It's designed for easy opening, which I appreciate. Plus, it's new, which is exciting. The mask is generously sized, making it suitable even for those with larger faces. The eye and mouth holes are appropriately placed, making it comfortable to wear. What I loved most is that the packaging contains ample essence. You know the unwritten rule - don't waste a drop, spread it everywhere! I even applied some on my neck, and it gave a slight tingling sensation. After using products that seemed to have no noticeable effect, this one gives me a feeling of immediate results.
ConsI was on my period with some blemishes and my usual redness, so it stung a bit more and made my skin redder. But I was reassured knowing that's normal for this type of product. The mask tends to slip down a bit. It takes quite a while to set.
TipIt felt refreshing, which was nice. There's so much essence, it feels wasteful to use it only on the face. Remember to apply sunscreen the next day if you're going outside.

I was initially scared to use it because of the '1000 Spicules' claim, thinking it might sting like microneedles. However, the application wasn't irritating at all. It was great to use after removing excess sebum or in the evening after a workout when my skin felt hot. I could leave it on for a long time, allowing my skin to calm down nicely.
ConsBefore it dried or was fully absorbed, the mask pack kept sliding down my face. After a while, it stayed in place even when I moved around, but initially, I had to keep readjusting it, which was a bit frustrating.

It's not overly irritating, just a slight burning sensation when the mask is on. The ampoule absorbs quickly without stickiness. There's plenty, so I applied it three times. However, since I applied it directly without letting it fully absorb, my dry skin felt a bit dehydrated. The mask pack comes in two parts for upper and lower face, with plastic on both sides. Remove them one at a time when applying. As a first-time user of hydrogel masks, I found it adheres well to the face like seaweed. However, being in two parts, it kept sliding down initially. Be careful not to grab it with your nails as it tears easily. Once the outer layer dries a bit, it stays in place better! Moisturizing-wise, it's non-sticky and fresh. It might not be enough for winter, though. It doesn't deeply hydrate like regular sheet masks. Effect-wise, right after use, it visibly reduces heat and tightens pores. While one use won't make a huge difference, consistent use of products like this and needle shots can gradually improve skin appearance. I often get compliments on my skin when I meet friends after a while. There's a clear difference between maintaining a skincare routine and not. I hope to see good results after using all 8 Mediheal products.
ConsDrawbacks: Sliding - Despite being in two parts for better adherence, it kept sliding down while I was sitting until the outer layer dried. This was a bit inconvenient, but it stayed put once dry. Time - While most mask packs take 15 minutes, I kept this on for about 2 hours. The instructions say to remove it after 30 minutes when it becomes transparent, but that wasn't nearly enough time. The time investment required is a bit burdensome.

At first, I thought the initial ampoule might be a bit harsh, but by the next day, my skin actually felt calmer. The ampoule has a very lightweight texture, and the mask adheres better than regular sheet masks. It even seemed to stick more closely as time passed. I could lie down for about 20 minutes, and for the rest of the drying time, I could go about my daily activities at home without it falling off. The scent wasn't particularly noticeable. While I didn't experience any dramatic pore tightening, I was satisfied because my makeup applied well the next day and my skin felt soothed.
ConsWell, here's why it's a 4-star review: it's a bit pricey. Also, the ampoule might cause blemishes for some people depending on their skin type. There's a slight tingling sensation, and after removing the mask, my skin felt a bit itchy. Not too much though! And for me, the mask took about 2 hours to dry completely, which is quite long. This may vary from person to person, but it's best to use when you have plenty of time to spare.

I think even those with super sensitive skin could use this comfortably.
ConsYou're supposed to keep the mask on for about 30 minutes until it becomes transparent, but it starts to dry out and feels dehydrating before it reaches that point.
TipI'll need to use it a bit longer to really see the full effects.

Thickness: This was my first time using a gel mask, and I was surprised by how thin it was! I expected it to be much thicker, but it wasn't. The thinness made it comfortable to wear while doing other things. Hydration: This is a clear-off mask that becomes transparent. It's supposed to take about 30 minutes to turn clear, but for me, it took about an hour. That must mean it's packed with hydration! Size: The size was just right, which was a plus! It's not so big that it sticks to your hair, hitting that sweet spot. Essence amount: Uniquely, this gel mask comes with a micro-needle essence! The 1000 micro-needles were a bit uncomfortable, but that's intentional. My skin felt firmer the next day, which I think was largely due to the micro-needles. I'll summarize my overall thoughts after discussing the downsides. Please note that experiences may vary, so consider my review as a reference point.
ConsAdherence: Oh my... Is this normal for all gel masks? Once it starts to dry a bit, it's okay, but at first, it was so loose it felt uncomfortable. Price: Honestly, I like this gel mask! It's great, especially with the micro-needle essence! But is it worth paying about four times more than other masks? Occasionally, maybe! But not as a regular purchase. There are many good, inexpensive masks these days, so this is more of an occasional treat. Overall: I might repurchase, but only occasionally. The inclusion of the micro-needle essence makes it more cost-effective than other gel masks, so I probably won't look for different gel masks. When I'm in the mood for a gel mask, I'll likely choose this one. Please remember that experiences may vary, so consider my review as a reference.
TipTip: The nose area tends to lift quite a bit at first. However, this gel mask comes with eye hole cutouts. If you place these cutouts on the sides of your nose, it helps keep the whole mask in place even if it lifts slightly!

