I've been using purple brightening moisturizers more often than pink ones lately. The purple ones give a noticeable improvement to my complexion with just a small amount. Perfect for this hot weather, they feel light on the skin without any stickiness. Even when worn alone, the brightening effect lasts for hours, so I find myself reaching for it every morning! I personally prefer a bit of a brightening effect, so when my complexion looks dull, I just apply a layer and it instantly gives me that fresh, radiant look. It's great for achieving that "no-makeup" look while still having flawless-looking skin. It does an excellent job at neutralizing yellow undertones, so it's perfect for Asian skin tones. I also highly recommend it as a base for those with cool undertones who love pink-toned makeup! The brightening effect is quite intense, so it's best suited for those with slightly fair skin. If you have a darker complexion, there might be a noticeable difference between your face and neck. It's not a completely matte, powdery finish - it's more fresh compared to pink brightening moisturizers. With proper skincare underneath, it can feel hydrating, so don't expect a super matte, powdery finish. Since it has a slightly powdery finish, to prevent pilling, apply it carefully with your hands after skincare. Avoid the hairline and areas with more peach fuzz for the best application. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 18, 2025
I picked this up while vacationing in Japan since it was a bit cheaper than in Korea. I chose the purple shade because my face tends to be a bit yellow, and it does a pretty good job of evening out my complexion! It feels more powdery than moisturizing, so it might be suitable for those with oily skin. While it works well for evening skin tone, I find the texture a bit rough when applying, so I don't reach for it very often. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinNov 30, 2024
Since my skin has a yellowish tone, using this purple sunscreen definitely evens out my complexion It stings if applied too close to the eyes. If you're using it alone without foundation or cushion, reapplying after some time might be more effective for maintaining the brightening effect - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 9, 2024
Hydration: It's so moisturizing! I have dry skin, and it's really hydrating. It should work well for those with dry skin, but the texture is light and refreshing, so even those with oily skin could use it comfortably. Among sunscreens with this type of texture, some tend to run like water, but this one doesn't drip even when you sweat, which is great! Brightening: It gives a natural brightening effect, not like the white cast from typical sunscreens! Since it has a purple tint, it helps correct yellow undertones. It gives a cool-toned appearance to your skin. Makeup Base: When you apply makeup after this sunscreen, your makeup stays put all day. Plus, with the added brightening effect, it feels like you've applied a brightening moisturizer. Sun Protection: With an SPF of 50 and PA++++, it goes without saying how effective it is. Still, I reapply it frequently! Personally, I don't find any downsides. If I had to mention one, it would be the slightly high price... Try to buy it when it's on sale! Use it instead of a makeup base before applying makeup. It brightens your complexion beautifully, making it perfect for a no-foundation makeup look. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2024
For those with decent skin condition A sunscreen that corrects yellow undertones while keeping skin moisturized Longevity: Excellent Absorbs: Excellent Hydration: Excellent This is a useful product when you want to correct a yellow complexion. The whitening effect is strongest with Mild, followed by Purple, then Pink. It's a fail-proof product that brightens, evens skin tone, and hydrates. Sometimes I go out wearing just the purple sunscreen without any makeup. However, as it's a color-correcting product, it might look slightly unnatural in areas without yellow undertones. I don't mind it much though. The photo shows me wearing only the sunscreen. I use it to even out my skin tone when my face has a yellow cast. Recommended to use before applying makeup. If you found this helpful, please give it a like! As it's a color-correcting product, it might look slightly unnatural in areas without yellow undertones. I felt a slight tingling around my mouth, but it subsided after a few minutes! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 10, 2024
This is so light and effective at evening out skin tone that people with great complexions could just apply this and head out! I believe it's for combination dehydrated skin, and it absorbs so smoothly. The sunscreen scent is overwhelmingly strong, making me question if the ingredients are good...? While it didn't cause any major blemishes, the smell is quite unpleasant. If you have a yellowish undertone, you'll be very satisfied with this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinAug 27, 2024
As someone with extremely dry skin, I've tried countless sunscreens, but none seem to match Dalba's hydrating power and how well it sits under makeup. This product even evens out my skin tone, making it perfect for a foundation-free look. While the coverage isn't great, which is a bit disappointing, it does give a subtle glow and brightens the complexion. It works well as a base product.
