious. (You can see how it brightens by applying a patch - the skin around it will lighten except where the patch is.) I use it both as a makeup-free base and apply it multiple times before bed after sunscreen. (I'm constantly applying it as part of my skincare routine whenever I get a chance) + This is a general tip for brightening skincare, regardless of product: I went from consistently using shade 23 to about 19 through long-term brightening care. Here's my personal method for overall brightening: (Please credit the source if you screenshot or share this) The basics of brightening = good sunscreen + vitamin products + deeply hydrating products. Use this combination consistently every day for a long time while avoiding sun exposure. (Brightening doesn't happen in a day, two days, or even a month - it depends on your skin tone. It's fine to switch between different brightening products, but give it at least a full year, even when changing products.) + To prevent melanin production and for brightening, I live in a dimly lit home and always apply sunscreen generously whether it's night or raining, even indoors. (I reapply sunscreen multiple times when I'm out too.) Any brightening product will only be effective if you follow the above consistently long-term. When choosing brightening products, be aware of whether they're actually brightening your skin or just temporarily making melanin cells flip, causing a temporary whitening effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 13, 2025
- First off, I love how lightweight and thin the formula is, spreading easily and absorbing quickly. It's also fragrance-free, which is a plus. - The instructions suggest layering small amounts, and I'm impressed that even with multiple applications, it absorbs rapidly without any pilling or heavy feeling, leaving my skin moisturized yet matte. - It's comfortable on my combination dehydrated skin, providing hydration without excessive oiliness. - With consistent use, I noticed a significant improvement in just two weeks - my blackheads lightened and my overall complexion became clearer. - Due to its brightening effect, I applied it only at night and layered it more generously. There's nothing particularly negative, but the texture is quite runny compared to regular creams, so sometimes more product comes out than intended when trying to dispense a small amount. Also, while it's marketed as a pore-blurring cream, I'm not sure if it just has a blurring effect or if it actually helps reduce sebum production. I'll need to use it longer to determine that. To enhance its pore-refining effects, I often used it after cleansing with an oil cleanser. This combination seemed to have a synergistic effect in clarifying my complexion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
This review is based on personal experience and subjective judgment, while still recording factual information. Skin tone: Spring Warm Light / Summer Cool Light Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin / Blemishes / Uneven texture / Red scars • Texture Opaque, typical cream consistency. Spreads thinly and moisturizes with a small amount. When applied, it feels like an oil layer forms on top rather than hydration. • Application Feels like applying a sun essence. Finishes with a slight glow due to the oil layer on top. However, it feels like it's just adding an oil layer on top without deeply hydrating in previous skincare steps. This creates a sensation of the product sitting heavily on the skin. • Scent Has a slight cool, earthy scent typical of cica and madecassoside-based skincare products. • Complexion improvement Rather than noticeably reducing dark spots or freckles, it gives a natural Inner Glow brightening effect. • Pore improvement Disappointing lack of noticeable pore-refining effects. The rich texture seemed to increase sebum production, requiring more diligent care for dead skin cells and oil control. • Dead skin cells and sebum As mentioned earlier, the oily finish of the product seemed to lead to sebum buildup over time. Not recommended for oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
After receiving the product, I carefully read reviews before using it since I have sensitive skin! Some people seemed disappointed, expecting it to instantly whiten their skin like a typical brightening moisturizer. However, this product is different - it's designed to minimize pores and brighten your complexion using probiotics, so it's best to use with those effects in mind. Rather than dramatically whitening your skin upon application, this cream works best when applied in thin layers. It provides a natural-looking tone correction, allows you to sleep with it on, and even helps reduce the appearance of pores. I've been using it for two weeks now. My nose area tends to have more noticeable pores, but I've noticed they seem slightly smaller each morning after applying the cream at night. I plan to use up the remaining product and continue seeing results. While there aren't any major drawbacks, the cream is slightly on the richer side. If you apply too much at once, it can leave your skin feeling a bit greasy. It's best to follow the instructions and apply it in thin layers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 11, 2025
I've been using this product for about a week since receiving it! ♡ Texture As someone with oily skin, I don't typically prefer heavy creams. This product has a lightweight texture, as you can see in the photo, and it absorbs beautifully, which I found very satisfying! It's particularly great as a thin layer for the final step of your skincare routine before bed. Even those with oily skin like me can comfortably use this texture! ♡ Effects To be honest, there wasn't a dramatic brightening effect, but that's actually preferable for a night cream as anything too intense might be overwhelming. As I mentioned earlier, when applied as a thin layer at the end of your skincare routine, I noticed my skin had a beautiful glow the next morning. It almost feels like using a sleeping mask. Regarding pore reduction, I haven't seen significant results yet, possibly due to the short usage period, but I'll continue to monitor the effects with continued use! ♡ Recommended Skin Types All skin types (though for those with oily skin, I recommend applying a thin layer like I do) I didn't experience any blemishes while using this product, and it doesn't seem to have any negative effects on the skin! I used it very comfortably, so I don't have any particular complaints. The only slight disappointment was that when I woke up in the morning, my skin had such a intense glow that it almost looked a bit too shiny. But I think this is because of my oily skin type - it's not the cream's fault! Apply a thin layer as the final step of your skincare routine, like a sleeping mask, before going to bed! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 11, 2025
