I have combination dehydrated skin that's prone to blemishes. I used to rely on Physiogel's DMT cream when I had acne, but eventually my skin became more sensitive and even that started causing breakouts due to excess oil. I switched to Regenerative since I heard it has more hydration than oil, and it's been a great match for me since its release. Although I have combination dehydrated skin, I prefer products with some oil content rather than just hydration alone. I like creams that give that supple feeling of well-balanced sebum production and make my skin feel protected, rather than those that seem to create a barrier. ✔️Texture and application It's not lightweight, but it spreads like a thin gel cream. As soon as you apply it, it adheres to the skin, providing hydration and a thin protective layer of moisture. What's great is that you can build up layers with each application. ✔️Absorption It definitely absorbs faster than the DMT products and feels clean on the skin. You can fine-tune the finish by adjusting how many layers you apply. ✔️Recommended skin types I think this works well for most skin types, except extremely oily or extremely dry skin. It's really versatile. The hydration is good and the finish is excellent. If you need more moisture after applying this cream, you can add a drop of facial oil on top or mix it in, making it as effective as many other creams out there. I haven't found any drawbacks yet. I plan to use another bottle, so I'll update if I notice any issues later. It mixes well with other products, so I often customize it by adding hydrating essences or oils depending on my skin's needs that day. - kk********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 26, 2025
It definitely felt gentle on my skin, and when applied as the final step in my skincare routine, it gave a noticeable boost of hydration. The moisturizing effect was really impressive! The texture is a bit on the heavier side, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. It could be a love-it-or-hate-it product for some users. While the formula provides excellent hydration, those with oily or combination skin might find it too rich. However, if you have dry or dehydrated skin, this could be a great option to lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling supple throughout the day. - ki******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 23, 2025
It's gentle on the skin with no irritation and provides great hydration. I'll likely repurchase it. There's nothing I dislike about it. It suits my skin well, which I'm happy about. - hy******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 21, 2025
This is my go-to cream when my skin barrier is compromised. While other Physiogel products were too rich and caused blemishes, this one is truly amazing. The only downside is the price - it's a bit on the expensive side. But that's the only complaint I have! It works hard to repair and protect the skin without causing irritation. Despite being less oily than other Physiogel creams, it still provides excellent hydration and absorbs well into the skin. - ht********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 21, 2025
I've been using this since last year, and I've noticed it's really slimmed down! • As someone with dry skin, I found this so moisturizing and amazing after application! • This product is like a dear friend that revived my cracked, overly dry skin when I woke up. It's now an essential part of my skincare routine! My skin feels healthier since I started using this product. Strongly discourage for those with oily skin! • The product is already rich in oils, and even with my dry skin, I wake up with excess oil on my face. I can't imagine it would be suitable for those with oily skin types. And the price is a bit... I recommend applying a thin layer! The texture is quite thick, so if you apply too much, it can feel sticky and oily. - se********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresJun 18, 2025
This was the first cream I used when my skin suddenly flared up. I bought it because Physiogel is famous for its barrier cream and is known to be good for combination skin. If you apply it little by little, it's fine. It feels like it's creating a protective layer on your skin. How should I describe it... it smells like a swimming pool? There's a water-like scent. Also, if you apply too much, it doesn't absorb well and leaves your face looking pale. The cream seems to work well for sensitive or irritated skin when applied sparingly. It creates a protective barrier, which can be beneficial for maintaining skin health. However, the scent might be off-putting for some users, and over-application can lead to poor absorption and a whitish cast on the skin. It's best to use a small amount and adjust based on your skin's needs. - jy*******Combination SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 16, 2025
I initially bought this thinking it was somewhere between a gel cream and a regular cream, but it turned out to be more of a cream. Since my skin tends to get extremely dry in winter, I usually use Physiogel Intensive Cream. However, that's too heavy for spring, so I was looking for something lighter when I purchased this. It's lighter than the DMT cream but heavier than a typical moisturizer. It worked wonders during the changing seasons. Compared to other panthenol creams, it's lighter, and once it's fully absorbed, my skin feels incredibly soft and not at all dry until the next morning. I'm considering buying the Regenerative Cream instead of the Intensive for this winter. It seems to suit my skin better than I expected. Now that summer's here, it feels greasy, heavy, and sticky. It also takes longer to absorb, which is frustrating. It seems this cream is only suitable up until the changing seasons. I tend to sweat a lot, and when it gets hot, my skin shifts from dry to combination. While I still need a cream for surface dryness, this one only works until the changing seasons, so I'm back to searching for the right cream for summer. A helpful tip: after applying, wait a bit. Don't go to bed right away; wait until it's fully absorbed and your skin feels smooth before sleeping. - hj****Combination SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedJun 15, 2025
Unlike other Physiogel creams that can feel a bit heavy, this one has a light texture that's perfect for use before makeup. It absorbs well and doesn't leave your skin feeling rich or sticky. The amount of product is slightly less compared to other creams. However, if you buy the special set, they sometimes include a toner as a gratis item. - dk*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 14, 2025
In April, I tried a nourishing cream with PDRN, but it caused some blemishes. So I switched to this cream, which is known for being gentle and hydrating. I'm pleased to say it really helped calm my skin issues. I was considering the DMT Facial Cream, but since I have sensitive, combination skin, I opted for the Regenerative Cream for its lighter feel. During the dry April weather, it kept my skin moisturized until morning and even made my pores less noticeable. I used it well until May, but come June, it started to feel heavy when applied in the evening. The next morning, I'd notice tiny bumps appearing on my skin. I've since stopped using it and switched to a lighter moisturizer. While it's great for dry weather, it feels too heavy and suffocating during the summer months. For those with sensitive combination or combination dehydrated skin, I've found that during the tricky early spring transition period, applying a blemish serum followed by this cream works wonders for calming the skin. - lu*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 13, 2025
This gel cream has a nice, thick consistency. Despite being a gel cream, it forms a protective layer that truly feels like it's helping with barrier care. For combination dehydrated skin, using it alone or after 1-2 skincare steps should suffice. For dry skin, applying a deeply hydrating ampoule before this cream results in a perfectly smooth finish. As an added bonus, it provides a satisfactory level of hydration, making it great for basic moisturizing needs. There aren't any major drawbacks. Some individuals might find the finish slightly heavy when first using it, but this can vary from person to person. For those with dry skin, it's ideal as a night cream during transitional seasons. Try layering it over a barrier-care ampoule for best results.