I used 5 masks over 8 days, focusing on the application method and perceived effects. 📌 It somewhat aids skin recovery - While the mask itself didn't show outstanding results, I noticed my facial skin felt more comfortable the morning after using it. I didn't experience immediate effects like pore tightening or increased elasticity, but thanks to the collagen mask, I felt a slight firmness in my skin beyond just hydration and oil balance. 📌 Suitable for sensitive skin - The principle is to penetrate active ingredients into the skin with micro-needles as the first step after cleansing, then cover with a collagen mask to aid absorption and recovery. My skin had irregular pustules all over my face due to hormone medication a month ago. I used it when the blemishes had slightly calmed down, and experienced no irritation or breakouts during or after use. It seems safe to use even on sensitive skin.
Cons📌 The required usage time is "excessively" long - The instructions state to remove the mask after 30 minutes, or 40 minutes in some cases. However, to properly use the collagen mask, it should change from an opaque white to transparent, like Chinese glass noodles, indicating proper absorption of active ingredients. This product only becomes partially transparent even after more than an hour. - For the mask to dry transparently, it took at least 1 hour when used in the order of cleansing - enclosed ampoule - mask, and 1 hour 30 minutes when additional skincare was applied between the ampoule and mask. Other users' reviews also confirm that it takes an average of 1 to 2 hours, which is double or more than the time stated by the company. The biggest drawback is the very long time investment required for treatment. 📌 For immediate effects, consecutive use for several days is recommended, but this can cause skin irritation - While it's reassuring that it doesn't cause significant irritation to sensitive skin, after 3 consecutive days of use, I experienced slight redness in some areas the following night. I took a two-day break before using it again, after which there were no issues. To achieve significant effects for pores, frequent use is required, but sensitive skin has limitations in this regard.
TipUse in this order: cleansing - penetrate skin with enclosed ampoule using micro-needles - absorb your usual functional ampoule or gel - apply collagen mask on top. Then you can do something while lying down for about 100 minutes. By the time I finished watching a short film, the mask had become transparent except for the lower cheek area.

As someone with super sensitive skin, I noticed some redness right after applying the ampoule. However, when I immediately followed up with the collagen mask, it had a soothing effect. After removing the mask, I could visibly see how my complexion became more radiant. The pores felt tighter, especially on my cheeks rather than my nose area. As one of The Hwahae Testers, I've used 5 of these every other day so far. While the effect on pores isn't dramatic (mine were quite large to begin with), I found it more effective in brightening my complexion and improving my skin texture, making it feel firmer.
ConsThe ampoule quantity is generous, so I initially applied it down to my neck. However, I don't recommend this as my neck felt quite a tingling sensation! It took me about 40 minutes for the mask to become transparent as shown in the attached photo. The next time I used it, I left it on longer, but as the mask dried, it adhered completely to my skin, making removal a bit painful. I think it's best to remove it as soon as it becomes transparent like in the photo to minimize irritation. Unfortunately, the collagen mask didn't properly cover the sides of my nose and front cheeks, which are usually my main areas of concern for pores. I had to use the eye hole cutouts to cover those parts.
TipWhen sitting with the mask on, it tends to slide down, so you absolutely need to lie down after applying it! After about 10 minutes of lying down, the outer part dries slightly and stops moving, allowing you to go about your activities more comfortably.

I usually don't like the feeling of serum dripping from sheet masks, but I loved that this gel mask didn't have that issue. There was a slight tingling sensation after applying the serum, but it wasn't uncomfortable enough to be a problem.
ConsAfter putting it on my face, I tried to do some housework, but it kept sliding down which was inconvenient. It's best to lie down until it dries a bit. It takes over 30 minutes for the mask to dry completely.
TipIt's even better when you use it after keeping it in the refrigerator.

I was worried it might sting a lot since it contains 1000 spicules, but it didn't sting at all except on areas with blemishes! It didn't cause any redness either! The product claims to be rich in collagen, and I think it really does have a pore-tightening effect! I was about to feel discouraged after taking my 'before' photo, but after leaving the mask on for an hour, the redness subsided and my pores seemed to have shrunk. I loved that the pack includes three small pieces for the eye area and lips. I applied one piece to each of my nasolabial folds and used the lip piece on my neck wrinkles.
ConsIt's supposed to dry in 30 minutes, but as others have mentioned, it takes over an hour. I recommend using it when you have plenty of time or before going to bed. Even with a fan blowing, it was still soft and moist after an hour. While this suggests it's a very hydrating mask, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't wear my glasses and had to sit idle for an hour longer than expected. Also, because the mask is so elastic and slippery, I found it really difficult to apply. The sheet separated from the mask as soon as I took it out. It might be easier if someone could help you put it on.
TipUsing a fan while wearing the mask seems to create a nice cooling effect all over your face! Even though I used the mask at room temperature, it gradually became cooler, and the cooling sensation lingered even after removing it.
