While it won't cover blemishes or minimize pores, it instantly brightens your complexion by about half a shade. ❗️Moisturizing formula The lightweight, runny texture absorbs well and is easy to apply. Perfect for quickly smoothing on during busy mornings.
Cons❗️Even when carefully squeezing to avoid product buildup around the opening, the first bit that comes out next time is always clumped together. (After using it a few more times, it seems the whole product might be clumping...) ❗️It's quite rich, which can interfere with makeup application afterwards. ❗️When worn alone, it has almost no staying power. ❗️The packaging design feels a bit outdated.

Despite having sunscreen properties, the thin consistency makes it feel like it's melting into your skin effortlessly. While it doesn't offer much coverage, it's great for evening out your complexion naturally. It doesn't leave a greasy finish, and the brightening effect lasts all day. If you don't have blemish-prone skin, this could be your everyday go-to product.
ConsUnfortunately, instead of absorbing into my skin, it felt like it was creating a film and caused my acne to flare up. I don't wear makeup often, so I tend to use brightening moisturizers with SPF, but this product just didn't agree with my skin, which is disappointing. It could be a great product if it didn't cause skin irritation, but it's just not the right fit for me.

Application: Due to its high hydration content, it initially sits on top of the skin slightly when applied. There's a bit of surface movement right after spreading it with your hands, but it absorbs quickly when patted in with a cushion puff. Scent: I couldn't really detect any noticeable fragrance. Color: It has a foundation-like hue. Brightening effect: It definitely evens out the complexion and noticeably brightens the skin tone! Even in photos, you can see a significant difference between the areas where it's applied and where it's not.
ConsAs someone with combination skin, I found it a bit drying. A few hours after application, I started to feel some dryness.
TipFor those with dry skin, I recommend deeply hydrating your skin before using this product. Secondly, it's best to apply this using a cushion puff or similar tool for optimal results.

Even though I have combination dehydrated skin and don't usually go for overly hydrating base products, this leaves my skin feeling comfortably moisturized with a balanced oil and moisture balance, not matte at all. Brightening effect - It doesn't make your face look unnaturally white, but gives a subtle, natural brightening effect that's about one shade lighter. If you're looking for a dramatic brightening effect, this might not be enough. However, it's perfect as a base before makeup - it's adequately moisturizing, applies thinly without being too thick, doesn't cause pilling, and creates an ideal canvas for makeup application!
ConsCoverage - There's no coverage at all, it just slightly brightens the skin tone. As someone hoping for a foundation-free look, this was a bit disappointing. However, if you have flawless skin without blemishes, this would look beautifully sheer and clean on you. Richness - After application, it's not excessively sticky, but there's a slight rich feeling. If you have oily skin or prefer a matte finish, you might need to blot with oil-absorbing sheets. Scent - Personally, I'm not a fan of the fragrance... It has a strong, old-fashioned scent that reminds me of my mother's old cosmetics.

It naturally covers, brightens the complexion, and adds a subtle glow without being irritating. Scent: Unlike typical sunscreens, it doesn't have that harsh chemical smell. Instead, there's a subtle, pleasant fragrance that isn't bothersome at all after application. I actually prefer it to unscented products! The brightening effect gives a healthy, radiant look - perfect if you want a slight brightening without looking overly made-up. However, if you're looking for a dramatic transformation, you might find this a bit subtle. It's more about enhancing your natural skin tone with a touch of radiance and brightness, rather than a complete change. As someone with redness-prone, sensitive skin, I'm incredibly picky about sunscreens. But this LYS White Magic UV Tone-Up didn't cause any stinging, even when applied after essence and emulsion [based on a week of use]. There was a slight itch initially, but it quickly subsided and didn't recur with continued use. The brightening effect is long-lasting. It's not like wearing foundation - think of it as elevating your natural skin tone for a healthier look. The results are quite impressive! My mother even tried it and liked it so much she asked for her own! It's less likely to emphasize dead skin cells compared to other products. I didn't experience any white cast either. It feels like a moisturizing sunscreen, and when I apply cushion foundation over it, my skin looks naturally brighter by another shade. It doesn't feel tight after application, which is great. The texture is a non-runny cream.
ConsAs someone with super sensitive skin, I experienced a slight itch when I first used it - possibly due to the fragrance. It was less noticeable the second time. I'm mentioning this for other sensitive-skinned folks to keep in mind. Given how reactive my skin usually is, the fact that I found this tolerable speaks volumes. The slight itch only occurred on initial application and didn't persist. Could it be the fragrance?
TipIf you have dead skin cells, it might be beneficial to apply this after thoroughly moisturizing your skin!

