It keeps my skin moisturized without any pilling or caking when I apply makeup. Unlike other brightening moisturizers that can look too white or sit on the skin, the LYS sunscreen doesn't have that issue. It's perfect to use before makeup for a brightening effect! I definitely want to repurchase when I finish this one. Those with oily skin might find it a bit rich. Other than that, I can't think of any downsides. While it won't cover blemishes or minimize pores, it instantly brightens your complexion by about half a shade. ❗️Moisturizing formula The lightweight, runny texture absorbs well and is easy to apply. Perfect for quickly smoothing on during busy mornings. ❗️Even when carefully squeezing to avoid product buildup around the opening, the first bit that comes out next time is always clumped together. (After using it a few more times, it seems the whole product might be clumping...) ❗️It's quite rich, which can interfere with makeup application afterwards. ❗️When worn alone, it has almost no staying power. ❗️The packaging design feels a bit outdated.

It had a somewhat luxurious and clean look that was quite pretty. Upon opening, I found the texture to be fluid but not runny. It's a thin, moisturizing emulsion-like consistency that spreads easily. The emulsion-like texture applies smoothly without any effort. You can just slather it on with your hands without worrying about how it'll spread. As a brightening moisturizer, it gives a radiant look without being too light. It brightens your complexion by about one shade, giving a fresh appearance. After a little while, it seems to blend in naturally with your skin. When I applied foundation over this product, it didn't make my skin look overly bright but blended well for a natural look. Above all, it's incredibly hydrating, which makes it perfect for use from this drying season right through winter! I have sensitive skin that becomes extremely reactive and dry during seasonal changes, often causing my makeup to flake. But when I use this product under my makeup, the hydration lasts longer, my makeup doesn't flake, and it adheres well - which I think is its best feature. The scent is like a floral cosmetic fragrance, but it's not overpowering. You can barely smell it on your face; I only noticed the scent on my hands after application. Even though I dislike strong fragrances, this one was fine, so I think even those sensitive to scents shouldn't have much issue with it. You need to shake the product well several times before using! If you don't shake it, the ingredients seem to separate inside. But it's fine once you give it a good shake. For a foundation-free look, I found it works great to just use concealer on areas that need coverage, then apply this brightening moisturizer. It's best to shake before use. Feels like a hydrating moisturizer and absorbs well. I liked that it didn't pill and absorbed quickly into the skin. It felt gentle without irritation. Above all, I could use it with peace of mind due to the absence of harmful ingredients. It's a mineral sunscreen without white cast and provides a natural brightening effect. Rather than a dramatic tone-up, I noticed my skin looked clearer and more radiant. With SPF 50+ PA ++++, it offers strong UV protection. Although I didn't see immediate results, I appreciated that it contains six brightening ingredients to inhibit pigmentation. It worked best as a brightening moisturizer before makeup rather than on its own. - When applied alone over light skincare, I felt some deep dryness. If you have dry, dehydrated skin, it's better to apply sufficient skincare products underneath. - It's not ideal for use alone as a foundation replacement. Despite having sunscreen properties, the thin consistency makes it feel like it's melting into your skin effortlessly. While it doesn't offer much coverage, it's great for evening out your complexion naturally. It doesn't leave a greasy finish, and the brightening effect lasts all day. If you don't have blemish-prone skin, this could be your everyday go-to product. Unfortunately, instead of absorbing into my skin, it felt like it was creating a film and caused my acne to flare up. I don't wear makeup often, so I tend to use brightening moisturizers with SPF, but this product just didn't agree with my skin, which is disappointing. It could be a great product if it didn't cause skin irritation, but it's just not the right fit for me.
