However, the positive reviews and intriguing spicule technology of this product caught my attention. Despite my past experiences with Mediheal products not agreeing with my skin, I decided to give it a try. I'm pleasantly surprised by how well it worked for me. Here's my review after using 4 masks: First off, I love the silicone-like texture of the mask. It adheres perfectly to the skin without causing any irritation. On the first day, I noticed a slight redness, which made me worry about potential irritation. But the real magic happened from the second day onwards. My skin felt deeply hydrated and plump, and I could see a noticeable improvement in my skin texture. The effects seem to last for about a week after each use.
ConsOn the downside, unlike other sheet masks, the eye and mouth areas aren't pre-cut, so you need to tear them yourself, which can be a bit inconvenient. I use these cut-out pieces on my smile lines to maximize usage. Also, there are protective sheets on both sides of the mask that need to be removed, which is a bit fiddly. During this process, some of the essence drips off, which feels a bit wasteful. While it's on the pricier side, I think it's worth picking up when it's on sale.
TipGiven how sensitive and dry my skin is, I've found that using this mask once every two months works best for me. I'm quite satisfied with this frequency. After removing the Step 2 mask, I gently pat my face to absorb the remaining essence, as my skin feels a bit tingly if I tap too hard. Since my skin is extremely dry, I follow up with an extra layer of moisturizer to lock in the hydration.

Its gel texture makes it easy to use, and you'll notice your skin feels softer the next day.
ConsUnfortunately, I didn't see any noticeable improvement in my complexion, which was a bit disappointing.
TipMake sure to leave it on for an adequate amount of time.

While stronger products can be more effective, they can also deepen scars if misused. With this one, you don't have to worry about that. Plus, this mask is the real deal when it comes to soothing. I found it even more effective when I used it to calm my skin after applying stronger products.
ConsThe mask's structure lacks enough cut lines, making it difficult to adhere well to the skin. Also, as an entry-level product, I found its performance a bit lacking, especially since I've already used more potent products.
TipYou can leave the mask on for over 30 minutes, until it becomes transparent.

Despite being 1000 shots, it's less tingling than expected and not uncomfortable - feels more like 300 shots. The ampoule is generous and hydrating. The scent isn't irritating, so it's easy to use without worry!
ConsI expected more of a sensation with 1000 shots, so that was a bit disappointing. The mask dries faster than expected for a 30-minute application, so those with dry skin might find 20-25 minutes more suitable.
TipIt's best to use this 2-3 times a week. For dry skin, applying plenty of ampoule before using the mask should enhance its effectiveness.

I received the product on October 2nd and have been using it since. Please note that this review is based on my experience during the changing seasons when my skin was particularly sensitive. Ingredients: This product has passed sensitivity tests for sensitive skin and received the highest 'excellent' rating from German derma tests, so you can use it with confidence in terms of ingredients. However, I noticed that the ingredient list includes some aromatic oils that could potentially cause skin irritation, so those sensitive to these should avoid it. Texture and Application: It's a 2-step gel mask. The ampoule, being the first step, didn't cause much tingling. The gel mask felt more firm than cool. It adheres well to the skin, but there's a slight tendency to slip immediately after application. It's best to wait until it sets a bit before going about your activities. As it's targeted for pore care, it feels more nourishing in terms of tightening pores rather than soothing or hydrating. While pore issues are challenging even for dermatologists, I didn't have high expectations. However, immediately after use, I felt like my pores appeared slightly filled.
ConsIngredients: Despite passing derma certifications and sensitivity tests, it doesn't feel particularly gentle. When I applied the ampoule with hands affected by eczema, it stung. During use, some areas felt itchy, and after removing the mask, I noticed redness in those spots. (I recommend avoiding use when your skin is in poor condition or already irritated.) Effectiveness: Right after use, I was pleased with the temporary pore-filling effect, but it seemed to work mainly on smaller pores around the cheeks. The effect on the nose area, where pores are larger, was less satisfying and seemed temporary. It doesn't address uneven skin texture. (Note that the product I received for this review event was the Spicule 1000, designed for mild pore care. The Spicule 3000 might potentially offer more satisfaction.) Price: At 5,000 won per mask including the 2-step ampoule, it's not unreasonably priced for a gel mask. However, personally, I might feel a bit disappointed if I paid full price for a single sheet. Still, as it's more of a periodic treatment rather than a daily use product, it could be worth trying during promotional events.
TipSince the Spicule 1000 and 3000 products are priced the same, next time I might opt for the 3000 for potentially better results. (The packaging looks identical, so be sure to check carefully.) It's best to use this when your skin is in good condition.