It's perfect for when you don't want to wear foundation but don't want to go bare-faced either. - Highly recommended for dry and very dry skin types. As mentioned, it has a rich feel that prevents excessive dryness, and it leaves skin feeling slightly powdery without being heavy. Plus, it gives your skin a glow that makes it look healthy.
Cons- I'm not sure what the scent is, but personally, I don't like the cosmetic smell. - As mentioned in several reviews, the cream and oil layers separate, so if you don't shake it well, a lot of oil comes out. - Due to its rich texture, it's not recommended for combination or oily skin. I also wouldn't recommend it for those who, like me, have dry skin but with oily areas on the nose, chin, and forehead.
Tip- Make sure to shake well before use to mix the oil and cream layers - After application, set with powder on the forehead, sides of the nose, and chin - If the rich texture feels too heavy, try applying it on your neck or arms

Personally, I've come to love doing foundation-free makeup with just brightening moisturizer. It's perfect for busy mornings - saves time on makeup while giving a sheer, pretty skin finish. I've been keeping my makeup light lately. Do you know exactly what 'foundation-free' means? It refers to skipping cushions or foundations typically used for skin correction in the makeup routine. You need a product that can provide some tone correction, coverage, and sun protection with just one application. I was thrilled to be selected to try this foundation-free brightening moisturizer that seemed perfect for me in The Hwahae Testers program! The LYS White Magic UV Tone-Up is like a skincare product that inhibits melanin production to prevent future dark spots, while also helping to fade existing ones for a brightening effect. It contains 6 special brightening ingredients: Vitamins B, C, and E, along with arbutin, tranexamic acid, and acetyl glucosamine. No need to look up the unfamiliar ingredients - it's passed skin irritation tests with a 0.00 reaction score. Even those with super sensitive skin like me can use it comfortably. I didn't experience any blemishes or redness after using this product, so I recommend trying it without worry. It's even completed food-grade safety reporting, so you can trust it's been made with extra care for safety. Let's see if it works as a foundation-free option: - Sun protection: SPF50+ PA++++ blocks even strong UV rays - Evens skin tone: Provides natural and hydrating tone correction - Coverage: Since it has gentle ingredients, the coverage isn't heavy. I finish with concealer or cushion. But it goes on so dewy that people say my skin looks much better! - Packaging: The sturdy container (not a tube) reduces risk of leaks and makes it easy to control the amount Seems like a great foundation-free product, doesn't it?
ConsThe downside is that it's a bit tricky to use this brightening moisturizer alone. The ingredients are almost too gentle! But since it's said to suppress dark spots and melanin pigmentation with long-term use like skincare, I'll probably use this product along with a cushion foundation.

Then I came across this product just when I was starting to admire that glowy skin look! Texture: It has a slightly slippery feel, and when applied to the face, it creates a radiant finish with a balance of oil and moisture! Brightening effect: The color is similar to foundation, so it provides more of a brightening effect than regular white sunscreens. I have a lot of blemishes, so I can't use this product alone, but for those who usually only wear sunscreen, this might be enough for a natural, bare-faced beauty look! Blemishes: I haven't experienced any significant blemishes after use, so I've been using it consistently for over a week. Scent: There's a slight cosmetic scent, but since I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances, it didn't bother me.
ConsThose who are sensitive to fragrances might have mixed feelings about this product.

It applies evenly without clumping, and true to its brightening claims, it naturally enhances my complexion without leaving a white cast. The packaging looks quite luxurious, and the tube dispenses just the right amount. I think I'll be using this frequently. Personally, I don't find the fragrance overwhelming either.
ConsThere weren't any major drawbacks, but when I saw the regular price, it seemed a bit steep.

Despite having dry skin, I didn't feel any dryness, assuming I've done thorough basic skincare. I have slightly sensitive skin, but I didn't experience any blemishes or itching when using this product. Scent: I don't like overpowering fragrances, but this has a subtle, powder-like scent that's not overwhelming, making it suitable even for those sensitive to fragrances. Texture: It has a slightly more fluid consistency compared to typical sunscreens, allowing it to apply thinly on the skin.
ConsBrightening effect: I usually use shades 19-21, but this didn't provide any brightening effect beyond my natural skin tone. Application: It doesn't absorb into the skin automatically, so if you don't blend it thoroughly, it can leave a white cast. However, I think this is characteristic of most sunscreens.
TipIt's better to apply thin layers multiple times rather than applying a large amount at once. I applied it with my hands, but given its texture, it might work better with a puff. Some other users with dry skin have reported it to be drying, so it might be beneficial to use a hydrating skincare routine before applying this product.
