In December of 2024, I used the Hwahae cleansing milk. It was not irritating and applied smoothly. The cleansing power was better than expected. After using it, there was no tightness, which was good. The ingredients were gentle, so there were no particular skin troubles.

I tried using the product because it was said to have a skin-soothing effect, but I didn't see any results, so I went back to the product I had been using before. When I did that, I was surprised to see my skin visibly improving. It seems like it's just not right for me.

Hwahae is recommended for people with normal skin types.

The basic cleansing power is relatively high, but other milks only remove sunscreen, while this one removes everything except waterproof mascara, so you can cleanse your face with just the eye makeup remover and milk even on a full makeup day. And when you rinse it off, it emulsifies, and you can see the sebum melting away in the pores, so any bumps or closed comedones disappear.
The skin is left hydrated and smooth.

It wasn't too stimulating, and it was well-rinsed, so there wasn't really anything to be disappointed about.

I'm a bit oily lately and have been getting some pimples. I've heard that not using cleansing oil can help in such cases, so I tried using a cleansing milk this time.

For cleansing products, the pump-type ones that you just press down on are the best. It's already a hassle to wash my face, and using them on the wet sink is quite inconvenient - having to twist open the cap or take off the lid is a bother, and they sometimes grow mold too.

Makeup removal power is stronger with oil, but since I usually only wear sunscreen and a bit of BB cream, the cleansing milk was sufficient for me.

The texture isn't heavy and is light like a lotion, so when I do a second cleanse with a foaming cleanser, it feels more thorough and leaves no residue. Also, with oil, there's sometimes a hazy feeling in my eyes, but that's less of an issue with this.

Personally, I felt the fragrance was similar to the pine needle beverage. It seems like those who enjoy a slightly refreshing herbal scent will find it suitable. The fragrance itself is not overpowering or unpleasant, so it's worth considering.

Compared to the same volume, it feels slightly more expensive.

3. Slightly Creamy Texture Requires Multiple Pumps
However, 3-4 pumps are sufficient to cover the entire face comfortably. But it may get used up quickly.

There are no other notable downsides besides these three points.

The skin feels smooth and moisturized after cleansing with milk, without any residual stickiness or excessive dryness. The cleansing power is effective in removing Kiss Me mascara and foundation. Personally, I did not experience any skin irritation, even though the product contains the mild exfoliating ingredient PHA. The emulsification process is smooth and gentle when rolling the milk over the entire face and rinsing with water.

There were no issues with the product quality. The only drawback was that the remaining amount could not be confirmed.

Using cleansing milk to remove makeup was my first experience, so I was a bit skeptical. But I was surprised at how thoroughly and cleanly it removed everything. I disliked the runny feel of cleansing oils, and the cleansing balm I used before required spatula application, which was a bit inconvenient. But the milk just requires a simple pump, making it very easy and pleasant to use.

Before receiving this product, I had been going through a terrible time and my skin had become a mess. But using the milk was gentle and non-irritating.

After cleansing, my skin felt clean without any greasy residue. Personally, it left my skin feeling neither too dry nor too moisturized, just right.

However, I'm not sure if my makeup is completely removed with just one cleansing, so I've been lightly wiping it off first with cleansing water and cotton pads before using the milk. When I tried applying it directly to my eye makeup, it stung a bit 🤣 but I think it would be fine with a gentler application.

Unlike with cleansing oils or balms, I didn't feel any grime or sebum particles being extracted. But my skin doesn't feel rough or uneven, so I think the milk is still effectively reducing sebum.

I didn't feel like my pores were being removed or my skin barrier was being strengthened.

The fragrance was lovely. It had a refreshing, rosemary-like aroma!! I used to use a cleansing oil, but definitely felt my skin was more comfortable using the milk cleanser!! The cleansing power wasn't great at removing eye makeup, but it seemed to do a good job at removing face makeup!! It felt refreshing as it cleansed and rinsed off well with water!!

I applied it like a pack and then rubbed it in the opposite direction to wash it off, and it cleaned much better!

There were actually no disappointing aspects. The capacity is a bit small..? However, it seems like I will be able to directly replace the cleansing milk I used before!

This is a slightly watery Greek yogurt formula. It applies smoothly and rinses off cleanly. It is highly recommended for oily and combination skin, and can even be used on dry skin. It is very moisturizing and gentle.

The part I liked the most was that even when rinsing with just water, there is not much oiliness left behind, so there is no greasy film on the eyes. The formula is not runny, so the application and finish are clean. It does not sting the eyes, and most importantly, it cleanses thoroughly, leaving no makeup residue behind.

Another great thing is the pump - it works very well. Other products can get messy during pumping or become runny, but this one does not have that issue.

I'm not sure about the pore effect, but it hasn't increased, so it's fine.

My skin is dry, and the dryness has become quite severe recently, especially in the winter. I usually just use a base and a cleansing cream.

The creams I used before were irritating when they got in my eyes, and they felt slippery even after the first cleansing, which was inconvenient. But this one doesn't feel slippery after cleansing, and it doesn't sting, which is great!!

The pumping doesn't feel refreshing! It comes out little by little, which is disappointing!