However, I got a great opportunity to give it a try. First, I applied the Step 1 ampoule until it was fully absorbed, and I was pleased with how it felt even on my novice skin without causing much irritation. There was only a very slight tingling sensation, nothing like a painful or burning feeling. Then, I applied the gel mask and left it on until it became transparent. After removing it, my skin had a real glow! Although temporary, my skin felt incredibly soft. I'm now very interested in the spicule ampoule and will definitely purchase it when it's released.
ConsWhile this is an effective product with visible temporary results, the price makes it challenging to use regularly as part of a daily mask routine.

But my skin adapted quickly! From the second use, I applied it without any discomfort. After a week, I even purchased the more intense Spicule M3000. ✔️Mask It's an opaque white gel-type mask that becomes transparent after 40+ minutes. For me, it took over an hour to turn clear, but despite the long duration, my skin didn't feel irritated or uncomfortable. ✔️After Use On the first day after removing it, I wasn't sure if it had made a difference. But the next day, when I applied makeup, I noticed my pores had significantly reduced. Seeing visible improvements made the slight tingling worth it! After the second use, I went to the Mediheal website and bought several Spicule packs to share with my mom and younger sister. ✔️Precautions Due to my age and decreased skin regeneration, I usually avoid retinol or spicules. However, I applied for The Hwahae Testers because of my pore elasticity concerns and the collagen content. While it's well-made and I used it correctly, caution is necessary: 1. I use vitamin C and retinol daily, but I skipped them on Spicule pack days due to potential irritation. 2. Since it involves needle-like structures delivering active ingredients, those prone to blemishes should ensure their hands are clean to prevent bacteria. Thorough cleansing the next day is crucial to ensure proper shedding of the needles. ✔️Recommendation I highly recommend it. It's less irritating than dermatological procedures, shows quick results, and is reasonably priced - I love it all. However, for those over 40 with slower skin regeneration, using it 1-2 times a week is better than daily use. It's perfect for those in their 20s-30s, or even for men with relatively thicker skin.
ConsThere was some irritation, but it's minor compared to dermatological procedures. It stings slightly, but you adapt quickly. On days when you experience more redness, it's advisable to skip it.
TipPeptides often don't absorb well, but they're a perfect match when applied on Spicule pack days! While the formula contains panthenol, it might not be enough. I recommend finishing with a generous layer of regenerating cream for best results.

Surprisingly, I slept with just this product on, skipping my usual skincare routine, and my skin didn't feel dry at all. Although I have sensitive skin that easily reddens, and the first step of application did cause a slight tingling sensation (not a burning feeling), I didn't experience any swelling or redness.
ConsThe tingling sensation persisted even when washing my face the next day, so you need to cleanse thoroughly. Also, I noticed some oiliness around my nose area the following day.

However, I was pleasantly surprised that I could use this without any irritation after application! ✅ After cleansing, I first applied the spicule serum. There was a slight tingling sensation, but it wasn't burning or excessively painful, which was great! ✅ The collagen mask needs to be left on for 30-40 minutes or more. Unlike regular sheet masks, this collagen mask doesn't drip or cause discomfort during daily activities, making it convenient even for longer use. ✅ After use, my skin texture became smoother, and I loved that it provided care without irritating my sensitive skin. ✅ When applying skincare afterwards, perhaps thanks to the spicules, my skin absorbed products even better. While the mask is primarily for pore care, it also helped with the absorption of other skincare ingredients.
Cons❌ If you have long nails, be careful when applying the collagen mask as it can easily tear. ❌ While it's generally non-irritating, since it contains spicules, those with sensitive skin should pay extra attention to their subsequent skincare routine. It's best not to use this simultaneously with exfoliation or other intensive treatments.
TipI've frequently used Mediheal mask packs before, but this one offers a different texture from traditional sheet masks while providing even deeper care! For best results, after using the spicules and before applying the collagen mask, you can first apply any serums you want your skin to absorb well. This can be even more beneficial for your skin.

There was a bit of a tingling sensation, which made me wonder if it was working properly. But I didn't experience any redness or irritation. I definitely noticed it helped tighten the pores around my nose and improve my complexion. I think I'd be happy to repurchase this in the future!
ConsThere's nothing I dislike about it! If I had to say something, I guess I wish it were a bit more affordable for frequent use. When I buy it with my own money next time, I'm planning to get the level 2 version to see even more noticeable results.
TipI found a great way to use the extra bits of the mask sheet around the eyes and mouth - I stick them on the empty spaces under my eyes and beside my nose. This way, I can do a thorough mask treatment without leaving any gaps!