✅ Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and dry U-zone (acne-prone skin) ✅ Skin condition: Acne scars and visible pores in the butterfly zone ✅ Product texture: Soft and creamy consistency ✅ Product scent: Unscented, no particular fragrance ✅ Color: Slight beige tone The creamy texture absorbs well. It spreads smoothly, and as per the instructions, I applied a small amount and layered it twice. As a brightening moisturizer, it has a slight beige tint that naturally brightens the complexion by one shade when applied. I have noticeable pores in the butterfly zone, but this alone helps minimize their appearance. After applying this product and following with a cushion foundation, my pores are barely visible, making my skin look great! I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it evened my skin tone and provided a blurring effect. My skin tone tends to be yellowish, so I usually use shade 21. If you have fairer and clearer skin than mine, I think this would work even better for a radiant look. I plan to repurchase! I didn't find any particular drawbacks. It was a satisfying product overall. It works best when you layer it thinly, applying it twice. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
I'm sharing my review after using this product day and night for about 10 days. It absorbs well and feels hydrating. It glides on smoothly in a thin layer. When applied lightly to the face, it seems to instantly minimize pores like a primer! On dry spring mornings, I applied it at the cream stage before foundation, and it didn't cause much oiliness. The best part was when I applied it to my neck before bed - my neck wrinkles seem to have improved! Also, I had a lot of blemishes on my cheeks recently, but they've subsided significantly, and my overall complexion appears brighter. (Previously, I often thought 'Why does my skin look so dull?' when looking in the mirror, but I haven't had that thought while using this product, so I'd say it has improved my overall facial complexion) There wasn't really anything I disliked! The texture, scent, absorption, and suitability for day and night use were all good. If I had to mention one thing, it's not exactly a deeply hydrating type that can tackle deep dryness, but that's about it. I recommend applying it to your neck morning and evening. The noticeable neck wrinkles seem to have softened a bit. I've only used it for 10 days so far, but I plan to continue using it consistently to see how it improves my neck wrinkles and skin - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 11, 2025
My skin type: I have sensitive skin prone to redness. My face tends to heat up easily, and the trapped heat often leads to blemishes. Application: It applies thinly, smoothly, and feels moisturizing. The texture isn't heavy. Absorption: Due to its thin consistency, it absorbs well and leaves the skin feeling hydrated even after absorption. Scent: There's a subtle, refreshing herbal fragrance. Brightening effect: I applied it before bed and was worried it might clog my pores overnight as my face looked brighter, similar to wearing a sunscreen with a white cast. However, I woke up with a subtle glow, just like when I use other moisturizers. I'm not sure if it's entirely due to this product, but people have been complimenting my skin lately. Considering my skin is holding up well despite wearing a mask at work, I wonder if the probiotics in the cream are working well for me. I'm delighted that I accidentally received two of these products, and I'm sure I'll use both bottles to the last drop. Thank you! I didn't have any major complaints. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it's less hydrating compared to regular moisturizers, probably because it focuses more on brightening and probiotic effects. However, I actually preferred how thinly it applies, as highly hydrating creams can sometimes be too thick and cause makeup to pill. I loved mixing this product in a 1:1 ratio with sunscreen, base, and foundation. It helped the makeup apply smoothly without clumping, while giving my skin a subtle brightness and radiance. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 10, 2025
As someone with oily skin, I find layering multiple products heavy and suffocating, so I usually stick to just toner and moisturizer. Worried that using only toner and this product might leave my skin feeling dry, I decided to apply it after my usual toner and moisturizer routine. The application was fantastic - it spreads thinly and evenly. A little goes a long way! While absorption rates may vary depending on skin type, I found it absorbed a bit slower than my moisturizer, which is typical for my skin. The texture feels hydrating, and even though I have visible pores, this product definitely creates a blurring effect. It leaves my skin looking smooth with a hydrated glow, yet somehow matte at the same time. 'Blur' is truly the perfect word to describe it. While hydration and matte usually don't go together, looking in the mirror after applying this product, I can see a moisturized glow with pores naturally filled in, creating a matte appearance. I think this would work great as a final step in skincare routines for those with dry or normal skin types. This product seems to be famous for its whitening effects, but I was disappointed to find absolutely no brightening results whatsoever. Because it's quite moisturizing, my hair kept sticking to my face after cleansing in the evening, and my bangs would get greasy. When it comes to brightening, it's even less effective than a tone-up sunscreen!
